That was a nice simple version of bench sync, They are 'three jet' carbs. 35 is pilot or slow speed/idle, 68 is primary main jet, 100 secondary main jet. The primary main has a drilling to the pilot jet which is why it has screw in blanking plug (the alloy washer is for vacuum plug) It's very easy to get bike running really well on pilot and primary, people start having problems with the secondary main jets when they fit 'pods' Around 4~4,500 rpm slide starts to lift and the secondary main jet starts delivering fuel. Honda factory manual isn't always correct as the '100' may be a 105 or 110, updates were only in dealer service bulletins which, in our shop, often 'went missing' within a week or two (or sometimes the stores guy opened mail and tossed them straight in the trash)
Make sure to put compressed air through the 3 jets below diaphragm and in the bore by the throttle slide run a guitar cable through and compressed air. Many folks forget these and it affects idle…
Marvel Mystery Oil works good in the cylinders too. I learning a lot from your channel.Invest in a set of K and N reusable filters if you're gonna keep the bike.
Brilliant videos, you have the best delivery i have ever seen. Was laughing my socks when you dissed the "techno nerds" absolutely priceless and very refreshing. Ever thought of a career in stand up comedy?
so cool that you're so excited about the bike! I have a 1975 CL360. Fixing up the carbs now. Choke doesn't do anything. Neither do the air mixture screws. Know why?
Good stuff Amigo! BERRYMANS B-12 absolute strongest and best for carb work. Thanks for taking time to share your tricks- only one I'd likely pass on was tapping the needle jet, I think I would have let Berrymans do its thing for a day or so- but does take longer. Thanks again
rusteration not restoration....clean is not necessarily necessary...not my cup of tea but whatever floats your boat......love the technical jargon......ie thingamaboob, dojiggy, etc.....well done KY
Nice job Benny. That type of carburetor is not my favorite. Every time I need to do one the diaphram is junk. They are not cheap either. I try to use factory parts, but when I find out factory parts are made in China, it's aftermarket here I come! For quite a while I have been doing outboard motors under 25 hp. The replacement carbs from China are so cheap and work so well I replace rather than rebuild some models. Enjoying your video, as usual. Dave
the tab is there so the float won't fall too far and cause the needle to jam open.
Makes sense

Your article on Honda twins was super helpful as well
You’re the best.Actually the best
Never been told that before but thanks! 😂

Thanks for the video! I just completed the rebuild on my 360t carbs. It was a daunting task, but this video made it a lot easier.
Glad to hear got your carbs rebuilt, these bikes are awesome!!
Very informative and interesting video. I've always loved these 360s too. Thanks for sharing this with us.
Thanks for watching, more to come on this bike!
Excellent work Sir...carry on..
Thank you! Looking forward to getting this on the road!
I only use Berryman's also.
P.S. Neat trick using the welding wire to synchronize the throttle plates.

Thanks, I believe you love these old Honda's 😂😂

Thank you! Never thought of a comedy career I better stick with old motorbike repair 😂😂
I just bought and fixed up a CB750 DHOC Nighthawk back on the road. I don't understand how the OG CB's could be better but I'm sure it's possible.

Thanks! Not sure you will just have to dig into them and see what's going on in there.
@@kentuckyyankee Where is the choke curcuit?
@@7awrence Sorry not sure it has been a while since I worked on that bike.
synchronizing them looks pretty straightforward.
Not bad, to fine tune a vacuum guage is used after it's running
I'm envious you have reached your zen....
I have? ... 😂😂

Could you please tell me what is a throttle shaft diameter?
did you ever figure out why that tab is on the float? also why don't you like ultra sonic cleaners?
ive a dented butterfly on my 360, can you change them
Yes they can be replaced
@@kentuckyyankee you are a star, wished you lived near me.
@@mphughlock 😂😂 Thanks!
My slides are about half way in the bore on my rebuilt CB360 carbs. Should they be lower at idle?
They should be nearly all the way down
You just destroyed that main needle . Dont ever never ever beat on the end of a needle like that again .
im new to the channel whats his issue with ultrasonic cleaners🤣 they make life EASYYYYYY
What liquid did you put it in oil?
Transmission fluid and diesel fuel
Would $1500 be a reasonable price to pay for one of these with 15k miles? Interested in buying one. Thanks for the videos!
Depends on condition, running, riding, everything works and looks decent then yes $1500
@@kentuckyyankee awesome thanks so much Benny!

Thank you, I can't decide how far I will go with this bike, I really like it but rarely completly restore anything.
Vapor blasting would have cleaned carb bodies much better....keep up the good work...
I agree, but I most likely won't do a full restoration and if I do I will have the other set of carbs blasted so I can keep riding 😂
If your sole purpose on earth is to get a cb360 up and running, I suggest you take your time! 😏
I may have exaggerated a bit.....😐
