In the book it states that the imprinting doesnt have to be sexual or intimate, not right away at least they can be a protector/friend/brother whatever the imprintee needs them to be at that time, maybe when Renesmee is older they will get serious but until then its just innocent love and protection as a friend/protector.
Jacob isn't the only wolf to imprint on a child, in the scene when the pack is on the beach with their imprints and jacob is being all mopey, you can see Quil (one of the pack) with a 2 year old human child who he imprinted on.
Its innocent until the children are older but if they never see their imprinters in a romantic way then nothing will ever happen beyond friendship.
Everyone’s reactions when Renesmee breaks Bella’s back and then seeing Bryce holding onto his lower back 33:57 -- priceless! 😂

Alice is the main thing that the volturi want to add to their coven. Her ability to see the future is something Aro has never encountered and he’s never wanted anything more than her. Edward and Bella are also highly coveted but the main one he wants is Alice. He also knows they will never choose to join them as long as their family still lives, so at this point he’s looking for any excuse to destroy the rest of the cullens.

Eddie had black eyes when they first met which meant he was hungry. Yellow eyes means they aren't hungry/fed on animals. Red eyes means they've fed on human blood, but in the case of newborns their human blood still in their system is why their eyes are red and why they're super strong.
The whole strength thing still makes zero sense.
@@tophers3756 the only way it makes sense to me is that the muscle and tissue of Bella’s vampire body would still be surrounded and interwoven with the very thing that makes them stronger human blood, so it’s a boost? Still a huge stretch but these are my thoughts 😮💨

its done so horribly😭 they could've had it as a family bond, she's literally a baby when he imprints. It would've been wholesome if they grew into an older brother + young sis bond, or even if he was portrayed as a second father figure. but nope. they made it romantic🤮

Yes imprinting is usually for partnerships and ends up romantic in almost all cases. Stephanie Meyers tried to go around it by saying the relationship changes depending on the “Imprintee”…but it’s def still kind of grooming-ish and weird when it’s done on children for sure. Just one of the many problems with Stephanie’s jacked up mind 😂
Yeah and honestly I feel like the movies double down on the romantic aspect with certain things in part 2 including a particular line from Jacob that always gives me the ick (don't wanna say much cuz spoilers)
also i feel like so many ppl didn’t notice that when the wolf pack is on the beach and jacob and leah are looking at the happy imprinted couples, it shows quil (i think) w his imprintee and it’s a small child 🤢
@@starheartskull15 Oh yeah I remember that from the books. That's what Meyers tried to use as the basis for the "non-romantic" imprinting to try and explain away Jacob imprinting on Renesmee later but it totally didn't work lol
The whole point of imprinting is finding the most suitable person to carry their wolf genes to the next generation so any other explanation than it being romantic is just to save ass 😀 Although, it doesn't have to be romantic or lovey dovey to knock someone up so there is that I guess..

@@ag.f8823 I mean according to the lore of the book, it's not romantic until she is of age. And Edward was romantically pursuing a minor at his big age of 100something. I'm Team Edward, but I honestly think it's kind of hypocritical when people don't see that as problematic. Obviously the way imprinting is portrayed is icky af but if you focus on the lore it's actually kind of sweet (or if anything actually worse for the wolves because the imprintee can choose to walk away or not accept the imprinter, the imprinter has no choice)

Jasper’s large lack of control compared to the others is partially because he’s the Cullen newest to the animal diet but it’s more so because of his power. He feels other’s emotions which means that he feels his own hunger along with the hunger of all of the other vampires in his vicinity at any given moment, making him constantly 5 times as hungry as the others.

I feel like that is also why he is always so stiff or "looks like he's in pain". He is constantly bombarded by everyone's feelings. Vampire hunger, fear, happiness, anxiety, anger. He feels everything of everyone around him. Can you imagine going to high school for him? Yikes...
Where did they get that Edward didn’t enjoy the sex? He very much did. He just didn’t want to do it again while Bella was human, because he didn’t want to accidentally hurt her.

When I went to the midnight showing, the scene in which Jacob goes to kill Renesmee, the tension in the theater was so high. Everyone was SO QUIET you could have heard a pin drop!

I think Zuff is intentionally forgetting one of the biggest and most logical reason why she wants to become a vampire. The Volturi knows that she’s aware of vampires’ existence and the only reason they haven’t killed her to keep that secret safe is cause the Cullens promised to turn her. Ever since New Moon there’s no ending that involves her choosing Jacob or staying human without the Volturi taking her out.
Do you all remember in the last movie? They said that the Alpha orders get obeyed whether they want to or not so Jake just stood up to the alpha and broke that control

I really like in the book how Edward gently closed his hand on a metal flower and reduced it to a clump of metal and repeated it gently and it was dust. This showed Edward's strength and how incredibly gentle he had to be with Bella at all times. I wish they had included this because it explains how Bella ended up bruised, how incredibly careful Edward had to have been for that to be the only result and Jacobs frantic fear of "you'll kill her!"
it would be amazing if you guys watched to interview with the vampire, the movie and the new series, both are so good and basically the mother of the twilight saga lol

Jake is whatever Renesmee needs, which is just protector & friend until she is older & since she isn't a wolf of she doesn't want him romantically he will continue being that for her.
Cannot wait for the part 2 reactions. The second part is my favorite movie. Also wolves don't get to choose who they imprint on and its not always romantic. In the books Embry (another wolf) imprints on a toddler and like Jake says its that you would be anything they need a friend a brother a protector.

Her extreme self-centeredness is why she is actually one of the villains of the series even though they try not to portray it that way.

Imprinting isn’t sexual/romantic. Everyone always makes it so weird. It’s just unconditional love and that love changes over time.
Lol haven’t found anyone who’s explained this so I feel I must: Edward had to bite through Bella’s placenta to get the baby out cos that shit was hard as a rock. The books give more way to the vamp physiology but essentially it’s like everything that could be “liquid” I guess 🥴 in the body is vamp venom. So he basically has vamp venom semen and that’s why they can still impregnate people.

Stephanie does a very good job in her books of explaining that the purpose of imprinting is not necessarily sexual, and there is even another wolf in the pack who imprints on a girl who is elementary age while he is into his tweens. His care of her is seen as an older brother/protector while she is a young girl and never eluded to in a sexual manor. Because the connection is focused on the romance inherent in the relationship.
Bryce, Rob, I gotta applaud you both. I have seen quite a few of your reactions, and felt the tension in the air through some of your more uncomfortable moments. I can understand that feeling on a personal level, and relate all too well. Your incredible restraint and dedication is a testament to your friendship. Very fine qualities make for fine men.
Zach, I know ya can't always help it bud, and that's ok because you are magnificent in your own right and do bring a wonderful sense of Comedy to the team. I am eager to finish Pt2 with you guys. Hope it comes very soon ^,^

The reason Jacob was upset is the same reason Edward didn’t want to even kiss her in the first movie. He’s way too strong and could possibly hurt her to death if they get too intimate.
Imprinting isn’t always romantic but it can be. And it just happens they don’t choose it. 😊
They wanted Edward and Alice. And then at the end of the last movie he realized Bella was super powerful and then he switched from wanting Alice the most to wanting Bella.

I love how I'm in agreement with y'all about 3 major points: first, this movie really does have such a weird plot!! Basically, sex and a monster baby?? Then, Bella goes into labor and it turns into a full on freaking horror film. The back breaking will always get me! And thirdly, hell yes the imprinting is so fucking weird! Can't wait to see your reaction to the last movie!

He explains it as he imprints on Renesmee as a baby, too. A wolf becomes whatever their imprintee needs. A lover, a friend, a protector, etc. So while she's still growing up, he's just going to be in her life as a friend and protector. So no one has to worry about him trying to smooch an infant, lmaooo

I'm glad you liked it more than I thought since part 1 is the slower of the two. More crazy tho! I'm sure someone has explained it already but imprinting basically means the purest love, you'd give up everything you are to be what your person needs you to be. This does mean they end up being life partners in romantic sense too. However if you imprint on a kid you start as being a brotherly figure and there's no romance until the kid is old enough and is the first to initiate it. It's supposed to be sweet and innocent but I get how it can feel weird😂 very excited to see your reaction to the last one, it's a good one and one of my favourites

Twilight was always full of red flags since the first book but Jacob being imprinted on a baby is the ultimate level of red flag.. People say the imprinting doesn't have to be romantic but the ONLY purpose of imprinting is to carry the wolf genes to the next generation, and werewolfs imprint on the most suitable person for them to deliver a baby with the strongest wolf genes.. Even if he doesn't see her that way for another seven years(!), he is just waiting to knock her up as soon as it is less inappropriate..
