Glad this video was posted. I had to replace my remote. When I tried to program the replacement, my LED would turn green after pressing the lock button and then immediately turn red and not program the remote. I pushed the lock button 5 times during programming and low and behold the remote is programmed. Would've been nice if that info was in the the instructions or quick start guide that came with the unit.

If you have the antenna, you have to keep the ignition on the "on" position on the 5th time, press the button on the antenna, and then press the lock button. I kept turning the ignition to off on the 5th time and pretty sure that's why I struggled.
I went to the authorized dealer they said they will charge me $67 to $120 for fixing. I said hold on i will contact Compustar because they deleted from my account. I came back home and checked this RUclips videos and fix it.
Fire that mechanic. I had a dead battery and my mechanic came to my house jump started my pickup drove it to his shop changed the battery drove my pickup back to me and only charged me for the battery.
Seriously, idk why I didn't think of looking on RUclips before I took it in and paid a $118 shop fee at an electronic store 🙄 They said it just needed to be reprogrammed...is this all I needed to do??? Ffs. Oh well, I'll know for next time to just try doing it myself.
My remote stopped locking/unlocking/starting the car after car battery died. I tried reprogramming with the 5 key turns with no success. I also tried unplugging transmitter and that did nothing. When I press the button on antenna/transmitter it lit up red, I hit lock button on remote and the light went green but didnt lock door. At this point I assumed the remote was still synced because it was communicating with antenna/transmitter. *MY FIX* I disconnected my car battery for 2 minutes and reconnected and IT WORKED.
Thank you! The official instructions don't mention the LED on the antenna, and that stupid antenna BARELY stays plugged in. I'm going to modify the connector so the antenna actually stays plugged in. I was sitting there trying to program remotes for 5 minutes and cussing at the stupid thing, only to release the super-cheap connector had simply fallen out. It almost feels like it has a notch to hold it in, but it's weak AF.
@@kennethwise7108Great, it didn’t work for me because I used wrong fob instead FX I used Am (ending) so I downloaded some DroneMobile app for curiosity and register my car. Now I can turn on/off engine, lock , unlock through iPhone :) however it’s not free 3$ to 5$ per month.
Hi Kenneth, can you try our other remote programming videos and see if any of those instructions are helpful to you? This video is for a specfic frequency remote and may not apply to your system.

Soooo what do you do if there are no lights whatsoever on the antenna, nothing happens when I use the remote, antenna has had harness unplugged and re-seated, remote has new battery’s and flashes the LEDS like it sending a signal just fine. System acts like the antenna isn’t getting any power.
Anyone aware of what can be done about the 2 way alert/confirmation? When I remote start my car, it only alerts back that it was successful about 25% of the time even though the start was successful.
my remote starts my car just fine, but it turns off the heater. I have everything on when i leave the car , i use the remote starter and the blower and the heater shuts off but car runs. i put my physical key in when i get into the car turn it theen everything fires up. Will a reset fix this or was it not installed properly?
I recently had the remote installed to my vehicle. Love it. However I cannot figure out how to get it to unlock all doors as opposed to just the driver door. Is there a certain number of times to press unlock or a certain amount of time. I did get them to unlock once but cannot replicate what action unlocked them. Thanks!
@@kelleyrobles1961 Thanks, I was stuck in the timing. I have to wait 2- 3 seconds between. Quick double tap didn't do it but if I was longer than 3 seconds it didn't work either. Love this remote. I work 12 hour night shifts in Wisconsin. Winters...I can step out the opposite side of the building from the parking lot some 400 to 500 yards to start it 10 ~ 15 minutes before shift end and get into a warm car with clear windows!!
@@christophervanzetta yeah the double tap hasn't worked for me. Sometimes it does if I wait 2 or 3 seconds between. Sometimes not. Should be easy I know. Maybe I'll have the installer adjust it for me. I work 12 hr. shifts and have a rider. Like to start it and then unlock it so they can get in. Most the time they say they have to go hit unlock from the driver door.
just tried this and it did not work, could not get the antenna thing to stay lit up, does the tempiture inside the cabin make a difference, it was about 0 in the cab. the remote that was cold and in the cab did not seem to work rite either but the warm on in my pocket seemed to work proper but still did not take a program.

Mine is all hooked up but I can't even get the remote to work with the antenna. The drone app works fine. I did the step above, unplugged the antenna, waited 39 seconds, plugged it in, went through on and off, pushed button on antenna and then lock button on key fob. Nothing.
So my car tunes on perfect when I turn it on by hand inside but when I turn it on with the remote start it starts and hear the starter cranking still while the car is already On the starter stays on for 6sec and then after the cranking is off the car still is on and shuts off after 16 sec it tunes off and then tunes back again and dose the same thing over and over until I push the brake help me please @compustar
On the G15, there's a small crevice on the bottom side of the remote. If you insert a penny or a small coin, you can twist it to open up the back cover. Hope this helps.
I purchased new kit because my old one doesn’t work. Simply plugged out wire from ant-1wam and plugged in ant-ap. There’s no light coming on ant-ap and there’s no button on it either. What do i do?
If you're talking about your car battery: A) This won't initiate remote programming. B) This may exit valet mode if that's causing issues. C) You should always disconnect negative first, not positive, or you may risk causing a short.

The instructions say to program 2 remotes, do each one twice. I hope that's what you're referring to.

One tap unlocks drivers and two unlocks all

You can change this setting on your vehicle if it isn’t an internal setting

How do I change the battery in this remote? There are no screws only a slot on the corner that I am afraid to force open with a coin.

If this doesn't work. Unplug the positive connection to your battery for one minute. Than try doing it again. I had to do this 👍👍👍
