Just a couple years ago wife and I were dual income/no kids. Happy, having fun and traveling a lot. Now we have a 2 year old with a 2nd on the way, make way less because wife works part time, and we’ve never been happier. Children are a gift from God. Wouldn’t have it any other way.
What's crushing us it getting over taxed for everything. Taxed when we make money, taxed when we spend money, taxed when we sell. Property taxes keep going up, gas taxes, vehicle registration every year. On and on, the government is anti family for sure. Having a family is expensive, but not for lack of trying.
I get critiqued for getting married at 24, my wife a lovely young at 21, we have two kids, I run my business and she takes care of the kids at home, and we bought a home. Were happy stable and follow christ. I couldnt have it sny better.
Good for you. But that doesn’t work for everybody. I hope you understand that a couple that doesn’t want kids better be taken for their word that they’ll likely make crappy parents. For the sake of their potential future children, everybody is better off if they don’t reproduce.
Nobody should be upset by anyone's choices it's your life. Happy for you, because it's what you want. I'm in my 40s no kids not married I get shit for that...I dgaf, I laugh in freedom
I'm 39 and having my first with my girlfriend next summer :) I find more purpose in my life and feel like I can stop messing around with women and doing debauchery things 😂
I went to college AND I married and had kids. I went in and out of the work force. I was perfectly happy as a stay at home mother and homemaker. Perfect fulfillment. I enjoyed working occasionally but enjoyed my home and family much much more.
@@EmilGhiurau what about if people can’t afford to do that? My household cannot survive without me working and I still take care of the house and cooking so I don’t think you can say all women shouldn’t work during childbearing years. People have to be able to survive.
Patrick, my wife and I are in our fifties with no kids. We did not choose this, and we spent a ton medically for years to try to NOT be childless. Do we have a ton of cash to spend on ourselves? Sure, but it was not what we chose, it is what happened. I think one should be careful when criticizing couples without kids as somehow selfish when for many it was not by choice.
@@DonesdeMotivacionomg that was so insensitive to say to someone. You are actually saying that they’re were still selfish for not adopting a kid. Adopting is not for everyone. I hope this chatter does not even see 7:02
The cost of living has risen drastically in recent history, but wages have remained relatively stagnant. People don't have enough money to raise a bunch of kids.
Change the messaging. How can I afford it... Not I can't afford it. Been guilty of this negative messaging but having kids has been the greatest motivator to my husband to get his shit together and work as the primary provider this year. Still working on figuring it all out together but children change your life for the better.
While on one hand I agree with you. But on the other hand. If you really want kids, you’ll make it work. That’s the difference. You’ll find a way to make it happen. I just think a lot of people are too selfish to make it happen. And it’s not even always in a bad way. They just aren’t willing to make the sacrifices for children. And I don’t think that’s necessarily a bad thing. I just hope that’s really what they want.
@@dianatreptau Nah, my guy. Do not convince people who don't want to have children to have them. That is not wise at all. Children will suffer, and you will be no where to be found when that happens. A regret of someone not having children is better than someone regretting they had them. If people have a choice to wait, let them. And that is coming from someone who's pro-children.
It’s crazy how many things we’re taught about money that just aren’t true. Why isn’t anyone talking about the book The Architect of Riches by Alexander Pierce? It really opens your eyes to a whole new way of thinking about wealth. A lot of successful people mention it!
For those wanting kids but with no success. Please look into EVERYTHING you eat, fast foods are culptirs, but if you look at your foods, the water you drink, and all your habits you will notice a patern. This pattern reduces the fertility rate. Im a 31 year old my wife is 36 and we are havi our first child. This happened after we started informing ourselves about what we eat, she healed from her unhealthy body by the grace of God after a year and now we are reaping what we sowed.
You said one very important thing. "The Grace of God." Although food, drink, lifetstyle, etc. do have an impact, ultimately, it's God's decision. Not ours. I know firsthand that He holds that power.
I’m 31. At my age my dad already was on his fourth, had a house too. The other day my mom asked me if I wanna have any kids in the future and that I’m getting older. I brought up the former above and told her that u like my dad, things are a lot different now than in their time. Mind u, he’s not the hardest of workers and he’s fairly irresponsible with money esp when he has a lot of it. I already have a house, working in getting my dream car and I’m doing quite well for myself. I had to work significantly harder than he did plus get a degree to have these things and yes, I want kids, but not at the moment. That’s what I told her
well... when you are in your death bed, hope you hold thigh to your car and degrees... I was a US Army CPT and I left the service for my kids, I could have decided to be irresponsible but guess wha,t, my house is filled with Joy, Pictures of my family and memories. My degrees, my rank and my personal accomplishments are in a closet, my $70,000 truck in a garage and I sleep with the warmth of my wife, not my truck. Good luck with whatever endeavor you chose.

Becoming the person we needed during tough times is a powerful motivator for both personal and professional development. I wish everyone reading this the best of luck in achieving success!
My husband and I both work, have 2 boys, can’t afford a house, and are struggling just to buy groceries right now. If it were not for my mother-in-law to take care of the kids during the day, there is no way we would be able to afford child care. Point being, we are not in the days where you can get by on just one income anymore (only a very small percentage can), and childcare costs as much as a mortgage payment (our area doesn’t even have a daycare, & the towns around us have waiting lists a mile long). No maternity leave, either, with some women having to return back to work just two weeks later - America is NOT family friendly.
This is the case for the vast majority of Americans, they cannot get by with even two incomes! If wages kept up with inflation and productivity the minimum wage would be $20 federally and other jobs would be paying a lot more. Instead politicians cater to corporations because they are given billions every year.
@adrianemoura8598 he advised ways to save money and not live above your means. Think about all the wasted funds blow away today just to keep up with the jonses
Well the idea is instead of wasting you time in school chasing a career burying your self in debt and racking up a body count you could have stayed a virgin at your highest value when you were in your late teens early twenties and vetted for a man in his thirties who is already established and could have provided you everything you needed and a family but you took the indoctrination of feminism route and wasted your short window of time.
4 kids 15yrs later.. SAHM since our first with my husband as our main source of income equivalent to 3 incomes . A lot of people see children as burden but honestly our lives became better, more blessed and more fulfilled since our first born child. No greater source of joy and wealth than seeing the growth of your children. I will forever be thankful for having a husband who allows me to raise our children. Nothing could ever compare to the joy of being a parent.
My husband and I have 2 children, and I am a stay at home mom. My husband and I both prefer this. It isn't easy, and we do not use government assistance. We make it work. At least we don't have someone else raising our children.
You should never be ashamed to take government help, as long as you meet the requirements. After all they are entitlements by the government for the citizens.
So awesome aslong as it works. Me and my wife are lucky my mom babysits our kids while we work in the mornings either way kids are worth it in my opinion
He said $700 car payment and 600k house like they were discounts!😂 Love this show and gaining wisdom from the older generation, but sometimes they are wayyyy out of touch. Have two kids in my 30s and we pay $2200 for our basic tier daycare alone. We would need to live in a studio apt. in the hood and sell our 2018 Camry if wife quit her job. It is no longer the 90s people.
I wonder why there is no comments under your response. Very telling about these people. Sometimes I really think they don’t leave in the same planet as us.
I don't think people who wants to be child free, for whatever reason, should be pressured to have them. Children are the one who will suffer the consequences.
“Why should I have kids? When they’re teenagers, they’ll talk back to me. I’ll have sleepless nights, spend a fortune on their college education, and after they get married, they’ll only call me on Father’s Day. When I’m old, they might put me in a nursing home that I’ll have to pay for myself. Instead, I’d rather retire alone at 35, enjoy life on my own terms, and live healthily with fully functioning bones until I peacefully pass away at 70.
Why should I have kids? … because it will give you hope for the future. Anyone has sleepless nights. But the hardest ones are birth in loneliness. If you give your self to your child they might have a better future than yours. college doesn’t matter but life skills and morals do. After they get married they might filled your home with grandchildren who will carried your DNA , love, kisses and laughter. As a parent make a loving home for your children and their heart will stay with you whether you are in a nursing home or not. Your heart will be full … by the way all of us will die alone and will never know the age of our death. If you think this is crazy start asking questions to your creator he will show you the way.

You got it completely wrong: the lower income class you talk about in shithole countries isn't the one that's not having the kids it's the upper bracket that's why birth rate in the west is crap. I'm also from a shithole country btw. A loser is a loser whether in poor country or rich and will always avoid having a family.
This data is all wrong. People are still having kids. The only difference is the people in low income communities are the only ones having kids. They’re having the most kids at a very young age. They end up having up to 5 kids by their late 20s. Most end up fatherless. The higher income communities are having less kids because they understand the responsibility and the cost behind having kids. Some end up having no kids but let’s not say that people today aren’t having kids.
@Sombralocs… and the two incom families and everyone else are paying for all the bullshit social welfare programs to irresponsible people who don’t work but shoot out kids like bullets. Tires of paying for dead weight that doesn’t contribute anything
I think they measure it based on the average age of the population. An aging population is often tied to birth rates and is seen as problematic because it effects economic output and lowers GDP. It´s why China got rid of their one child policy
DINK here, but not by choice. My wife and I have been trying for the last 10 years with no success. Used all of the fertility options short of IVF (wife needed a break because her mental health was suffering so badly by that point). Believe me, we'd much rather have less money and kids if it were up to us.
You can always choose to foster or adopt. I highly recommend it as someone with cousins who couldn't have kids. They have long term fosters and eventually adopted one of them
There is nothing wrong with either choice. Choosing to have kids is the biggest forever life changing decision and not everyone wants or is cut out for it. Others want, have, and excel at it. It’s a very personal decision that should be given the most serious thought before doing. The world and society we live in today is nothing like it was years, even decades ago, so I can understand why many people and couples today are choosing to be child free by choice and DINKS. Even PBD mentions it, but in the early 70s, they had a rural purge on TV. So the mainstream media culled all rural programming for urban contemporary that fits more inline with what was happening. It was a lockstep. The programming wasn't cut because it had bad ratings. It was cut for cultural reasons.

God calls us to be wise, to even pray for wisdom. For some people it's not wise to have children that they can't afford. Affordability is also relative because what we deem best is not the same. You chose a life of pleasure and ease over sacrifice, which yields it's own negative consequences at the end. Do not think for a moment, you are better off than those who chose a life of sacrifice, for momentary pain and agony, they will achieve eternal bliss and rest in the next life. "Those who live only for pleasure are like a tree without fruit. They may flourish for a time, but their end will be destruction. The pleasures of this life pass away, but the soul that seeks them will be condemned." (St. John Chrysostom) This passage reflects Chrysostom’s view that a life devoted to fleeting pleasures ultimately leads to spiritual emptiness and separation from God. "The man who seeks only bodily pleasure and wealth is like a man who digs a pit for himself. He piles up his riches, but he will not escape the fire that will consume him." Chrysostom warns of the futility of pursuing material wealth and bodily pleasure, as it will ultimately lead to eternal destruction in the afterlife. "Those who indulge in luxuries and seek the pleasures of the flesh are blind to the things that truly matter, and thus they fail to prepare their souls for eternal life. Such a person will face the judgment of God and fall into eternal damnation." In this statement, Chrysostom emphasizes that living in excess blinds the individual to the importance of spiritual matters, leading to eternal consequences.
USA- no maternity leave, high student loans, no universal healthcare, high childcare costs, rising cost of living and house prices - why are people not having kids ?
Day care costs are extremely high. I truly don’t know how people do it. Right after my husband retired from the USAF - we had our nieces twins for several months- they were under 18 months old. When I checked into daycare for them it was going to be about $2,000 per month & that was in 1993. I told my husband - I guess you are staying home to care for them. I was working full time & my husband hadn’t yet found a job after retiring.
My mother had 9 children, was a rice picker, and then made a business for herself while working 2-3 jobs. They've been together for 53 years and counting and says she's the richest woman on earth. Both of them reaping the benefits of having a big family and many grandchildren. If they can do it, you can do it too.
60F/73M dinks. I decided not to have children when it was almost frowned upon. Father alcoholic/Mother mentally ill. I was not willing to pass the genes on, seriously messed up childhood. I went low/no-contact at 20 for about 15 years just to settle my mind and life. Some people, even though they would want children, know it isn't right for them. I don't regret my life and couldn't imagine it any differently now.
My parents are the same as as you. All their friends who did what you did are millionaires many times over and are cool..most boomers who had kids are self absorbed pricks.
Same as you brother I always find it amazing that people who see kids as a retirement plan and having someone to take care of them when they get old, see those that chose not to brink kids into this HELLSCAPE of a world as SELFISH! SMH. Btw if that was a sure fire thing NURSING HOMES wouldn't exist. You think having self absorbed gen z ers or post mellenials are gonna take care of you when you get old? HA. Here's what Jesus Said: " And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! " Why Jesus? "For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud,Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away." 2 Timothy 3:2 Wow Jesus your right thats exactly what i see on youtube, tic toc and every where else i look. PBD your missing the point of having children: they are to Glorify God, to point people to HIM. Not to just fulfill some societal Norm, brag to your neighbors about or as a retirement plan. They are to be weopons in the hands of the righteous against the kingdom of darkness.Psam 127:3-5 Unfortunately the world has reached such a level of corruption that to raise kids that will actually love God and be SAVED is ALMOST impossible while having to work. Not to mention even if you manage to raise them "by the book(bible)" you wont be able to insulate them from the influences of social Media and videogames and movies and a love for pleasure that are DESIGNED to alienate their minds from God. When you send them to school and especially church and they come into contact with other kids who's families aren't as intentional. Go to any church see how many kid are playing videogames in the pews or outside playing or are even There. Many are leaving because their minds are so exited by the ARTIFICIAL that they can't enjoy things that are REAL and they have to THINK about. How do you raise kids that will be SAVED in this environment? And if they wont be saved then what am i having kids for? To build the ranks of the DEVIL? Ill PASS. I pray you read this PBD because this problem is so much more complex then the business like approach you take to it. God Bless you and your family.
People start living together and become accustomed to a dink lifestyle especially in hcol places. It’s hard to then shift to a lifestyle with kids when rents are sky high and people still want to live in nice buildings and go on international vacations.
I'll never understand the constant pressure for people to have kids. Like it or not, finances are very important in ensuring a child's welfare. Having kids just for the sake of "making your life fuller, etc," when you know very well that you aren't in a good position to be bringing someone in this world just makes zero sense. Also, having kids out of marriage isn't and shouldn't be an option either. So if yall can afford them, mentally, emotionally, financially, then go ahead. But not everyone is in a position to do so.
These privileged people are too obsessed with pressuring every woman to birth children instead of fixing most problems that are causing people not want to have kids. It's so selfish to me to have kids cause "there's no greater accomplishment than being a parent, kids make your life full, exempt you from loneliness, etc." Like, let's fix the core issues first. Issues surrounding brocken relationships, the economy, livelihoods, etc, instead of bringing children that are bound to unnecessarily suffer in this world.

Love your work, PBD. Having kids motivated me to find a way. It made me realise how I didn't need the luxuries I used as a crutch to make me happy. Do i miss it? Somewhat. Would I change it? No
Family and kids are awesome. I think the challenge is both finance and endless chores. When only husband work, wife usually take care of a lot of things at home. However when both work, husband needs to share a fair amount of chores to make it work. A major reason for DINK is that they don't want those chores associated with the parenting role.
I agree with the husband working outside of the home, and the wife taking care of the children and chores at home (provided if she is a stay at home wife), but obviously the man should help with the chores from time to time when it's too excessive for the wife at times or hire a maid to help, or help with cooking. But some people are unrealistic, when they expect the man to do almost everything at home after coming from a 8-14 hour shift at work. The man should also take the time to spiritually lead the household, and manage the household. He also can take the kids out for a few hours, when he comes from work, and allow his wife time to rest or take a nap.
Your saying in the span of 7 years, from the start of 18. You found a job(that pays very well fresh out of high school), bought a house, paid off that house(most mortage loans are 15-30 years), bought a car, paid off that car, found a wife(ring, wedding, expenses). While doing all of that, support and have twins? I'm calling cap sir.

You can't really balance it out. Don't know if you're a Christian, but even in the Christian narrative, Christ had to forsake his wealthy kingdom, to go down to earth and live a lowly life to serve and help others, forgoing his wealth and riches in His eternal kingdom. Becoming successful is something that is largely arbitrary, and it can take till your 40's or 50's. The purpose of life, was always, to sacrifice yourself for the sake of your children or future generations. Or in other words, not being able to sit in the shade you planted, but being perfectly content in future generations being able to do so. This isn't some theory, but reality for previous generations. People faked their ages, many being 18 or 19, fighting off Nazi Germany, at risk to themselves but had no regard for death, because the ideal of protecting their family and the world from being conquered by Hitler, was worth it. It is sad to see, that we have abandoned those ideals, seeing them as 'old-fashioned' and have in it's place adopted individualism, which essentially says, 'I live for what benefits me or myself.' In the process, we've created a society that avoids sacrifice, that does not directly benefit them.
Another great video. I felt it was better to find the right woman to make a life with than start pumping out kids because that is what is expected. Traveled, partied, played ball, and worked. I rented a room for over ten years. Saved and invested my money. Found the right woman at 52 and got married. Although she wanted kids, I explained that I was not interested in having kids at my age. We have many nieces and nephews that we can enjoy and spoil. Looking back, had I met this woman 30 years ago, it would have been a different story. Thank you PBD.
Never made as much money before I had my first child at 30. My wife and I were living the life in NYC but our spending habit was crazy and didn’t really have a long term focus. Now we own a business, involve our 3 children in what we do as much as possible and have cut a lot of BS spending. We don’t own the latest fancy EV car or haven’t upgraded our house during COVID…but we live the life.
As a mother I will not trade anything in this world for my kids I have no idea how people do it without kids life is empty without them and people will not realise this until it’s to late. My regrets that’s I didn’t have more kids when I had the chance. Kids are God’s gift and he will provide for people who trust him 🙏🏻
@@Asheli2001 people have their own ideas of what’s right and wrong. I have seen many parents who teach kids one thing and they do something else. Also, your family values may not align with someone else values so I guess you have kids only because you need people around you at all times but not because you want to give them love, if they don’t show up all the time I bet you are one of those people who will make them feel guilty about it. If you raised your children right they will show up on their own and not because of guilt.
I had my kid late but so glad I had at least one kid at older age, wanted more but wife couldn't have more. I thank my wife all the time for changing my mind, her wanting kid when I was 35 years old. It was good not having any kid when you are younger than 40 but when you reach 45, there is nothing but emptiness out in the world, you travel all round the world and chasing career but nothing but emptiness. Having family is everything when you are older. it's an investment that you don't think about when you are in your 30s.
WE have 3kids on 1 income. MARRIED IN 1962 while in the service-Discharged 3 months later, 1ST kid 1963 THEN bought a small ranch home with small down payment saved while in the USAF. Had 2 more kids after and when I got out of the service put in for a lot of different JOBS-took about 2 months and landed a job in the P.O.MY wife stayed home and took care of the children IT wasn't too bad at first but it got difficult after when most families had two incomes we didn't have the income to keep up with the JONES/ ha-ha, Maybe if I didn't join the service at 17yrs. old I could have gotten work to prepare for a family? Who knows but at 85 my wife and I are grateful to GOD for looking after us. RICHARD.
With kids I doubt if they get to keep anything. I've literally survived with nothing for myself since having a child. Often I feed them and don't even bother with myself.
I was married , no kids. Now I quit my job and about to travel the world. Best decision! Marriage is an old tradition. New dream is to do what you want whenever you want. A mortgage will only tie you down to work for the next 30 years.
The purpose of marriage was to provide a stable environment for children and support community. Every culture viewed marriage with spiritual dimension too. People who see marriage as being based solely on feelings are more likely to devalue it. The “New Dream” is a false narrative devised by postmodernism and businesses who exploit the most visceral human desire - the desire to maximize pleasure and avoid discomfort. The “whatever whenever however” outlook confuses freedom with license. It also promotes automized individualism. Hence the correlation between the decrease of marriage and children with the rise of unprecedented loneliness and alienation. We lie and say freedom is forsaking virtue and responsibility to others. Humans need meaning, purpose, and connection. All come from commitment to others and creating something of value beyond ourselves. While there may be few outliers, for the vast majority of people, it stems from traditional marriage and family - that is, fulfilling our very existential imperative as a species. It’s fine to travel the world. Have fun and be safe. Although I’d wager that those who have a constant visceral urge to travel (while not building anything) are spiritually restless. Travel has become a popular way to re-capture a sense of wonder, enchantment, and adventure rare in a materialist pragmatic modern world. That’s fine, but too much becomes running away from something.
I never wanted kids so I have never had kids. It wouldn’t be fair to a kid. Met a girl that can’t have kids(cancer). Been married for 13 years and we live in the Florida Keys. I turn 46 in January.
@ Exactly! We are kindred spirits. I’m a proud keys weed smoker, wake and bake. I went pro about 5 years ago when I stopped having to work. 😝 I’m on long key
I didn’t want kids my whole life because I lived in trauma and was surrounded by terrible people. I cut so many toxic people, including my mom and have such amazing people in my life. I’m 30 and my boyfriend is 28 with amazing family and upbringing, we consistently talk about our values, getting married, and having kids and it’s all because I worked hard on myself and healed. I stopped caring about the world and found the root of what actually makes me happy and that I have broken the generational curses. I can’t wait to have my own family one day and look forward to things I could never imagine. The world needs healing, especially America but these laws continue to tear us and the American dream apart which causes generational curses that are almost impossible to break free from.
My wife and I have 3 kids. We both knew it would be a struggle getting kids raised and putting her through school and it was. We leaned on family and friends a lot to survive wile taking on debt. But I knew that her becoming a Nurse would mean of if I dropped dead or she wants to leave me she and my kids will be ok. She will not have to start looking for a new person and have money be a deciding factor in who she chooses if it came to that. That must be a scary factor this day and age and wanted her to have the power to choose not settle. Also she is smarter than me and loves our kids. This day and age the choice is between self or future. The future is the hard road but leaves a legacy and road for others to strive towards.
false way of thinking. I used to think that way at 35 years old at the top of my career. You will never be ready, just have to have leap of faith and have at least one. Don't over think it. worth it in the end, at least for me.
I definitely want to have kids soon, but the DINK life is great. My wife and I bring in 400k, we have a super cool apartment, get to travel a lot, fly first/business everywhere, we buy each other expensive gifts. Having kids will change our lifestyle, especially since my wife wants to stay home when we have kids.
It will be worth making the transition to family life. Challenges and struggles, yes, but the long term rewards can not be achieved through any other means intangible as they may be. Go for it!
I have 2 kids. One girl & one boy. They both learn Piano, girl learns dance, boy learns Martial arts. These alone cost 500$ per month. Now both of them wants to also try one sports each (tennis for girl and soccer for boy). That would add another 300$ minimum. So around 800$ per month just for managing some common extra curricular activities. For now we are not sending them to sports activities because that is too much for us to afford. Schools do not offer these two sports. We can’t manage it with single income. Dual income is needed. Luckily we both are employed. Mortgage & property tax, HOA & home insurance is 2.2K for the cookie cutter home in a decent suburb of Indiana. Car payment & insurance is 400$. Utilities cost around 300$. Mobile & internet around 100$. The above total to 3.5K without considering food & clothes. A family of 4 - food, clothes, shoes, laundry detergent, dish soap wtc - minimum 1000$ a month. 4.5K minimum with no movies, no road trips etc. Basically you need 4500$ take away income per month for a family of 4 to live pay check to pay check. A medical bill, an unplanned expense, a birthday party & your retirement planning etc - you need extra. America is not family friendly for most middle class or lower middle class families. Some are lucky that they inherit some properties and don’t have to pay for mortgage. Most legal immigrants - both husband and wife will have to work for giving a reasonably good life for their kids. This is the story of most of the young people in USA.
The story in the Western world you have described there. Every cost you have described there is pretty reasonable nothing lavish and still look at the cost it's wild!
I'm retired at 37, went from Grass to Grace. This video here reminds me of my transformation from a nobody to good home, honest wife, $35k biweekly and a good daughter full of love ❤️
I raised 75k and Maria Luisa Clare is to be thanked. I got my self my dream car 🚗 just last weekend, My journey with her started after my best friend came back from New York and saw me suffering in dept then told me about her and how to change my life through her. Maria L. Clare is the kind of person one needs in his or her life! I got a home, a good wife, and a beautiful daughter. Note!:: this is not a promotion but me trying to make a point that no matter what happens, always have faith and keep living!!
US Army CPT with a Masters Degree here. My rank and my Diploma are in a closet, my truck in a garage and my house full of pictures of my family, joy and memories. Good luck
Life is getting more and more expensive especially in the US. The husband used to be able to support a family of 2 or 3 kids on one income. People can work in grocery stores and be able to afford to buy a home. I can see why some couples do not want kids or only have 1 child. Also caring for parents come into the picture as some people don't have enough retirement to live in.
My business allowed me to have my wife be a SAHM for our child. I needed to make 225k in profit plus my 75k salary for my remote job in order to do it. She made 95k/yr. It's still a solid drop, but with childcare at $2,400/mo and less stress for her. It's worth it.
My wife has always stayed home and raised our only kid who is homeschooled. I have always been the income provider and have worked road construction and truck driving. We are debt free and just paid cash for our second home. It hasn't been easy at times. We don't go on vacations or indulge in going out to eat. I will be retired by 45 years old and we can then go on all the vacations we want. I don't go to church but I do talk to god every single day and our relationship is stronger than ever. 🙏🏼
@@OceanFrontVilla3 we all pay taxes. The younger generation will take care of the older generation regardless if you have kids or not. This is the way society works. This is the way society has to work.
Been married 41 years. I was 18, my husband was 23. We have 2 wonderful children. My husband served 30 years in the Marines and 20 as a defense contractor. Due to the constant relocating, I was mostly a stay-at-home-mom, and I loved it. We are now retired, living in Hawaii and loving life.
I have kids, no income.... I dont wish anybody what my kids and i have to go through now. Its first time in our life we dont celebrate Christmas as homeless.
You should continue to explore the decline of the family. The big issue most don’t talk about is how to meet a partner. Relationships don’t work out for a myriad of reasons. Single women though have to work to pay the bills. Divorce is devastating to all involved. Bringing a child into a fatherless home isn’t the answer. We need to solve being in a monogamous relationship with a partner as this brings a more prosperous society.
It’s not simply a choice not to have children. For the past 15 years, I’ve done everything I could to find the right partner, get married, and have children. However, I would never have children without marriage and financial security. Why is it that women who want children can’t have? figuring this out is key.
Making 9k less but having no kids is still making more money. Kids are very expensive these days. I don’t think lower birth rates are as big of a deal. It’s only for govt to keep getting more taxes and businesses like Walmart, UHC, Apple, etc to make more money: more people = more rich the govt and corporations get. 1.7 is still about even population. It’s fine. If you don’t want kids or don’t know if you can afford it correctly - don’t have them. Poor situations cause the highest crime, worst situations for children, and statistically isn’t the same opportunities as richer parents. It’s not like population is collapsing here. At all. It’s just not growing like the crazy mid 1900’s
Lol you don’t get it. The ideas of capitalism, and socialism are both hinged on the idea. That the population is going to continue to grow. That there will be more workers/consumers. The US demographics are the best in the world. But, look at Asia and Europe it’s far worse
I hate the narrative that kids are expensive cuz there not and i have a newborn almost toddler and expecting a newborn, its not that expensive, especially if u breastfeed, u can buy clothes from thrifts stores or friends and family can give u some if they have any, its not expensive
My girlfriend & I been together going on 5 years next month. She just turned 23 she makes annually 75k as a nurse. And I’m also 23 and in my 9 to 5 I make 80k annually as a field engineer. And I’m averaging around 35-40k extra on the side from my side business ventures. We have no kids and it feels like we’re rich lowkey because we have barely any bills. But I just know there is always a next level so I will keep climbing 🙏🏾 I came here from the Bahamas at 14 with no parents so this income at 23 is a blessing 🙏🏾God is so awesome it’s crazy how far faith & hard work can take you.
💛If an American wife cooked breakfast, packed her husband's lunch, & had dinner on the table... there would be No Such Thing as fast food. It wouldn't be able to succeed. Now... the men are sticks, women are round, & an average American couple looks like "the number 10" 🔥💯💛

And we get next to nothing for any of it
Even in death they tax you ,they tax you on everything and still are trillions in debt ,pure gangsters
Imagine how many times the same dollar is taxed as it passes hands
Plus Insurance for everything and it doesn't even pay out when you actually need to use it. What's the point? Money, Money, Mmmoney MONEY 🎶
Yep, another wealthy person lecturing the not wealthy about having kids
I get critiqued for getting married at 24, my wife a lovely young at 21, we have two kids, I run my business and she takes care of the kids at home, and we bought a home. Were happy stable and follow christ. I couldnt have it sny better.
Yayyy so proud of you. Keyword: we follow Christ. That's what the US is missing. More Christ. Less stress. Be blessed and have a Merry CHRISTmas!!❤
Good for you. But that doesn’t work for everybody. I hope you understand that a couple that doesn’t want kids better be taken for their word that they’ll likely make crappy parents. For the sake of their potential future children, everybody is better off if they don’t reproduce.
Good on you both. Those that center their marriage on God are 40% less likely to divorce.

I went to college AND I married and had kids. I went in and out of the work force. I was perfectly happy as a stay at home mother and homemaker. Perfect fulfillment. I enjoyed working occasionally but enjoyed my home and family much much more.
We should not have women work during the childbearing stages. If she wants to go in and out work force then yes, let that be.
I don’t think he’s talking about the exception.
Even if its not by choice, its that couples choice and business.

@@dianatreptau sure do right on! My wife an I have two we struggled but it's gotten better gotta have faith an keep pushing
Exactly
A lot of successful people mention it!
thanks
Interesting, I have never heard of this book
For those wanting kids but with no success.
Please look into EVERYTHING you eat, fast foods are culptirs, but if you look at your foods, the water you drink, and all your habits you will notice a patern.
This pattern reduces the fertility rate.
Im a 31 year old my wife is 36 and we are havi our first child. This happened after we started informing ourselves about what we eat, she healed from her unhealthy body by the grace of God after a year and now we are reaping what we sowed.
Also alcohol intake affects sperm count.

No maternity leave, either, with some women having to return back to work just two weeks later - America is NOT family friendly.
he is a effin millionaire who lives in a bubble with ten kids.
I find that usually those that advocate for having kids tend to be well off and are detached from the REALITY of most people.

Harden up and raise your kids right sweet heart.

There is nothing wrong with either choice. Choosing to have kids is the biggest forever life changing decision and not everyone wants or is cut out for it. Others want, have, and excel at it. It’s a very personal decision that should be given the most serious thought before doing.
John Chrysostom)
This passage reflects Chrysostom’s view that a life devoted to fleeting pleasures ultimately leads to spiritual emptiness and separation from God.
"The man who seeks only bodily pleasure and wealth is like a man who digs a pit for himself. He piles up his riches, but he will not escape the fire that will consume him."
Chrysostom warns of the futility of pursuing material wealth and bodily pleasure, as it will ultimately lead to eternal destruction in the afterlife.
"Those who indulge in luxuries and seek the pleasures of the flesh are blind to the things that truly matter, and thus they fail to prepare their souls for eternal life. Such a person will face the judgment of God and fall into eternal damnation."
In this statement, Chrysostom emphasizes that living in excess blinds the individual to the importance of spiritual matters, leading to eternal consequences.

They were caregiver, babysitter, janitor, waitress, and made their own caregiving business. Just some thoughts on how to initiate.

It's a matter of priorities.. fancy cars and vacations or the unparalleled fulfillment of children and family.
Hahah your wayyyy out of touch.
This. People are too emotional.

4:09 I think there should be a balance between fulfilling your dreams and becoming successful as well as having children and husband

It’s not about who makes more it’s about who keeps more
The ladies!
Yup
I never wanted kids so I have never had kids. It wouldn’t be fair to a kid. Met a girl that can’t have kids(cancer). Been married for 13 years and we live in the Florida Keys. I turn 46 in January.
As a keys weed grower, you can only afford the keys because you dont have kids 😅
Single income, 5 kids. It's been pretty tough lately, financially speaking.
Value = Low
Entertainment = Indirectly flaunting your wealth in your supporters faces
Houses cost half a million dollars. Why would we start a family if we don't feel financially secure
false way of thinking.
Being a parent is the best experience of life. You do sacrifice for that, but I have no regrets for the sacrifices.
It will be worth making the transition to family life.
Challenges and struggles, yes, but the long term rewards can not be achieved through any other means intangible as they may be.
Go for it!
Hopefully your wife can go self employed and develop a side hustle to keep some money coming in.
I'm highly inspired.
Please spill some sugar about the bi-weekly stuff you mentioned.
Wow 😱 I know her too
Miss Maria Luisa Clare is a remarkable individual whom has brought immense positivity and inspiration into my life.
I started with a miserly $1500. The results have been mind blowing I must say TBH!
How can someone get connection to that Woman y'all speaking bout !!!?
US Army CPT with a Masters Degree here. My rank and my Diploma are in a closet, my truck in a garage and my house full of pictures of my family, joy and memories. Good luck
Life is getting more and more expensive especially in the US. The husband used to be able to support a family of 2 or 3 kids on one income. People can work in grocery stores and be able to afford to buy a home. I can see why some couples do not want kids or only have 1 child. Also caring for parents come into the picture as some people don't have enough retirement to live in.
Yep I have one child myself ain't no way in hell am I having another one lol
My business allowed me to have my wife be a SAHM for our child. I needed to make 225k in profit plus my 75k salary for my remote job in order to do it. She made 95k/yr. It's still a solid drop, but with childcare at $2,400/mo and less stress for her. It's worth it.
I’m a proud parent and I educate my child on family values
My wife has always stayed home and raised our only kid who is homeschooled. I have always been the income provider and have worked road construction and truck driving. We are debt free and just paid cash for our second home. It hasn't been easy at times. We don't go on vacations or indulge in going out to eat. I will be retired by 45 years old and we can then go on all the vacations we want. I don't go to church but I do talk to god every single day and our relationship is stronger than ever. 🙏🏼
Most people are having their 1st child by 45
U GUYS ABSOLUTELY NAILED IT FROM START TO FINISH ! WOW !! THANK U FOR SPEAKING FOR THE PEOPLE THAT HAVE NO VOICE !! 🙏🏻💪🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
DINK and by choice. I respect your freedom to choose having kids, please respect mine for not having any.
Exactly! 🙌🏼 It’s always society and the people with kids pushing their beliefs on others. I never hear it the other way.
@@lily_uzunova same with religious people. i am so sick of it.
Don't expect my children and grandchildren to provide your care in your old age. You can go wander into the forest like the elderly indigenous did.
Amen, I'm good. All i hear is that I'm scared of responsibility, blah blah. But then turn around and envy me wishing they could do it all over again.
We are a single income 1 kid household
Same here
Single Income two kids
You should continue to explore the decline of the family. The big issue most don’t talk about is how to meet a partner. Relationships don’t work out for a myriad of reasons. Single women though have to work to pay the bills. Divorce is devastating to all involved. Bringing a child into a fatherless home isn’t the answer. We need to solve being in a monogamous relationship with a partner as this brings a more prosperous society.
PBD always putting out content that represents the current problems. Gotta love it and his grind!
Its Dual not Duel. A duel is a fight
@Strawberrymerit you can't breast feed forever
I'm doing my part. At 49 I met a 28 year old single never married college woman and started to repopulate this planet.
I think a simple chart of wage growth vs asset prices would explain why more people aren’t having kids.
No, lol.
you described the average bertha and tyrone case... which is common now but not even close to typical.
Tyrone & BigBertha is not the american average 😂
There are still some of out here. I've been making every meal my husband eats for the past 19 years of our marriage, being a homemaker. We go out to eat on vacation only.
Kids motivate you to make more.
And the more kids you have, the richer you become.
Says the person with no ovaries so much easier to put a baby in somebody instead of carrying it yourself do you want a baby so bad have the doctors bioengineer you a uterus and carry it yourself
Then have 100 kids
Exactly it's very bad logic!!
😂 right
