Why would you take the time to make a lyrics version and not line it up so that people can sing along????? The only reason people watch this is to learn the words. You can't do that if it doesn't match. Therefore, the creator of this video either did a terrible job or is a moron who will only cost themselves repeat views. I for one will find a different video to watch to learn the words
oh god, when i was 7, in the zoo i started singing the chorus to this at the monkey enclosure and i embarrassed my mom so bad XD she tried to pass it off saying "her sister listens to that stuff" and my sis tina totally sold her out and said " no i dont you play it in the car"
I got into beastie boys criminally late, I grew up in the uk during the early 90s where you were a raver and snubbed anything that was hip hop or a guitar based, people into Nirvana snubbed us, brit-poppers who were into Oasis and Blur etc. I loved growing up in the rave scene 800 people in a field jumping around to god how many BPMs for sometimes days on end was magic, or was it just the Ecstacy, lol. Luckily I got with an older girl who educated me to never to box off music, and the links and influences i.e. she taught that without Planet rock by Africa Bambata, there would be no techno scene in Detroit and Germany without the Beatles things would be very different. Now I have a ridiculouly varied vinyl collection from Woody Guhtrie andn Aphex Twin to Robert Hood the best Detroit techno producer out there. I'm quite fussy about my hip hop, I like it to be raw funky and fun, REAL hip hop as a call it with ingenious samples beastie boys who I need to invest alot more time into, and Public Enemy and De La soul
Hard to believe this is thirty years old. I was a Freshman in high school when this came out. Remember it like it was yesterday. Time waits for no one.
Scotty Shepherd haha magic seems too complicated we have magic get-togethers in Joshua Texas but I just stayed in the background watching people play cuz it seems so hard to do
I remember being in downtown Los Angeles in the early spring of 1987 and EVERYONE was playing this album. Black, brown, white, male, female, vato, gangster, rocker... Everyone...
+Aaron Hack, everyone gets old, so don't demean those who have aged. It's an inevitable part of life that happens merely by waiting. You can't stop time. +Damien Moye, it's great that you've enjoyed this song and grew up with it, but don't act superior to others just because you listened to it when you grew up. If people enjoy the song and found it differently, you should commend them for liking the song, not demean them because they're new to the song.
I partied with Mike D.. my jaws hurt for days from laughing so much he’s hilarious a non stop comedy show lol. But brass monkey tastes like crap but it messes you up big time! It’s not bad after your first double shot.. then you kinda go numb bah haha. Party on Mike Donovan❣️
When I was a teenager and I got my first system in my car this was the first song I wanted to test out my subs. I use the set off car alarms a block away lol the hood old days 🙌
They played this on a fair ride, and I didn't know what it was until my fiance told me...so I looked it up, and now this is the 10th time I've listened. It's so dang catchy XD

Atom Blast learn the lyrics then you wont be 2 lines behind
Jacob Nakiso that's what the lyrics are for dumbass
out of all the videos with lyrics that couldn't be seen. Someone takes the time to insult one person who did not get it quite right.
