Can you program phone numbers into this so that you know who's calling? Like an address book?

I hope you're not serious. This phone is a POE phone meaning it gets its Power Over Ethernet cable. You will need a phone server for this phone to work it doesn't just connect to a landline like a home phone would.

Joe Young Joe Young when I have it installed at work...it works fine. when I brought it home it doesn't work. not sure what's wrong with it. I have 2 ethernet line coming from the phone. one line goes to my cable modem and the other line goes into my laptop docking station. the docking station and my modem both are plugged in to a power source but my phone is still not turning on.

so then you probably don't have POE at home. Most home routers do not have POE you'll have to buy a POE router or a POE Power injector designed for Avaya phones
