    I think we are going to find out that, in the long run, these ridiculous charge speeds will have a negative impact on battery life. The Samsung S23 Ultra fast charge 2 is plenty fast for me. I don't even charge it at night, I wake up in the morning, plug the phone in, get ready for work and it's at 85% (battery protect) by the time I leave the house.

      Nope. I used to think about this a few years ago. My OnePlus 8 lasts me more than a day and it's 3 years old. I will use it for at least one more year. Fast charging and long lasting battery. You think their R and D departments spend so much without thinking about this? Technology is evolving and you can't face the real truth. OnePlus is simply far superior!

    • @Rickarrish
      @Rickarrish Год назад +8

      Heat kills batteries, and while faster charging rates may be synonymous with increased heat production it isn't ubiquitous. Years ago devices would heat up much more than they do today while charging at just 5-10watts. The reason? Well we learn from the past and modern batteries incorporate ever more complex methods of disipating excess heat. You know what makes way more heat and subjects your device to it for longer than fast charging? Wireless charging, its all the heat of a 100 watt charger but but over 3 hours instead of 30 minutes

      @AlphaLinkX Год назад

      The charger is a Qualcomm charger by Anker, you can Qualcomm charger phones (like Samsung, Motorola, HTC, etc) with nearly any cable when it comes to Qualcomm chargers, though the cable life may not last...
      The S23 is only charging at 45W, so it's not a lot of juice. (Now if it was being used by the OnePlus 11 or the OnePlus 10T, that came would severely hold it back...)

    • @osnix0
      @osnix0 Год назад

      @@AlphaLinkX sure you can. But not to compare the max speed. Regarding that, Samsung is special. You need a 5A ( 100w ) cable, and the right 45w charger, one supporting Samsung's PPS requirements. An Anker 313 is fine as an example, however the original Samsung charger is even faster than this one.
      From 1% to 100% my phone charges in 61 minutes with the original Samsung charger.
