Wow this is somewhat idiotic. They are giving away specific information on where an endangered and frequently poached snake is. Then they interview a 12 year old who has no idea what he is talking about?

This isn't the first time the news screwed this type of stuff up. I saw a segment where they misidentified a gopher snake as a "Rattlesnake that almost killed a boy".

This kind of makes me sick. The kid on the dirtbike saying how Rattlesnakes can jump is pretty much the height of stupidity, misinformation and fear. These snakes play an important role in our eco system and are there for a reason. Be careful but also be informed. Almost 100% of the time they just want to get away from you or don't care about you at all.

They play no use in the "ecosystem". Snakes and all animals should be killed. There a danger to each other and even humans

I lived in South Jersey for over 30 years and currently live in Florida. I'm out there more then anyone as i do tons of walking because I am unable to afford money on buses and cars. and rattle snakes are not that rare however they will not go up to humans so I don't understand why is police involved? Just dont walk in wooded areas or areas where you cant see. Just leave them alone and matter fact just stay in the cities. Stop building homes near wild areas. South jersey wildlife is nearly dead and its a very boring state cuz of it. Same goes with Florida, gators almost never come to humans, many residents know how to live with gators as they are not a threat to humans, gators will not go up to you and attack you but tourism, over development and billionaires are the problem. Seriously all our creatures are going extinct and this world is no fun anymore, don't like animals then stay in the city.

Not only are they slow to reproduce, but they are also constantly being killed because of news, such as this, invoking fear into people. Also, great idea in telling collectors and poachers exactly where to look to find these poor snakes.

especially here in jersey. Poaching is horrible here on the east coast. The pine barrens get poached really badly.

Chrissy and Paulie would've had to look out for this snake if they brought the Russian out there in the summer instead of winter.
