While the kit is still eh at best, at least your review did it a bit more justice compared to a certain reviewer who just automatically s***-talked about it.
Ugh.... Don't mention it, the Universal Standard wasn't a solidly-established thing until the All-Gundam project, and that is enough to make a big fuss for a Gunpla built for simulation instead of customization. Yeah, the HG Beginning kits are meh, but not enough to go into a frenzy over
@@TheAshlight41 they aren't wrong, but the only "Universal Standard" established at the time is the peg hip joints. Whinging about infinitesimal issues that they take for granted is not a good direction to judge this kit by
@@mj2005gundam well, They were from beginning expect universal standard from beginning gundam like in the anime but bandai do the otherwise. So, They were disappointed for a reason 👀
Great review, as always! While I'm not really a fan of the kit itself, I do like its unique triple beam saber hand. That said, I don't understand why they molded the hand entirely in clear yellow when they could have just molded it entirely in white and leave the handles with holes for the beam effects. I don't see why adding 3 more beam effects to a kit makes less sense than molding a somewhat detailed (?) part entirely in clear plastic. -_-
Thank you! I don't get it either, of all the parts they can mold the claw hand with, they chose the beams to be the focus... They really could've just given us standard SB-6 beams, 2 sets of them, and a grey hand with the saber hilts for that. Still makes the separate ones moot, but it'd be less of a pain to touch up, even with markers
Odd in its design but it was a neat 30th anniversary celebration kit. I do enjoy all the triangles armor pieces. At least it had a nice showing in the 1st Build fighters. Great reviews 👍
Triangle because it has 3 sides, how on the nose. At least it was a cool plot device for Reiji's character development, that I will never stop admiring
@@mj2005gundam yes indeed this even have an anime unlike the predessesor of all build series the plamo kyoshiro that stuck in Manga people should not forget about the build beginning anime..

It would be a good opportunity to vicariously make a redux review of unit 2, but I'll have to turn that down due to the rarity of the kit, and the massive backlog that I have for videos. Sorry, it's a no for now

"Ahh yes, that gunpla used by Reiji"
Literally how i encountered this kit
I encountered this kit by chance, but then my brother wanted the Beginning J

@@mj2005gundam exactly. things like this makes you wonder how they come up with such decisions in designing a kit 😅😅
Iffy as the kit is, I'd really like to get my hands on one, making your own Beginning variant seems like a fun idea.
In this case, probably go for the Beginning D, as that looks standard enough, and has IFS Units

People forget that this is the one that start the build series.
true!
Because it's Build Fighters that catapulted Gunpla Battle to the limelight

beginning Gundam is one of my favorite designs in the franchise
Too bad the kit is meh honestly
ngl when I was younger and got this kit, I use to have in my head cannon that the triple beamsaber hand was like his final move like the God Gundam
I would've liked that as well, a true Wolverine Gundam the likes of the Tantra Gundam has no way of matching up
What a funny looking kit, didn't even know this existed
Well, not gonna blame you. Beginning G wasn't that popular, and GundamInfo rotated Build Fighters out of their channel.

Yep, the design is still unique, no matter the quality of the kit
cmon bandai, just reprint all the beginning g gunpla. It is very hard to find this kit nowadays aside from high pricing scalpers
Yeah... They haven't done so since 2017. I'm lucky that the people I bought my Beginnings from are still reasonable
Or: The Gunpla that began those shite Gundam Build spin-offs.
Not exactly, but it definitely had a part in pushing that concept to the modern era
That's one fugly design imo. I'm sure some people might like it's uniqueness but I'll stay far away from that thing.
I agree if talking about the kit. I hate how they butchered the face
