Mason, I dont often comment on videos but I want to mention what a blessed man you are to have a true love from your soon to be bride. Much like me, we both outkicked our coverage, but I am 30 plus years in with 4 kids and 12 grands and still going strong. She really touched my heart when she was interviewed about you, absent you, on the documentary you filmed. That young lady definitely adores you. I’ve found some tee boxes from the front boxes are very difficult for a golfer with any sort of distance off the tee. My home course has a par 5 with a telephone pole directly in the center of the window toward the fairway about 30 yards from the box. Forces you to either layup with a wedge or sling/slice it around the pole and over the fairway hazard. Other times it’s just unkept tree canopy gets in the way of iron shots and forces you to work the ball around it.

Hi Mason.... for chips and pitches using 2 hands... try playing the shots with the butt of the grip pointing toward your right(rear) hip thru the stroke... this will get you using the bounce and you won't have to worry about digging with the leading edge. Cheers

Every time I watch one of these videos I think how lucky you are to have that woman by your side.
I’ve been doing a graduation series from forward tees (no double bogies) and I find at least 2-3 tee boxes like on hole 6 where you have to shape hard because of where you are on a dog leg. I’ve always felt doglegs are harder from the forward tees.
That’s like hole #4 at my home course. If you can’t hit a strong fade, your second shot is usually 180+, and if the pin is on the left behind the bunker, sticking the green from that distance is near impossible with a front to back sloping green coming off that bunker. I play with some members who play the fade extremely well and can leave it so they only have 130 yards in, but my natural shape is a draw and the trees line the right side very closely, making this hole extremely hard for me. I usually have 200+ into the green no matter what tee box I hit from. A double on this hole is not unusual for me 😑
I did par it today with a front right pin, but my approach was 207. Luckily I hit a good 4-hybrid to 25 ft. One of these days I’ll learn to fade reliably on demand.

I mean the DOD is a good shot to practice, but one must wonder why you would use it off the box when you are allowed to use a tee ? Surely the tee allows you the ability to raise the ball up to the sweet spot on the driver .
