Crazy i did the same exact thingin our foyer. Bought the home about a year ago. I think we have the same builder. Your's is gorgeous. I just used left over stuff from our old house. Until i buy items that i really want. Totally transformed the space and super functional. We have white carpet and i just don't like outside shoes inside. Woderful job!!!

Hey Niky I just want to thank you for your inspiring makeovers 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽. I undertook my biggest project to date and had the confidence preparing the area properly including removing cupboard doors and handles and sanding down, after watching you do a similar makeover on a smaller scale. The end result was stunning and highly complimented by all. I have made minor updates to my hallway and was undecided about changing the doors after finishing such a large project ( as a working mom) but will do so during my next holiday as i find it rewarding and therapeutic .🙌🏽

Thanks! I heard that before and hand sand paper ready just in case, but I didnt need to. It came out super smooth. I think cleaning them first was key.
Hi there, I liked the idea how you did your foayer. Quick question though I didn't see if you used masking tape or not for the floor when you were painting in white under the windows. Did you clean after you're done? If you did what did you use to remove the white paint?
Yes I got a little on the floor 🤦🏾♀️but I used paint thinner to clean it up
loved the door painting demo. I've been delaying painting my kitchen door because paint instructions recommend removing it..well done!
Thanks! Removing a door is a waste of time. 🫣 I didnt use masking tape, but you can tape the hinges to prevent paint from getting on them. Just be sure to clean them! Can’t skip that part!

I am defintely inspired.. my main floor is open concept however... just wondering, I would paint all doors on the main floor black to match right? 🤔 that would have to include the basement door, Pantry door, & back door... did you also paint the doors upstairs or just left them? And would black look as good with chrome finishings? 🤔🤷🏼♀️

No! But maybe in the future! I did paint my fireplace black and I have a black sideboard (literally the same black color) upstairs in the dining room. I love the contrast with the white. Check out that video-its a good one! 😍😍

Thank you! No just in the interior. My exterior shutters are currently dark red color so the black wouldn’t match well. Which is annoying. 😂

Makes total sense! But no, I only did the interior door sides! But I did both sides of the doors for the closet and bathroom.
