Something very cool about seeing Mr Rea so well dressed and in this very dignified, classic setting. IMO He has represented Kawasaki exceptionally well. Of course he has won a record number of championships but more importantly, he’s professional, respectable, reserved and demonstrates admirable humility 😎🎩♠️ The Dude is so modest- this is the first time I’ve heard him say anything about the DORNA rule changes. The average WSBK fan doesn’t even know how rules change to level the field. The RPM limits that prevented him getting his 7th successive championship were unnecessary IMO. The technical rules should encourage safety, fairness and price competitiveness in the homologation market, not punish the manufacturer who developed technology that makes more power at elevated RPM (and yet, still in an affordable bike). I’ll step off my soap box now 🎩
Jonny is such a character. Unbelievable personality, humility and humanity. I will miss him in green, but we're on to a new era and really wish him yet another title including the motoGP. Beautiful session. Mr. Johnny talking about Ducati advantage like I thought it was the whole time. Next season we will see how Ducati's do in level playing field.
He is the greatest Super bike rider of all time, but it's not just about the wins, Jonathan is a true gentleman. Ruthless on track but always ready to praise other riders off the track. Having raced and coached, it's very rare to get such a successful rider who is a nice guy. Toprak has proven the Yamham has another championship in it, had he not had mechanical failures and a tyre let go this year could have been a different story. Well done Carole Nash for supporting him.
He is a superstar on wsb, but if Spies had stayed there he probably would of won 6-8 titles there! No one else changed manufacturers, tires, and tracks he had never seen, and put everyone to sham his first year!!!
