When Ted finally recounts the story of his father's suicide, and I watched that scene for the first time, my life changed. My father, too, committed suicide when I was 16 years old; and this show finally helped me come to terms with the anger towards my father I had been burying for decades.
The Morning after mom left with this Rayder's song. Fuck this song scratch deep.
The best lesson I’ve learned from this show can be summed up in a simple quote: 'Be curious, not judgmental'-absolutely refreshing.
Barbecue sauce.
Be curious and compassionate; most importantly, to yourself.
barbecue sauce!
This is definitely one of my comfort shows. Ted's optimism really rubs off on me, and it always makes me feel better after a rubbish day.
Same.
Amen ❤
My dad died June 2023. He loved this show, and the day before he died we showed him the best parts of the final episode. We laughed and cried in equal measure.
Sorry for your loss mate glad you can find some happiness in this show for the memory
As someone who doesn't have a very good relationship with their father, the Roy hugging Jamie moment utterly broke me.
The writing and acting is just so raw and pure that it will stay with me for the rest of my life.
I started to watch this series in hardest year of my life 2023. My family was breaking apart and this show kept me believing in the light at the end of the tunnel.
That’s really touching to hear. Ted Lasso has such a hopeful message! It’s amazing how a show can provide comfort during tough times. What’s been your favorite moment that lifted your spirits?
@@MsMojo hard to pick I’ve had marital problems and father problems as well. I guess Sam being comforted by his father was my favorite cause it’s someone I want to be to my own son.
It speaks to the absolute power of this show that therapy, friends, meditation, grief groups cannot heal us the same way as crying to this show🥺
Mine was in the last episode. When the team does the So Long Farewell song, and Ted says "Thank you boys...that was PERFECT." And the real kicker: EVERYONE, including the spectators, goes absolutely bonkers, like they just won the title. It was so glorious that I'm tearing up right now typing this.
Phil Dunster’s acting is really brilliant in that hug scene. As Roy walks towards him, he flinches away before he realizes what Roy’s doing. That’s a classic abused child response. 😢
Jamie’s growth is one of the best I have seen on TV, tearing up and its just a top 20 vid, I think I need to rewatch the show😂
Literally, every single one of them and dozens more! I am not an outwardly emotional guy. I didn't cry at my wedding or the birth of my kids or my dad's death, but this show...? I have never cried more from any other program, let alone a sitcom! It is writing and performance Nirvana.
Not sure if people noticed - but the episode where Rebecca goes to the psychic she discusses the Japanese pottery art where they repair broken porcelain with gold, essentially being a metaphor that something that’s broken then repaired can be more beautiful than the original.
The final episode of season 3 where the team holding onto the broken pieces and putting it all back together, with the whole team back together portrays that.
Idk if the show runners were going for that continuity but I thought it was cool.
There are so many emotional moments in Ted Lasso, but an underappreciated one for me is early on in the first season. Rebecca goes crazy over the biscuits Ted keeps bringing her, and it's revealed that he's not buying them, he's baking them.
I have watched this series twice. I bought the series set on DVD. I will watch it at least once per year. It has everything you could possibly want in a show. Love it & I have spread the word far and wide 'You have GOT to see Ted Lasso!!" 🥰
Roys press conference when he explained that while he didn’t condone Isaac’s action on the field he still had love for him because none of us know what’s happening in other people lives
“All you good people, just trying to make a difference” could be the whole premise of this show.
The writing in Lasso is phenomenal. Few shows can capture every range of emotions like Lasso. It has so much heart!
For me it’s when Roy hugged Jammie after he sees what as bastard Jammie has to put up with for a father that always gets to me
I just finished this show and it is a breath if fresh air. Excellence in tv. It's a comfort show . It's poetry on screen. It's a masterpiece. ❤❤❤❤
Definitely started crying halfway through this list.
I didn’t even get that far.
Nah someone is definitely in here cutting onions
It’s crazy how the best part of 3 or 4 of these scenes were either talked over or edited out. Good thing I’ve seen them so many times I could still play them in my head
Roy and Keeley’s breakup not being on here when that literally broke me the most saddens me.
This show is everything you could want in a comfort show. This show has gotten me through some hard times this last year. My beloved mother is fighting cancer and this show has kept me sane. I got my mom watching too. She’s still fighting, but it’s been hard. This show lifts the spirits.
I think coach beard forgiving nate was really good aswell, we finally heard beard's backstory and the loyalty he has for ted.
Love and miss Ted Lesso so much. I'm looking forward to more episodes of this warm hug of a show.
One of my favorites is when Jamie talks about his shoes. That one got me. It was the first time we really got a look into Jamie's past.
I had a pretty bad injury which naturally included me bring prescribed massive amounts of opiates. When the realization came that it was going to be a problem for me, i asked the physicians to not prescribe any more for me. Of course the horrible withdrawals came after, but this show helped me get through it all. I didn't even know it existed, but staying home from work for 2 weeks gives a lot of time for searching through various streaming services. It totally paid off...
I'm glad you found the show when you needed it. It takes a lot of strength to be able to break away from the opiates. Hope things get better for you
One of my favorite moments from Ted Lasso was the super league episode where Rebecca sees her younger self through the mirror before her meeting and giving her monologue to the other owners about the power of football.
It's amazing that more folks haven't commented on the performance of the actor who plays Jamie's dad. He's on screen for maybe 2 minutes, but his fully inhabited physicality conveys a world of hidden insecurity and resentment, which manifests as the traumatic abuse of his growing son. Quite remarkable, IMO.
Hands down Ted Lasso is one of the very BEST TV Shows ever. It is such a shame that more people haven't heard of it - I think I've managed to convince everyone I know to give it a shot! lol.
Personally I've watched it from start to finish 5 times and cant wait for my 6th in the not too distant future! lol
Only scene that made me cry is Jamie scoring the goal against City, and the entire stadium clapping as he’s subbed off
Nate getting mad about a picture that Ted actually keeps next to a picture of his son
The scene where Nate is playing violin and his dad apologizes to him.
I shed no tears when my first born son was hit by a semitruck on an old Maine highway in 1989. I shed no tears when I buried him in a cemetery and he came back to life and went after my wife and our kindly old neighbor. I shed no tears when I tried to bury my wife in that same cemetery. However, 40 years later, I watched this video, and I have not stopped crying for the last 24 minutes. Thank you Ms. Mojo for making us cry about Ted Lasso...again. 📿
Wow, honestly Sir
DOCTOR CREED?! 😂
Interesting time for a Pet Semetary reference
I can’t get enough of this show! I constantly watch these clips over and over!
They should have added the scene where Roy gets injured in his last game, walks to locker room and Keely is there to comfort him.
Watched it as a way to pass my time. Never thought it would be on my top 5's to watch instead of going to therapy.
I have never even heard of this show and many clips had me in tears. Guess I'll check it out now.
Oh you must. It takes a couple of episodes to pick up, but its really good. And I HATE football - but this made me appreciate the Sport
This is one of the shows that kept me sane during the pandemic. The other was The Mandalorian.
The best part from Isaac and Colin mending bridges? The bit of conversation after Isaac goes through all the questions about gay life he can finally ask a gay friend about.
"I love you mate"
*grunt*
*laughs* "You really can't say it can you?"
"Nope."
*long pause*
"But you know I do, right?"
Your no 1 is mine too.
But my no 2 was missing from your list: Nate confronting his father, and his father confessing that he only ever wanted Nate to be happy. Nick Mohammed’s amazing violin solo made it all the more powerful.
Also on my list: the scene in the restaurant when Anastasia dumps Nate, in the most humiliating way imaginable, followed by Jade’s turn to him.
ted talking to his mom and telling her "F*ck You " and that whole scene was one that got me.
#4 also is powerful considering Rebecca hugs Ted, despite not being a hugger.
Rebecca’s eulogy for her father has to be up there because the whole episodes has ups and downs and it peels another layer from Rebecca’s personality. She goes from being a vengeful, bitter, and cheated ex-wife to a woman who seeks forgiveness from Ted and learns that those she’s stepped on have feelings like Higgins and Keeley. In this episode, she finds out that her father’s infidelity was not only known by her mother but also tolerated. The two women deal with the heavy guilt Rebecca has been carrying thinking that the infidelity was a family secret. The writers give us a small release from the tension in the funny scene where Keeley and Saasy Smurf are trying to find out who is Rebecca’s mystery lover and Mrs. Welton spills the beans. The episode is packed with so much emotions that it culminates with Rebecca finding comfort in the team she once tried to ruin.
It should be a crime that this show is apple+ only. I want to see this show so bad. Looks fucking amazing
“My source was Nate” was such a big turning point in the whole series. What made it worse is nobody saw it coming that way.
Also note that Jason Sudeikis (Ted) is shaking when he replies “no comment”. It’s a great little touch.
Just finished watching Ted Lasso for the second time. So much fun to catch things the second time around.
Sadly no mention of the Christmas dinner at Higgins's place, but I get it, you had to make choices.
But did that make you "ugly cry" like the video title says?
@@TallyDrake yes! What can I say, I'm a sucker for found families and family dinners xD
Omg yes, the fact that Higgins said at most 2 players would show up every year but now almost the whole team is there shows his growth since season one as he's become for outspoken and open with the team and he finally feels like part of it 😢
My feeds have been flooded with ted Lasso content. And maybe i should rewatch for A FIFTH TIME. I fucking hate football - but this series... This made me appreciate it
Football is life!!!!
I've lost count of how many times I've watched it. And multiple reactions to it as well.
Watching Jamie flinch as Roy hugs him is so sad 😭
You missed the part when Coach Beard left Ted in the plane best friends for life but now are apart from each other
We all need to Ugly Cry. 😊
its funny how when we usually meet people or characters like ted we dont like them, i think its because we take their happiness and optimism as fake, but as we keep watching we realize its genuine and thats what makes us love him so much. Another character like that, but not as likeble as ted, is chris traeger from parks and rec
We need more Ted Lasso and New Girl 😩🙏🏻
What kind of lists are you hoping for? Would love to hear your ideas!
@@MsMojo nothing in particular, really. Just anything about Ted Lasso and New Girl. You dont know how much it makes me happy when you post about them. Thank you so much! 🥹🙏🏻
10:03 didn’t notice Beard’s shocked eyes before
22:52 SO SATISFYING
Why does Roy Kent's press conference not get more attention? "I give him love"!
Wonderful to hear ur voice, Rebecca
Happy friday afternoon, Rebecca, take care and God bless you. Greetings from Colombia to you as well
I love this show!!!
Ted Lasso is one of the best shows I ever watched. I had tears in my eyes, I laughed until I couldn't breathe and I hated Dr Jerkoff with a burning passion.
season 4 is on the waaaaay!!!
I am not sure I want it. Honestly. This series is such a complete ark. I fear it will be like that extra season of scrubs we didnt need
rly?! how do u know
@merylandellielife-el1hg they announced it months ago!
Cried during all of these 😂😂
I'm sad that not enough people know about this masterpiece of a show
After Ted talked with his mom, the end credits goes with "Home" of The Wiz, and I was like: wow man those were two different thrauma triggers in less than 3 minutes.
I love you. You can't say it back though, can you?
No. But you know I do, yeah?
Yeah.
Barbecue Sauce
Very surprised you didn't have Roy's speech about when he accidentally cracked a joke to a teammate who had just lost his unborn child.
the rick roll wasnt necesary
When Nate spat at his reflection and the level of self hatred he carried hurt a lot to watch.
Heck! I'm ugly crying just watching this.
I loved this show and I don’t even like sports! 😁
When Roy fills in for Ted at the press conference after Isaac went after the homophobic fan and says about Isaac: “even though what he did is wrong - I give him love”
Ted lasso is a rare type of show. Very few shows particularly today, where the best character arc isn’t obvious. In Ted lasso everyone’s arcs are so great it’s hard to nail down a top 10
I never like comedy series. This one somehow really different and hook me down bad. Best show ever.
The final epside easily could have had 4 of the entries. The i feel you did a greay job wirh the list. I do feel like you should have included rhe video montage they olayed before the final game and the team's reasctions to it
how do you make a whole 24 minute video on ted lasso and still call it soccer?!
I wish you added the very end when we see how everyone is doing in there lifes
Still suspecting that marriage therapist
I still want Ted and Rebecca to be together. They are great for each other.
What about when it was revealed when Henry was the bully?
I missed this mistake the first time I watched this video. Jamie's father is NOT dismayed that Richmond lost to Man City! He's a Man City supporter!! He's disgusted that Jamie gave Man City a reason to dump him and annoyed that Jamie won't arrange for him and his friends to take pics on the pitch.
Who else watched tbis just to have a good healthy ugly cry 🥹😭
And fine I'll go rewatch while waiting for season 3 of heartstopper lol
I love you Rebecca.
At 17:47 you got rickrolld
What's the song at 16:26
Edit: nvm found it
moça muito obrigado pelo compilado masvc fala muito
We need another season of Ted Lasso. I thought Roy and Keely would get back together. So many things were good such as Roy and Jamie, Rupert’s downfall, and Rebecca’s love life. ❤
What episode is #19
It was 3x5 Signs
One of my favourite shows . I knew Shelly was just playing up and he was manipulated by Rupert
Rupert uses charm and manipulation to smoothly use and abuse others in order to maintain his self-image. He only cares if others are in pain when it serves his need for emotional supply.
darts
great show. aweful list. all mixed up and so many things missing. who did this?
If you would have just played the clips, without the commentary, this would have been great.
Nate sucked, couldn't stand him
Ted panic attack are not only from his marriage..its actually the thought of giving up that shake him to the spinie..thats why he have panic attack when on the field..ted just scared if he's end up lik his dad
