Hell yeah. This is my first exposure to this game in over 20 years. And I still remember every nook and cranny of it. Just played through Uncharted recently and I already have forgotten most of that game. Anyway; great run & thanks for the memories. :)
Damn, I used to play this game over and over for hours when I was a kid. I recognized some moves in this video as the same I used to do and my mind was blown for some reason (maybe the nostalgia). I used the TV timer to "check" my records and all I know is I've never beaten this game in under 15 minutes, as the TV always turned off around the start of the last stage. Funny random memories.
This has always been one cool ass game! I suck w/out using the ten man life code, however I know this games patterns well. I like to go nuts and keep on shooting even after I’ve beaten the hell out of the level bosses. I’ve always liked to screw around on level 3 because I love the earthquake on it as well as the music during it, so when I’m on that part I’ll quite purposely take my time. Level 3 is my favorite but a close second is the Aliens Lair. I play great on my own but w/my brother or friend I’d get them killed because I was too fast. Ah the memories...
it's a glitch I guess I continue firing using turbo button the spread's pattern changes while you hitting an object or opponent that's why it was happening until it looks like a machine gun.
Very nice skills! I'm also planning to do such a run but the second Contra is harder than the first one. Thanks for showing me how to get through the passage with loads of floating things in area 6. Seems like a breeze. Check my channel for some no death runs and other walkthroughs if you want.
Still my game with my old friend. We are 50 now 😎👻
+mainmajo wow! Respect!
are you a game developer
That mountain stage has awesome music I used to forget every tension while playing this back in 1997 now I'm 31 year old

Game was awesome, good old days.
Nostalgia for real! Started with run through of Mike Tyson’s Punch Out, then Contra then Super Contra. Guess I’ll watch Mario next.
Now, I keep hearing the spread gun's sfx event after watching the video. LOL

Beat Contra without dying when I was 1989 multiple times. 17 or or maybe younger.
17:23 that boss is similar to the one from castlevania order of eclessia.
Childhood memories 😔
Oh and I’m sure you guys are aware that Contra and Super C are unlockable on Nintendo D S game Contra 4? Another badass entry in this series!
yeah but I prefer to play it on nes emulators
Cool
Nostalgia!
Love this game.. Childhood memories
Very well done, sir.

I already have a link on the video's description of my gameplay almost 2 years ago without turbo botton.
TheJimmyleeboy2

I sucked hard at this game. Don’t think I got through the first level and I know many a NES controller was thrown.

imo I think it's the opposite ! I'm easily doing runs like that in Super C but I never finished the first one !
Nicolas Allaire
Well I only had problem with that 6th level in Super C. Apart from that it's pretty easy game.
You hit the cannon at 10:45...how did you not die?......
I accidentally discovered that you won't get hit by touching the back part of that cannon after playing several times.
I had this via eShop for Nintendo 3DS, but was an idiot and deleted it because ai couldn't beat Area 1
I couldn't beat area 1, it's a dick!
I beat the eShop version in one go, best 5 bucks ever
i did today, took me like 10-15 tries xD
Wow I do the same thing he does..
