yea and the power rail on the otherside of that plate u put the pads on. At the opposite side of the long piece 1mm piece u have pads to on the powerrail, and mfets. u know the thickness of them? or is it putty under it? i need to replace it on mine cus it was dried and cracks all over it and it crumbled away also get random crashes on load think when something get to hot.
if u know thickness of all pads. and if powerrail got pads or thermalputty pls let me know

What happens if I use 1.5mm for both?

@@FlyLikeAliG6 It is nto recommended. Temps can be higher

@@FlyLikeAliG6If you use the wrong size you can mess the card up. The areas that needed to be 1mm but applied 1.5mm will stick up higher and then all the 1.5mm pads will not touch so thermals would be bad and or you could damage the card in the long run. Sometimes you can take the 1.5mm and flatten them down to 1mm with a pasta hand roller machine or even a roller pin to squeeze them down. Not suggested unless you can assure the sizes are correct.

@@FlyLikeAliG6I’ve needed to get 1.25mm pads and used 1.5mm and rolled them about 4-6 times to get the 1.25mm. If you do that make sure to take your time. Thermal pads are important and I get GPU’s for repair in my shop specifically because people use the wrong sizes and caused memory chips to fail and or the cards just shut down after a high load. If the pads are too thick they can also not let the GPU die get direct contact with the cooler. There’s needs to be almost no space between the GPU heat sink and GPU die or temps will be too high. That will limit your performance or worst yet cook your GPU.
