    I like this review because it cuts through the chase and everything is explained in detail with only the things that matter of the vehicle. I think that I would buy the Toyota RAV4 XLE Premium FWD. The Toyota vehicles won’t razzle dazzle you with the latest technologies, neither does it have the driving dynamics of some competitors, nor is it particularly attractive. However, Toyota has proven and easy to use user friendly technologies, and more importantly, it will last a lifetime of dependable transportation for as long as you properly take care of it.

    Great review, waiting for mine to come in but would disagree about the "quiet engine",road noise is fairly high also but I found it to be fairly smooth ride even on bumpy roads.

      Thanks for watching! I guess the reason I called it a "quiet engine" is because at the dealership, I test drove the 4Runner and Tacoma, and those were NOISY engines. So in comparison, the RAV4 was "quieter" compared to those two. Even though it isn't a quiet engine, lol.
      But yes, Toyota stepped up big time in regard to ride quality. Definitely one of the highest selling points for this SUV.

    Hello!! Great review! I just purchase my rav4 2022 and I like it so much. There is only one thing that I don’t know if it is normal or not or maybe I am the only one experiencing this and is that I can hear wind noise through my door. Have you experienced the same?
    Thank you!

    • @fernandomontenegro9458
      @fernandomontenegro9458  2 года назад

      Out of curiosity, are you hearing a "hissing" sound from the door? If yes, you or someone else should open that door and do an inspection of the door seal to make sure that there are no defects/ tears. The other thing to check, just in case, is to make sure that the window is rolled all the way up. If the window is not all the way up, you will hear alot more wind in that area.
      For me, I hear a lot of wind noise coming from the side mirrors and not the doors and you will also hear road noise as well if you are on the highway. Toyota's in general are not well sound-proofed in the inside. It is not a Rolls-Royce, lol.
      Thank you for watching!

    This video has been my training manual for a soon to be delivered RAV4. Are you in auto sales? This is how I would "feature" a vehicle at delivery when I sold Fords. I can now tell my sales weasel to save his breath. 😁

      @fernandomontenegro9458  3 года назад +1

      I am not in auto sales (but thank you for the compliment!). I am simply a customer that bought a 2021 RAV4. What led me to do all of these RAV4 videos was the fact that they are in high demand and I guess I wanted to showcase to curious viewers as to why.
      Out of curiosity, are they delievering the RAV4 at a dealership for you to pick up or are they delievering it directly to your house?

    • @shooter2055

      @@fernandomontenegro9458 I am working with a traditional dealership. They had nothing in inventory for me to even sit in prior to my order. Carvana would have been just as helpful. I used the Toyota corporate site to "build" my machine prior to ordering. This is totally alien to a guy who first purchased a 1977 FJ-40 Land Cruiser from a small, "service station" dealer. At least my FJ-40 was present on the "lot" for me to inspect and test drive.
      And another thing! Great gratitude for simply covering the "switchology" of the machine. Other videos provided by dealers devolve into feature hype and ignore what consumers need to just operate the machine.

      Thanks for watching! When I was at the dealership back in January, the sales associate helping me mentioned that they were struggling to meet the demand for the RAV4 (which I guess is a good thing for a dealership compared to not being able to sell a car). I vaguely remember that in the area of the lot where they had the RAV4s, there were so few of them left.
      So I can only imagine how popular the Prime will be...

  • @rosehodoba6287
    @rosehodoba6287 3 года назад +3

    On the gas gage it was showing 139 miles at a half tank, the car should have over 500 milesvon a full tank, this is miss leading that the tank is not 14.2 gal tank and in the book it states a 14.2 gal tank.

    • @fernandomontenegro9458
      @fernandomontenegro9458  3 года назад +1

      When I fill up the tank to full, my range (or distance from empty) is 417 miles. I always reset my trip odometer back to 0 every time I refuel. So what you are seeing is that when I reached half a tank, I had driven 267.9 miles and that I had 139 miles left to go to "empty". The only RAV4 that I can think of that can get near 500 miles on a full tank would be the hybrid version (which the RAV4 in this video is NOT). In the hybrid version, you can alternate between the gas engine and full electric power which increases your range over the regular gas powered Rav4.
      The range or "distance to empty" can vary and change depending on your driving style (if you drive fast and aggressive, the range goes down quicker, if you baby it and drive normally, your range can increase). I have tested this and babied this Rav4 and the best I was able to get was 421 miles before I had to refuel. So unfortunately, this Rav4 won't be able to get to 500 miles on a full tank. But regardless, to go past 400 miles on just a 14.2 gal tank, I consider that impressive for an SUV. So, the 14.2 gal tank that the owner's manual states is true, (although I wish it did have a slightly bigger fuel tank).

    • @rosehodoba6287
      @rosehodoba6287 3 года назад +2

      The 14.2 gal tank you should get 500 miles before your empty, city at 28 you should get out of a full tank is almost 400, there is something wrong with the car. I have done this on every car I had with the numbers and it comes real close to what it suppose to get.

    • @johnmartin7158
      @johnmartin7158 3 года назад +2

      @@rosehodoba6287 Hi Rose ! Please refer to “ the car care nut “ you-tube channel for that answer. From what I have heard is there is still a lot of petrol left in the tank. Kinda a safety feature.
      This channel is correct in saying 420 is pretty damn good. But it sounds like,this car will get over 500 miles easily despite the gauges. But why tempt fate ???
      Regards. John. NZ

    • @braetonwilson4296
      @braetonwilson4296 3 года назад

      @@rosehodoba6287 John Martin is correct. The car will say empty even where there's a gallon or two of gasoline left in the tank. This is a safety measure. This means that technically you can driving 30-60 miles even on empty.

    • @fernandomontenegro9458
      @fernandomontenegro9458  2 года назад +1

      Hey Richie, I chose FWD simply because of two reasons: Where I lived and my commute/hobbies.
      I live in South Florida so there is no snow, mountains, or really any ideal place to go off-roading. (At least not in the Everglades with this RAV4). My commute is basically on the highway 95% of the time and 5% in the city. Plus I don't go off-roading anywhere hobby-wise. In other words, I don't really need AWD for my situation.
      I prefer that if I am getting/adding features to a SUV, I am going to use it often. (For example, I use the sunroof whenever I am at the beach).
      Honestly, go with whatever your heart desires! Go and see the RAV4 in person and explore everything before buying. I hope that answers your question!
