I LOVE that Mattel is giving us full head and tail lights on these special sets. I'll gladly pay a few more dollars for a nicer looking casting, especially now that the ID set is gone.
Yes, I love it too. Just wish it was consistent. The new World Racer set didn’t get this treatment. Nor did that Luxury Sedans set.

This diecast is going crazy in Indonesia 😂. One EF or EG prices were equal to one premium lineups in Indonesian market.

Once i found EG and EF in indomaret, i only took EF. Don't like EG (also, i am not fans of civic) so i left it. After that i contact my friends and say EG is the best one. I regret didn't take it.
because in there average people have Civic car RL, especially the 2018 Civic Type R and the Civic EG. That's why it is going to be crazy wkwkwkwk.
BTW i found 4 of them in Alfamart except the 2018 Civic Type R hehehe gila bet dahh.
@@kucinghoren7864 i'm not sure if EG casting is better than the EF ones. It's always kind of subjective view about casting that you like.
But, EG seems more worthy than EF. Even the detailing is somewhat hit or miss
@@djrevaldo5721 i think it's true, but not every civic owner in Indonesian own the EG civic. Well, mostly they own the sedan version.
So glad I was able to find a couple sets of these. Missed them the first time they were in stock but found them about month later.
I have the white and red type R. Beautiful casting.
6:03 the bases are different, yellow has one rivet post, green has two. The base of the yellow has a tab at the other end that slides into the hatch, acting almost like a license plate
They just swapped the Subaru casting to that too, call it the PMBS - Post in Middle Back Seat -_-

the new EG has post-post casting, while the old EG had post-tab casting. you can check on the new casting, it has 2 rivets
so yeah basically a new model
My first Honda was a 1996 Civic EX Sedan 4Dr. I know those are kind of boring but I’d like to see that model done by HW.

I feel that Mattel and hot wheel listen to me when I did a survey once when I mentioned these more expensive store exclusives should get all details around. Keep up the great design on the cars.
So considering I’m a Honda fan boy at heart and have owned multiple civics of different generations I’ll break it down real quick for you just as some common knowledge. The Ef ran from 88-91 the Eg ran from 92-95 and the Ek ran from 96-00. That Si was only released in 99-00. Also I’m pretty sure that Eg is done in a factory color for that generation as well. I’m a huge fan of the 18 Type R but yes the 14-16 (could be wrong on years) is the red headed step child that no one wants lol but yes the EF is my absolute favorite and other then the red and zamac I have all other variations and that black and red raving one was the casting that got me heavily into collecting. Absolutely love the set as a whole and very happy to add it to my collection. 👍🏻
I got both sets my Walmart put out and saw another collector walking in as I was leaving and made his fuckin day!!

0:46 That Civic Si mold is at least 20 years old. Maybe last year they made few rewrok on it but is basically same mold.
Still have one of the first releases back in 2001-2002. Red colored, white and black graphics on both sides, 5 spoke (double arm) rims in chrome, black hood but no head or tail lights painted. Very very much like this new version, but I think this new one looks greater. The white rims is just perfect on this car.
I'm looking forwars for this set.
Just like the EK9 debut, don't think I'll ever see these hit my local Texas pegs lol. Bought them online 😉

Dang I have been looking for these for a while! I would love to get my hands on the EF, EG & the EK. I might just have to resort to resell prices because I must have them.
That's how it goes with the Hondas it seems lol. Ive never seen the EK in stores to this day, and I hunt regularly

I honestly never thought I'd see this set on the pegs. To my surprise, they've actually shown up several times now. Of course the 3 classic Civics are nowhere to be found, only the '16 and '18 Type-Rs. I gotta say the Civic may be every bit or more popular as the Skyline for hoarders and scalpers, with the exception of the aforementioned late model years. I can remember going all the way back to the EF Civic how damn near impossible those were to find. The EG Civic has been the same story. The debut yellow F&F was hoarded and couldn't be found. The wasted second release in Hello Kitty **facepalm** deco was strangely just as difficult to find and the so-so third release Eibach deco in Walmart exclusive Boulevard never showed up either. The odds are slim that I'll be able to lay my hands on this latest teal version in the Honda set. It looks like I'm just not meant to have this casting in my collection.
I just found two in local store, I feel blessed to found it....

They have a 2007 Honda Civic gift car. Had a plastic base with real riders. It's was a Walmart exclusive gift car set. Have a black 07 on the door and some black Flames.
Will HW ever do a CRV? I’m on my third one now.
This is how they should make boxes.....if anything to make it better is to take one casting and redo it like a stance car or time attack, like a heavy rework like some of the customs seen on RUclips

The first white EF got me started collecting 1/64.
I was surprised when i seen these set just put on the pegs one morning at my walmart, was able to grab a set plus a couple doubles. One being the eg hatch which i was happy to get a couple of considering you don't get them often. The fact that its in the color green its in to makes it an awesome car to get because i love the green that the older civics come in which this is probably as close as your going to get unless you actually go buy some color coded paint and custom paint it haha
Very nice set, but I had to stop collecting. The scalpers are so bad in my area that I couldn't buy Hot Wheels or M2 Machines off the peg anymore. They will actually grab stuff from in front of you, even as you go through the peg. It's no longer worth the aggravation.
finally found some in walmart here in canada, only had the 4th one though, hopefully i can find the other 4 soon

I have the teal color EF. Walmart has been out of virtually everything for weeks now. I only collect Honda hot wheels.
Love it! Definitely must haves in any collection. Hope i find some of these out here in South Africa 🇿🇦 as there are many licensed cars that do show up in shops but in very limited numbers 😞

this evening I was at Wal-Mart.my store I found the 5 cars Honda cars.their was 2 sets.so I only bought 1 set .and left the other set.

most of my collection is mostly clean examples and if I don't feel like waiting for a clean one in a certain color I'll break out the q tips and nail polish remover and make it
Ther is nice clean version of '16 Type-R in black whit red base.
I collect Hot Wheels Hondas so I will have to purchase these on eBay, as most higher end hot wheels do not make it onto the shelves in my area (Maryland).
I bought two sets from my walmart and they do look amazing. However, each was $2.97 a piece which shocked me. JDM cars have become insanely priced even for these basic models no wonder l was able to grab some haha.

FYI at 1:03 that is the Honda Civic SI '00 (or the year 2000) and at 1:26 that is Honda Civic SI '06 (or the year 2006) , also for the premium at 1:52 maybe it is Honda Civic SI '01 (or the year 2001), for the '00 and '01 have difference, it's on the side mirror, the '01 Civic does not have side mirror on it and the '00 civic does.
Honda Civic Si looks nice with the decos. I like the blueish one from 2021, but I might go for this one a little more. Not a fan of the '92 EG, but that is one of my top 3 favorite colors for any car. looks good with white wheels. The Honda I really like is the 2018 Civic Type R. I think Hot Wheels gives it the best tampo schemes in the mainline. Last year's HKS is my favorite and one of my top models of the year. . This new one looks fantastic in that white/blue racing combo. the 16 Type R isn't as nice. Nice race decos tho. Unpopular opinion, but I do not like the '90 EF at all. Too domestic for my taste. I left this set hanging for another Ultra Hots the other day, but I might still wanna get two of these cars. the '18 typr R and the '92 EG if only because of that lovely color it sports. Nice showcase.
I found EG and EF in supermarket but i only take the EF. I regret in next days.
Not sure why, but all stores have in my area are mostly fantasy models of Hot Wheels. I live in Houston area. Is this common I. Other parts of the US?

I guess the condition in the US are still that bad in terms of logistic transport. Usually, my country would have the exact Hot Wheels/Matchbox batch that you have around 3 months (or more) after the video came out. But now, i already have those Civic set for 2 months
