This is the year of my RAV4 XLE, it is my baby. This is the last car I will buy. I am 76 years old and it will more then last me a lifetime, my daughter will be able to use it for many years. It has 18,800 miles on it after 3 years! I get it detailed before winter and in May to get the winter dirt off.❤️🙂👍

I'm definitely a car enthusiast and really enjoy working on cars. Learned on a 90's cadillac, and now that I'm out of college, I got a 21 Rav4. I get hate a LOT for it being a 'boring' car, but here's the thing- I'll easily get that car to 300k and it'll last me the better part of 20 years, being reliable all the way though. When I pay this thing off in a couple years, I know I can get to work and continue to earn a paycheck, which, with the savings of having a solid car that lasts forever, means that I can go buy really cool cars that might need a lot of work. I can enjoy these cars thoroughly knowing that I have the rav4 as needed to get to work everyday and not stress. It's a long term plan, but suffering for 4-5 years only having a toyota will bring so much more fun and peace of mind afterwards. Also- absolutely loving the car thus far!

That was the stupid thing I've ever heard of, when one's floor mats, soda cans, water bottles, jam against the gas pedal! Pay attention if there are obstructions on the floor. How is that Toyota's fault? It's the driver's fault, and called laziness! Give me a break! If your floor mat is pushed up against the pedal, straighten it out! Clean your vehicle out! This can happen to any automobile, not just a Toyota.

Took it through a snow-storm and made it up some steep hills we expected to struggle on. The safety features are great and work well. It's because Toyota decided to follow the others instead of being a leader, like it usually is, and started making parts out of plastic and mixing materials: plastic-metal, alum.-steel, etc. The new engine is ridiculously complicated. They made the engine too big. Generally, an I4 shouldn't be bigger than 2.4L, but under 2.4L is best, due to inherent balance issues--vibrate it self apart. So, for example, Toyota needed to put another crank in the engine to balance the main crank.
