Honestly if he didnt sign a contract he didnt scam him. Horrible way to learn this lesson but the way the law looks at it he just basically gave his money away.
Verbal contracts are legally enforceable. However, if he was asking them to delete footage that hurt his brand and they're refusing, they breached the contract (and the reasonable expectation for respectful interactions on the set). He specifically said he felt harassed, and they ignored it.

And this is why at 19 you don't know how to be professional because for number one whenever you pay a celebrity to show up and appear there's a set rule that only the host and the people involved directly speak to the celebrity usually no 1 is allowed to speak to the celebrity I've done backgrounds for movies and it is a rule in the contract you do not speak to the celebrity unless spoken to. You do not ask for autographs you do not ask for a hug you do not fan girl out you don't speak to the celebrities
