I honestly see how this is Tom's favorite game. The smile on his face while playing this even stressful experience was the biggest I've seen yet!
Lol at Sam constantly being like "move a bad guy" cause he just wants to keep rolling dies rather than doing the game management haha
Sam can reach bad guys to throw them off the board but not to move them ?
Sam sayin move a bad guy was driving me crazy because sometimes no one moved for him..., but the game is awesome and thanks for the good video.

Not sure why Sam is confused over the weapons with the red spot. Tom was very clear in his explanation of it.
This is honestly one of my favorite games. I backed the original kickstarter and been playing it regularly (once or twice a month) ever since. It really is a rollercoaster of a game. When done right, you have the slowdown talking and discussion of plans and strategy, then the two minutes of insanity as your plans go out the window and you have to think on your feet. It's a game where most players end up on their feet, biting their nails for the last few rounds. The new print looks amazing in comparison to the original, I just hope they add a campaign option this time around.

The last round was 2 minutes of Hilarious fun! Right down to the last 10 seconds! Really captures the overall mood and fun factor of this game! =)

Great playtrough, this game is so much fun!
Although I’ve played with 4 players and have enjoyed it. I think the camaraderie between the guys made this 2nd time around more enjoyable and entertaining.
Played my first game of this today. It was glorious.
Loved hearing Tom singing a Queen song while playing. Lol. Makes me feel less weird, cuz I often sing and hum while playing (especially in tense games).
On 6th round, you should have moved the bad guys next to Sam to push him back towards the edge more quickly, where he could have defended it without needing movement rolls.
Maybe some cheating. I don’t care. Because of this video i pledged this game. I laughed so hard watching this. Great video!!

I have one major problem with this style of game, with everyone rolling at once it makes for a very chaotic game where I don't see how anyone can tell what the others are doing in order to keep track of mistakes and such
Mistakes definitely happen (and are not caught). But, the game is designed a little bit with that in mind. As long as you are not making mistakes on purpose, it's absolutely fine.
Also, this eliminates Alpha gamers, which I love.
Well I mean if you were trying ta face a horde of aliens you would probably do mistakes too xD
@@JimmySquiky My thoughts exactly, the chaotic and speedy rolling period seems to be the most accurate game mechanic that forces you to think on your feet.

Ill only get this for the minis, the game play seems too chaotic for my taste. I do like the proposed Zombicide Invader cross over. That may make it worth while.
Just reinforced more that I don’t like real time games.
Tom is totally cheating. Zee's intuition is correct. ALL aliens activate (bite, shoot, etc) and only then do all aliens move. Also, swarm aliens have to activate before bosses, so the boss must be moved last.
Finally, getting out is not enough to win. You have to resolve that final alien phase and if any cross the exit, you still lose.
Are those the new CMON rules? Also, it seemed to me that no alien would have been through.
Haven’t seen the new rules, but it’s nit especially likely this part changed. It’s very likely the far front boss would have been pushed by the swarm and then activated across the board edge. Remember, you have to move the swarm first. This makes bosses extra deadly because they tend to push and get pushed when they are surrounded by swarms, increasing total movement speed of aliens near them.
... and that slime lady would have made them lose. She would spit slime, then move 4 (which results in 5, and she barely makes it to the exit as well).
BUT, they were having fun, and that's more important.

I believe you probably meant to say that there were errors in interpretation of the rules. These pesky keyboards are always playing up.
so this is space invaders in board game form? I mean literally the game play looks like space invaders, that old atari game.
This looks like CMON. And CMON kinda sucks. What kind of games do you like?
I prefer games that have many relationships ( too many to discover in just a few plays) and are very cinematic and tactile (minis are engaging to me). However, I don't have the time for tons of book keeping in games so I prefer the rules be on game play cards or simple charts for the most part. I've only played one Cmon game called zombiecide black plague with one other player. It was ok, I'm sure it can be more fun with more players. I'm not sure if this Elite game is for me, it doesn't appear to provide a way to do much thinking or discovery.
This is not meant to be thinky or leaving room for discovery. it is meant to give you the feel of a cooperative FPS, and it nails that part.
I think of it like the movie Aliens, with the space marines fighting the hostile alien life form. It's like Space Hulk or Level 7 [Omega Protocol], but the real-time element brings it closer to being a simulation of the movie.
So, I dig it!
yeah I understood that after watching the video . . . at that point I have plenty of video games that give that experience but I understand not everyone plays video games. Personally I don't see the point of converting shooter video game experiences into a board game.
Plants v Zombies sort of which is fine for a video game but for a board game? nah not for me.

Its kind of crazy if you backed this on Kickstarter, the price is insane and you are getting it like a year from now. Six months is pushing it but a year. Pay over a $100 now and you'll get it November 2019. Wow. Just buy a game now that you can get right away and then in a year buy this from a store. Big deal if it's not KS edition. Just mind boggling what they do these days.
You don't get the kickstarter exclusives if you don't back it now. Sometimes that's enough for people to pay in advance (was for me). While I agree, if we end up paying more for the KS then what it will cost at retail, I'll be sad. Or if they release the KS exclusives as expansions at a later date, I'll be sad.
@@zacharytresidentdigimonenj3397 The exclusives will stay exclusive. And it will be $100 at retail. You can maybe find it online for cheaper but you're still getting the value in the exclusives
AFAIK, the average Kickstarter game has 9-10 months wait, give or take depending on the size of the game.
