Saw Des at The Playhouse, Weston-super-Mare this afternoon. He is as charismatic, charming and cheekily self-deprecating as ever he was. And the twinkle in his eyes is still as bright.
What a fun guy he is, we were on the island of Jersey in summer season 1977, Des at the Opera House I was at Fort Regent and was just starting out in showbiz and he took the time to advise me on routines etc.
Handsome man you are des. Spark in your eye and such a great voice. I was singing away with you then xx God bless you I was thinking of my mum and dad God rest there souls. Good times xx
Man im so glad he is doing well.. 86 and he looks like a 50 year old lol. I remember being really young and watching Take your pick at my grandparents who are now gone :( but it's so nice to see Des's cheery face still, bring back some fond memories.
Class act my partners called caroline des singing her name made my day what a beatiful singer rest in peace des what about the palladium next to Bruce 👏👏👏👏
I'm sure this is what Neil Diamond had in mind when he wrote the song, however, it took Des to put the final piece of the puzzle into play and create the masterpiece! Utter legend!
Just been reading his autobiography..bananas Can't fly..Interesting and obviously determined to get to the Top...Deserved to as well ..The English Dean Martin.
Always remained a nice guy in a very tough business...I'd like to see him take it easy as he looks pretty tired, but if he feels like doing it then why not?
i far from hope that hes not un okay, because he questionably looks impartial. hes the best tiddly winker this side of shagsville!! if hes out, then blame the winker raising allegations that dezzer is tiddling!! dear oh dear! :((
'Brilliant' A true & genuine talent. Impossible to replace. An all round entertainer of the old school.
