I love that Sebastian asked a question on how to make the bluecoats based on having not as much experience. And he is in the bluecoats and I watch his streams all the time to ask questions
That's a really tough one! Each book was pretty different, which was really cool. The Jagged Line book definitely challenged me the most, and I really enjoyed the challenge, so I guess I'll choose that one
Heres a question hopefully you can answer. What do recommend for someone to practice if they want to make it into DCI/world class wgi? I'm 16 and im marching in a dca drumcorp to increase my skill and my goal is to hopefully march bluecoats
This is a seemingly dumb response, but getting better really isn't rocket science... all you have to do is identify what you're strengths/weaknesses are and then work your butt off to make those weaknesses not weaknesses anymore. And if you need help identifying your strengths and weaknesses are, find someone that can help you
Let's get to what's important these days: U pullin' for the Golden Knights, Kyle?? Meantime, really wish Bluecoats would travel west for the Rose Bowl shows... loving DCI in Vegas!
I wanted to include the entire (failed) attempt at playing twitch but for some reason my camera has a 30 min record limit! So it stopped recording right before we played twitch and I had to go start it again :( But thank you for asking us to do that. It was funny
I’m a junior in high school... my first year playing snare, and I’m center. I’ve been a percussionist all my life, and pick things up quickly. What do you think my chances are of making the bluecoats even once?
Ohhh I gotcha. DCA stands for Drum Corps Associates. It's a competitive drum corps circuit separate from DCI that is comprised of all-age drum corps primarily in the East Coast
Trust me... Zach was too hahaha. We all were at one point. But I saw Zach work his butt off for years to get better, and his diligence paid off... I really admire him for that. It's totally possible to make the switch to a drum and get really good at it! But you have to work really really hard like Zach did
@@vibewith.aaron0418 also if you're entering your freshman year, try to buy some sticks online, preferably ralf hardimons or something along that and get a practice pad. Theres plenty of tutorials on traditional grip on youtube
before you started marching with bluecoats, how was your high school marching experience? i noticed you said you’re from eden prairie, one of the best bands in the state. do you think being in of one the top bands promotes team building and compassion, or is it just trying to figure out how to beat Rosemount year after year?
Ryland Cook My experience at EP was amazing! I'm very thankful for the opportunities I had while I was there. It was never about winning... I can't necessarily speak for other high school band programs, but I think the marching band activity as a whole promotes team building and personal growth over 'competitive success.'
U guys suck and are bad at drums
and are ugly
That’s why you couldn’t ever make them
Found that clarinet player
Andrew Johnson hahaha
Gabe Hicks become drumline section leader of the bluecoats then talk
love how Sebastian asks a question about how to stand out and was the center snare for bloo last season
I love that Sebastian asked a question on how to make the bluecoats based on having not as much experience. And he is in the bluecoats and I watch his streams all the time to ask questions
New drinking game: Take a shot every time zach does a sticks in
Take a shot every time Zach hits a shot
Take a shot every time zach plays while Kyle is trying to talk
Take a shot every time Zach does a McNutt Special
hmm
:)
FloMarching lol
I’m still waiting to this day
@@ninjagame64 same
I’m here the same day that “sebastionplaysdrums” from this video MADE the bluecoats!!
Rip Blake I miss you brother!
Being friends with you two would be hella fun

Had to come back to this video after you guys brought home the gold👌🏽💯 Congrats again guys! What a season!
Great video, I asked the question about the style switching, thanks for answering!
2 Years later and this video is still great! Lol
Can you do another Q&A here on RUclips? I dont have insta lmao
I'd love to, but Idk if I have a large enough following on here yet to justify doing that haha
Lmao well my question is probably going to be, of all the years you marched Bluecoats, which book was the most fun to play?
That's a really tough one! Each book was pretty different, which was really cool. The Jagged Line book definitely challenged me the most, and I really enjoyed the challenge, so I guess I'll choose that one
This is the greatest video I've seen in like a yearrr
Heres a question hopefully you can answer. What do recommend for someone to practice if they want to make it into DCI/world class wgi? I'm 16 and im marching in a dca drumcorp to increase my skill and my goal is to hopefully march bluecoats
Mike L private lessons, probably from a dci vet but it doesn't have to be. They'll teach you a whole plethora of stuff you need and how to improve
This is a seemingly dumb response, but getting better really isn't rocket science... all you have to do is identify what you're strengths/weaknesses are and then work your butt off to make those weaknesses not weaknesses anymore. And if you need help identifying your strengths and weaknesses are, find someone that can help you
It's weird how I'm a percussionist and I also have a best friend named Zach that plays the saxophone
BloodFire I also have someone who went from sax to percussion, but his name is Elijah...
kyle after the SRC lick: “coolest moment of my entire life”
me: what about marching for the blue coats??😂
Is Gatorade sponsoring this? If not, they should. Made me want a foamy white Gatorade.
Jay P this made me want gummy bears
Hey Kyle. Love your videos and enjoy watching you play. I was wondering what kind of sticks you use. Do you have a favorite???
where can i find sheets for post nasal drip, i tried to look it up and all i get are symptoms of post nasal drip
Cool video!
Hi Aaron

Bro, I’m craving them pretzel crisps now, soooo good
Damn “sebastainplaysdrums” is now on the babeline. Your answer probably got him in haha
YES, I missed the hat thing on the live video! I love it
Zach sounds like elastigirl but masculine
The O.G "Zach and Kyle are Band Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuds".
Let's get to what's important these days: U pullin' for the Golden Knights, Kyle??
Meantime, really wish Bluecoats would travel west for the Rose Bowl shows... loving DCI in Vegas!
Ha, the Minnesota Wild are my team of course... But yeah I'd love if the Golden Knights won the cup. It's crazy an expansion team is that good
skaynekurtis caps already bringing it in this year, tryna get Ovechkin that cup
Kyle Tsuchiya Go Wild
AYY Twitch made it here sorta! I requested that
I wanted to include the entire (failed) attempt at playing twitch but for some reason my camera has a 30 min record limit! So it stopped recording right before we played twitch and I had to go start it again :(
But thank you for asking us to do that. It was funny
Anyone have sheets for Post Nasal Drip? 😂

Hey Kyle, where can you find the whole hour? I looked on instagram.
What's your favorite kind of sticks to use?
Missed all of this! Would have loved to have been a part of it.
Sorry you missed it! I'll be on IG live again soon I'm sure. But if you have a question for either Zach or I, feel free to ask away!
Hey, I knew you looked familiar. I actually know a guy from Minnesota Brass
Zach was early on the buzz💀
Did you guys hear how in the first few seconds of the video kyle's stomach is rumbling
Little did Kyle and Zach know they both had to learn and play twitch anyways
3:30 lol foreshadowing
Anyone have an idea for the snare drum tuning for bottom and top heads?

I’m a junior in high school... my first year playing snare, and I’m center. I’ve been a percussionist all my life, and pick things up quickly. What do you think my chances are of making the bluecoats even once?
Anyone can make the Bluecoats as long as they practice well and stay hungry enough. It sounds like you're off to a good start!
Whats is that song in the intro?
does anyone know his intro song ? :)
Does Zach ever blink?
Hola?
What pads do you guys use?
Did you figure it out
offworld invader v3
Hella snacks
Is it supposed to be dci or dca cause I heard he said dca
ThienlongGamer RobloxGamer not totally sure what you're asking... but Zach and I have both matched DCI and DCA
Kyle Tsuchiya soo you said dca and I have no clue what dca mean but idk if you meant dci but what is dca
Ohhh I gotcha. DCA stands for Drum Corps Associates. It's a competitive drum corps circuit separate from DCI that is comprised of all-age drum corps primarily in the East Coast
I'm exactly like zach i play an instrument but want to play in a drum line but I'm a HORRIBLE drummer
Trust me... Zach was too hahaha. We all were at one point. But I saw Zach work his butt off for years to get better, and his diligence paid off... I really admire him for that. It's totally possible to make the switch to a drum and get really good at it! But you have to work really really hard like Zach did
