Ironmans my favourite and I’ve tried to work with foam but I’m still waiting for the day I can get myself a printer, even a cheaper one so my creations will come to life! Keep it up! I always thought cosplay stuff like this was crazy endeavors that you needed years of coding and building experience or someone who has the experience to help. I’m slowly beginning to understand that no, you don’t.
It shouldn't hurt your vision, it could potentially just dry it, the screen you are looking at probably does the exact same thing and you probably use it for long so you shouldn't worry about LEDs for a couple of minutes. You can test it and see how long your eyes feel like it's starting to dry out, get any glasses and stick those LED eyes on it and see, and like the fine gentleman/lady above me said. You can have some kind of yellow/orange transparent tape to stick it between the LEDs and your sweet eyes so you can eliminate the blue tint of the LEDs so it doesn't bother you and potentially keep them on for longer. :D

This is so cool! Does 3D printing out the helmets, weapons, small trinkets etc. cost less than buying it because there is a chance you get something wrong with the 3D printer which is a waste of money. So is it easier just buying it?
If you do not plan on using the printer for anything else, go ahead and buy the helmet. But if you want or already own a 3D printer, definitely go for the print. Even if you fuck up the whole helmet (impossible, because you print in parts) it costs maybe $5 in PLA

That mechanism for closing and opening the helmet is so cool! It took me a while to figure out how you were opening and closing on command just because it’s so subtle

I am now building one of your prints, but when I do the eyes, I can't see through when the light is on, but can see when turned off. Do the lights affect your vision/hurt your eyes?
I've always wanted to have a helmet with glowy eyes but I'm worried about potential damage.
