This tune is the Queens equivalent of Jane's Addiction 3 days...Both epic tunes...

I am bringing my own bongo, in case they play this April 8 and 9th. To tell you the truth, they have played this the last 3 times i saw the Queens. I will happily hear The Love is Blood or Somebody's in the Wolf, than this but it is always the best band either way. Maybe I Can't Quit You Baby.

The Blood Is Love has taken a bit of a wave on the QotSA Subreddit... Josh has also said that he's keeping an eye out for signs for requests and they want to do deeper cuts and mess with the setlist more. You just might get what you wish for... I'm rooting for ya

Bring a bongo? It's bad enough when people clap over performers others have come to hear; playing a drum would be extra excessively asshole.

@@JackVermicelli The last "o" was autocorrect. I am bringing my bong. I wouldn't actually bring a drum to a club/arena/stadium show. Maybe an outdoor festival though.

Loads of talent, psychedelics, empathogens, stimulants and depressants.
This song is about drugs "better living through chemistry"
Wish they played this in Torquay, but damn it was the tightest I've seen them play out of some 30 QOTSA gigs in 24yrs. Might be the last peak of the band (at least Josh), but I hold hope that it's not.

@@danielwitham1791 tbf 96% of qotsa songs are about or at least reference drugs

    • @danielwitham1791

@@zeromisery maybe 69%, maybe 97>%. Heck, Make It Wit Chu could be about wanting to make your addiction to meth last a lifetime and Autopilot may be their only love song 🤷‍♂️
QOTSA is 99% inspired by and creatively fueled by drugs. You don't get to that artistic level without mind opening drugs. Especially psychedelics and empathogens. Amphetamine stimulation fuelled Josh Homme for decades and will for years to come. Just not daily, like it did for 20+yrs.
Anyway, back to my bridgesii cactus tar, LSD, 2CE, MDA, 6-APV, opium and canna edibles - post peak high flow state. Time for ketamine and nitrous oxide while listening to Mike Love - Live At Home In Hawaii. Then it's time to write music and fire twirl.
      Just say know to drugs.

Did the band completely take a pass on the backing vocals, or is it just bad (live) mixing?
