You are welcome. It's so inspiring to see you improve your skillset with every new project. By far one of the best model channels on RUclips. Thank you!
Calcium indeed. I didn't hear anything about bicycling although I suppose a lockdown kind of gets in the way of that. Hopefully that will be lifted after the holidays and you can *not* break a leg working all those cookies off. ;>) I'd say the foliage/ground work is your best improvement so far. The composition and layout of the diorama you properly credit to others (the execution is yours alone of course) and we expect you to get a tank right- your figure work has improved by leaps and bounds, but I still think the completely convincing foliage is stunning. Without it the rest would look... weird. Anyway, happy holidays and we'll see you again on the other side.
I wonder what the crew of this Jagdpanther would think about this. Possibly unaware that they were being photographed, a moment in time from 77 years ago recreated in stunning detail like this.
Always sad knowing it’s the time of year when Uncle taking a time out from this amazing channel. All deserved off course :) merry Christmas and happy new year Martin! Can’t wait until 2022 and all your upcoming projects :)
Most modelers are looking forward to some quality bench time during the holidays, and then there's me looking forward to not doing any models for a week :D
For what it's worth, I prefer your videos split up. I like watching them just for entertainment value, but I also use them as a reference. Having a video specifically about making a building or a road makes it easier to come back and refresh my memory!
And now my Friday evening is complete. A couple of beers and another utterly absorbing showcase from Mr. Nightshift are all I need to unwind from another hectic week. Ten out of ten, Martin and many thanks for sharing.
My friend, you have become a premier modelling channel for all of us. The number of other channels I check out that refer to you during their builds as inspiration is growing! Keep them coming. Perhaps a jet or two in 2022????
The levity of the dog(s), the gravity of the warzone; the ugliness of the battered building, the beauty of the plant life; the vulnerability of one cat, the raw power of the other. A wonderful build that you could explore for a long time.
No! Thank YOU, my friend! You have given my hours of Zen-like fascination and relaxation as you showcase your stunning modelling journeys. You have reignited a boyhood passion that I thought was decades dead. Happy Xmas and New year to you.
Thank you, Martin. I think a lot of us have had a tough year, but you, for one, have made it easier for 200,000 people. Just think about that ... until 2022. Best wishes, mah frend, have a good holiday and return with even more, even more amazing builds and dioramas to share with us, your adoring public. Thanks, man. All the best 😊
Here I am, numb at the kitchen table, forgetting all the tasks I have to do, with butterflies in the stomach, impatiently waiting, like a groupy for this video to come out…WTF have you done to me Martin Kovac !😂 But truly, have a wonderful Christmas! 🎄✨🥂
Simply awesome! One thing you might consider adding is a bit of litter. Small pieces of paper or cigarette butts. These are works of art that could be seen in a museum. Keep up the good work!
Night Shift: the man who will take a real rock, put it in his diorama, then repaint it to make it look more like a rock. The detail is so incredible on this model that sometimes one forgets the scale of it, until you see the size of his fingers in comparison and remember that the part which you though was ten centimetres long is actually ten millimetres. An artist at work!
Modelling since I was a kid, with Shep Paine's "How to Build Dioramas" as my bible, it just blows me away that this is the level that modelling has gotten to now, with 4K video so sharp we can see detail that would be harder to view in real life on 1/35 models. Amazing.
That grass made my jaw drop. I've watched diorama videos for a few years now, and I have to say, that is some of the most impressive grass I have seen in ages. Absolutely flabbergasted!
I enjoy your videos, especially the videos on the stone structures and the streets. I am a narrow gauge model railroader and what I model is in the desert Southwest of the U.S. Your methods can be used in model railroading. There were a lot of stone structures as a prevalent and free building material in the SW desert. I have already purchased my large block of HD foam and I got my Proxon cutter and the hand tools. I plan to get some mining town structures going soon. I do hope to see more of your stone and brickwork structure in 2022. I started sharing your channel with my model railroading peers on the forums that I frequent. You may find more of us model railroaders watching your videos. Have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year. Looking forward to see more from you in 2022.
Martin, your inspiration may come from Volker Bembennek & Marijn van Gils, but you are the source of inspiration for many other people. Your modelling videos are by far the best on RUclips.
Wow! I thought i would just check out n see this clip real quick. But this hella catched me. I am so impressed of how much enthusiasm and passion one can put on this. Wow! Not too many people have an eye for the little small things in life.
congrats on 200k, beautiful build man, and are you ever going to make a discord server? it would most likely help a bunch of people, if you would want to I could help, and merry Christmas and a happy new year
I'll be honest, I've watched this 4x. Its like I am watching a masterpiece being put together before my very eyes. My God... You made me want to start making diorama!
Great video thank you. Your scratch builkding scenery is so insipring - your sculpting is incredible to me. I laughed when I saw you using paint brush bristles as grass. When I was a kid I got in trouble for "trimming" mother's broom to make grass for my first few tries at making vignettes for 1/35 figures. In those days (before internet/online shopping) there were esentially no scenics available where I lived, and the only reference materials were a couple of old books in the public library and articles in the back of the Airfix catalogue. We're so lucky now.
When I read "Cats and Dogs" I thought where the M8 "Greyhound" should be placed in the diorama^^ Have a Merry Christmas uncle nightshift and a Happy New Year :)
Hehe, I really managed to not Spoiler me on Patreon! 💪🏻😎 But after a very hard day of work that endet not in the most satisfying way, this kicked me right up, makes my mood go to good level again, so to say. So, I want to wish you a merry Christmas as well, and a good Rutscher (in Germany, we say Guten Rutsch!) into the new year. A hopefully better year, in therms of COVID and your leg. Stay awesome, too! I really enjoyed this year. PS: now I will have to rewatch every post of yours, seems like a promising ting to do on a Saturday evening with a hot cup of tea. Stay safe!
I must thank you again. I have made many dioramas, one of which has exceeded three million views on youtube. But I admit that you made me want to do the dioramas differently. I started by ordering the polystyrene cutting machine. And I'll copy you, at least at the start. I hope you don't mind. Well done, you really are an excellent designer and your videos are particularly well done. Bravo again and a big thank you. I am sure that you will give birth to vocations.
You have no idea how I reacted when you said " This is the last video I'm doing..." Literally my heart sank when you said that... Thank crikey it's only for 2021... Lol... Your work has been a continual source of inspiration for myself... Can't thank you enough for sharing your talent and passion with the world... Now go watch movies, play games and have a couple of well deserved beers Marto...! Merry Christmas and look forward to seeing you in the new year..! Eddy - Australia 🇦🇺👍👍👍
Really great work, with diverse techniques and materials. I've been watching the entire series of videos and I really appreciate your "teacching" skills!
Merry Christmas Martin. Thanks for all you are doing for the modelling community. The world is a better place with you in it. Stay safe but have fun. See you next year ma friend!
Gosh, I nearly blew a few arteries when you announced that this was the last video of yours...until I heard the end of the sentence of course. But seriously, I was frightened. And certainly, this was the most stunning, elaborate and abitious diorama project I have ever witnessed. Have a wonderful christmas, and keep up the good work!🎄

I have been watching your modelling for a while and think that it is exceptional. May I make a suggestion, as an ex Tank driver, that the running gear gets heavily clogged with mud and large stones, these rest on the suspension arms and also all of the top rollers. It also packs up between the road wheels and tracks. This is how tracks are thrown. If you need any pictures message me. Keep up the amazing work.
Dear Uncle Night Shift, Spent the summer here on the rugged, rocky coast of Maine building, modifying and running an RC rock crawler . Now it is December and winter in Maine aint for whiners!! Damn right!
I agree. Every diorama he does just gets better and better.
TRUTH!
Exactly what I thought! :o)

I can't give this diorama enough thumbs up. This diorama is probably the best miniature I have ever seen - and I've seen a lot. So good.
