In Brazil, Afro-descendant people had a large part of their history systematically erased. We were forced to leave our lands, in an extremely painful rupture and, even today, many do not know our exact origin.
However, this tragedy was insufficient to disconnect the enslaved population from their culture and ancestry. Therefore, since 1980, our mission is to record in audio and video relevant acts of resistance by the black movement:
manifestations in the fields of politics, education, music, art, religion, sport and gastronomy.
That’s why we have the largest video collection of black culture in Latin America. We filmed to show on Brazilian screens the values that make us so proud and help to retell our history.
The time has come to launch the first Brazilian television 100% dedicated to black culture, produced mainly by black people for all those interested in black values.
By exposing true chapters of our narrative, representativeness and recognition on screen, we will reinforce the protagonism of black people, who are the majority in Brazil.
Audiovisual language is extremely powerful and is an essential element for the anti-racist movement around the world.
    Welcome to cultne.tv/
