Looking back at this vid nearly 2 years after it was uploaded is certainly an experience. Knowing what you go through going from not making Finals in 18 then getting the highest Independent World Score ever in 19 is insane to say the least.
Oh my gosh! I just saw this! I loved the Minnesota Brass show! I'm from Wisconsin and my drumline was at a couple of competitions that you guys were at!
Two things do you think that me as an eight grader would be able to be in a group like MBI? And second my percussion educator is in MBI, Do you know Brett Mclellan? (Vibraphone)
Yeah it's definitely possible! You'd have to work it out with wherever you go to school to be able miss a couple school days to go to WGI finals... And you probably can't drive yet, so you'd have to figure out how to get to rehearsals... but if you're good enough to be in it, you can be in it! And yeah I know Brett! I don't know him as well as I'd like, but I do know he's a great dude.
I'm surprised anyone noticed! Nice catch. It was making progress towards becoming really consistent, but we felt that because we couldn't nail it 100% of the time, we decided to take it out. So Zach played a crazy loud roll instead (he's good at that... he marched cadets), and I played a really loud shot on the downbeat (I'm good at that... I have a lot of pent-up anger)
Kyle Tsuchiya lol, me and my friend were really sad to see it gone, he's a bass drummer and I just like cool things, we were with cpi so we got to see the progress you guys made through the season and were sad to see them gone

Uuuugh this years show for MBI was so cool I got chills everytime I watched them perform this year.
The benefit of living 20ish minutes from Dayton is that I get to go to wgi championships
We had to drive like 16 hours to perform in 2019, boy was that an adventure
I'm gonna be going but to preform for stryke wynds
