Blaster Factory Han Solo ANH DL-44 “Hero” Blaster Prop Replica (Denix build)

This is my Denix Blaster Factory Han Solo DL-44 ANH “Hero” Blaster prop build! It took 16 hours of branding, sanding, filing and polishing to prep the blaster before bluing. It took about 3 hours total to apply the Birchwood Casey Aluminum Black to finish it off. For my first build I’m pretty happy!

Looks like we have a lot in common! I just got back from a road trip out west. Went to several national parks. Like EVH! Like SW replicas! Like remote planes! I am currently building a DL-44 from a he blaster factory as you did!

Hi. Great work by the way. I have one of these and j need to blue it like you did. Can you advise which product you used? Was it normal bluing agent for steel?

Hi Pete! Thanks for the compliment! I used Birchwood Casey Aluminum Black to blue the gun. Just know that it takes several applications to get it darkened to your liking, especially on the flash hider. I found that piece to be the most difficult to get to darken, but it will darken a little at a time while you apply each application. I hope this helps!
