In MM1 Nintendo did the infinitely _stupid_ thing of just patching glitches, and the problem was that that left many levels literally impossible to be played (just look at how many fossil levels with Phantom Jumps there are in MM1...). Honestly I highly prefer them removing levels in MM2, at least people won't be left playing a level for hours without realizing it is _literally impossible_ to beat it anymore.
