What's awesome is if you done it long enough you can do most of the job without ever touching tape measure, once your initial lines are drawn of course.
How it would go if it were me: marking it the same way, frantically triple checking the marks to make sure its right before cutting the tile, spend 20 minutes cutting the tile, trip over that cord and dropping the tile, do the whole process over again, go to set the tile and its 1/32" too short on the thin side which causes it to break off while setting it, give up and set the tile in 2 separate pieces

Appreciate the effort, but these days we use a jamb saw or a fein tool to undercut the jamb. Not only does it come out flawless, it takes less than half the time.
Constantly having cut of the day challenges with other setters in my family, we will send each other pictures of crazy shit comparing who had the hardest cut that day
Yep this is what us tilers do all day, got to say though to get a strip that small Id have to question the initial setting out, but without seeing it it’s difficult to say what he had to contend with in the other rooms
I can see exactly where this tile is going to break, although satisfying to watch that piece slide right in that thing tile section is likely to break. There is afew reasons first is, that's a doorway which means foot traffic is likely to occur often so that tile will be under stress on a regular basis. This would be fine if the grouting can be done correctly to set the tile perfectly flat. However that's no longer possible for reason two, the outer tiles have already been set, when setting tiles you need to have room to smear the grout underneath to remove the air bubbles and give the tile full surface contact with the grout. This is what the notched trowel is for as it allows you to create groves I. The grout so that when you place the tile you can smear the grout underneath in a motion that removed the air pockets. This will not be possible with how he has cut the tile.

I noticed the cord too. Couldnt hurt to move it over a little so it isnt so large of a hazard to trip over.
will probably break in time anyways if there is uneven support under the tile.
That sounds about right. Ad in a coffee break or two to relax and calm down after it seems like things aren't going perfect.
Whats also impossible: not tripping everytime he passes that chord.😂
