It just doesnt add up. Its not like she can sell her house for a huge profit even If it sells fast. We are not talking about a few hundred thousand here. We all know money goes fast when renting. Her You Tube channel isnt big enough to be generating big bucks to support all their living costs. So unless she has other sources of income or big savings put away , I am afraid it isnt making sense to me. Maybe Its because I dont have all the facts. Fine If she wants to not reveal everything but I understand why viewers are thinking like we do.

@@nesadcruz7840 whatever the house sells for is cash in their pockets since it totally paid for. That’s a lot of cash. And yes we don’t know what they have in the bank and she repeatedly says they have other income sources.

@@ayela562 Its not like Its over half a Million dollars . Money goes fast If you rent and dont have steady income. There are closing costs too. I am assuming at some point they would want to buy another house. I just hope there is sufficient left then because the market can go up , also travelling in an RV will incur costs + Murphies happen to all of us. One big Emergency can see a huge dip in “ Savings”. Maybe my perspective and yours are different. I have seen too many people think they are rich or secure just because they have 300k in cash after selling a house. Then 3 years later after renting and other living costs, rising market, they are priced out. What they have left isnt enough and they need to take a big loan to buy another property or dont even qualify for a loan.Often they dont even know where the money went. If you have 300k in profit from selling a second property and still have a roof over your head, that would be a different scenario. We always bought first before selling. We currently own 6 properties and I have bought /sold over 15 in the past 20 years. We have been doing Fix n Flip, Rentals for years. But to each his own. I just hope this has been thought through.

Different Comfort levels of Risk and also Priorities. Most of us see merit in getting a good education, building a stable career , living comfortably with some luxuries even if we are frugal. Both my parents were professionals but my mum chose to quit and raise us. My dad brought in more than enough, we even had a Nanny when young, so mum could drive the older ones( 5 of us) to school, games, playdates etc. All 5 of us have gone on to live similarly and we have all had the option of retiring early. Our philosophy is if you work hard and smart earning a good income early, it sets you up for life and after 40 you can go do all the things you want to do.

As for income do what is right for you. My husband and I are boomers and 35 years ago we quit our jobs and bought a run down farm and moved in the middle of winter with 2 kids. Everyone thought we were crazy but we paid cash for the farm, fixed it up and only had to work part time till retirement. Back in the ‘70s my husband and I decided to forego buying a house at the time in favour of travelling for 6 months with our small daughter around Europe in a VW Kombi van. Lots of people thought we were being irresponsible for doing this but we had so many wonderful experiences together and we never regretted it for one minute. Also, a few years later I hurt my back quite badly and haven’t been able to travel any distance since, so if we’d taken on the opinions of others back then, I never would have gotten to make these memories. If I was single at 65 I would get a converted van and do van life. But I would buy unrestricted land as a home base. Maybe Do a shed cabin. I actually have that on the Tennessee river. I rarely comment on videos, but I just had to with this one. My husband and I are “elderly” now with some health issues, and feel that we are too old now to have the adventure you and your family are going on. All of our adult lives we wanted to do what you are doing, and we never took the leap, and we really regret it, more than anything in our lives.

People are so scared of what is different and goes against what is always done and has been done for a long time. That insecurity feeds into their resistance and breeds hate. They only wish to have the amount of confidence and courage you do. I appreciate the alternative way of living you show because a lot of us are longing and searching for something out of the norm. We want a way out. So thank you so much for all the hard work you do and show us. Your family is much better off in the long run. So many people are stuck and unhappy and seeing others thriving, again, makes them very insecure. Wish you all the best this world has to offer

I too moved to Florida and after 4 months I wanted to move back to my home state (Illinois). People also made comments and would say why would you want to leave Florida and move back to the Chicago area. I didn’t even want to explain because they were steadfast in their opinions. I never regretted moving back to Illinois. Now since I moved back in 2022 hurricane Ian hit and home insurance has gone up exponentially. Too expensive to live in Florida. For me it’s not worth it. Don’t worry about explaining to people why the decisions youve made are right for your family. Best of luck!

You’ve managed to keep your lifestyle very low cost, so that will make it easier for you to survive longer than the average person. I’m a native Floridian and see so many people flocking down here, but the truth is most newcomers are not cut out for it. This isn’t a dig at you guys, I’m just saying, Florida has a certain “way”… it’s an acquired taste and it can be hard. I will say the cost of property tax is skyrocketing, and it’s getting really hard to make it. But I would cry to leave here, this place is in me.

Lots and lots and lots and lots of RUclipsrs are out there doing RV life full-time with homeschooled kids and it’s absolutely amazing! Secondly, you deserve more than a five dollar donation for all of the help you have given me over the last seven years that I have been following you! Anyway, I hope you’re enjoying the Knoxville area. I wanted you to know that there’s a bunch of stuff for homeschoolers and I think next month sometime you can actually get a huge discount to go to some fun places in Gatlinburg if you are a homeschooler, so keep an eye out for that! Also, the Home school community here it is a lot of fun so you might consider joining a Facebook group just for a while you’re here.

I live in Florida, been here my whole life. The cost to raise a family is becoming like California prices. Taxes and Insurance are outrageous here. Now even if you don't live in a flood zone, property insurance will require you to have flood insurance. The cost of food is really high too. The traffic is like New York and the crime rate is not good. I'm in Broward County by the way. It takes me a lot longer in the morning to take my kids to school than it use to.

It's not that you can't do those things, it's that you have children and you are living by the seat of your pants. Financial freedom isnt just debt free, its having a beefy savings. Its owning appreciating assets. And substantial life insurance policies. Its not "see how little we can make to live on:" what if something happens to you, your husband or both? You say you have savings and imcome, great! Save it and be smart with it. Unless you are wealthy, jetsetting is not wise. Leaving Florida did not save you money.

I enjoy how you live outside 'the box'. You are doing things I never would have though of, or thought possible. It is a bit of fresh air. My folks always lived below their means. We had what we needed, our house was standard, but I never knew until they passed away how frugal they had been. They just liked the freedom of not being in debt and being able to move if they wanted to. My dad was Way Ahead of His Time. He didn't want me to go to a babysitter, so he let my mom choose who would stay home to care for me, in 1955! My mom chose to work, so he stayed home until I started school. However, he did home school me during that time. I was able to write in cursive by age 3. My Doctor thought I should start kindergarten because of what I had learned. But my parents were smart enough to know I wasn't socially ready for school at that age.

You are walking a faithful path knowing your family will always have exactly what you need for your mind bodies and soul.
Folks with negative opinions have little faith. They live in fear. They live small. You want to live big. Keep that dream alive and you will go places. Can’t say that for folks that live in fear.
We are planning a similar move. My husband is being medically retired. And we may sell and live in an rv, travel a bit then settle when God leads us to a better home for our family.

Uhhhh I highly doubt it.. since if you just drive around any American middle to upper class neighborhoods -- you will see millions of families enjoying their well kept homes, neighbors, schools, all the activities of vacations and travel when they choose!! Attempting to assume they are all so eager to jump in a cramped RV is just not accurate.

I feel that your way of thinking and living freely makes all those people really uncomfortable! Maybe they don’t even realise themselves, but they don’t like you doing what you do because this could make them question their own decisions….For the majority it’s much easier to accept that you just have to live in a certain way like everybody else, and there is no way to change it (and they attack anyone who even tries to think or live their own way)….
