LAYOFF NEWS: UT Austin Cuts 60 DEI Staff, Gearbox Studios & Concordia University Wisconsin RIFs

The University of Texas at Austin (UT Austin) has announced that they are laying off 60 employees involved in diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs due to the passing of Senate Bill 17 (SB 17) in Texas last year that banned DEI initiatives at public colleges and universities.
Video game studio Gearbox Software has announced layoffs of an unknown scale this year after being sold by Embracer Group to Take-Two for $460M last week.
Finally, Concordia University Wisconsin will lay off 24 employees at its campus in Mequon, effective May 31.
