Saw these guys open for Korn and fell in love with these band. They were so hated by everyone and Jimmy just fed off that negative energy. People were throwing coins on stage and he came out after the set and picked up the money.
Oh god my sides. Jimmy had so much more energy 13 years ago. His little bits in between songs and ad-libbing during the songs are just brilliant, I wish he was still as clever during shows and not so scripted.
I remember seeing this tour in Madison, WI, barely knew who MSI was, the audience booed them and threw change at them, and that is when I fell in love with them.
One of the best live bands. So happy I had the chance to see them way back in the 90s. I seen them play in front of some angry crowds. They thrived on it.
I got bored and did some research into when this show likely was. Korn didn't tour with MSI in 1999 as far as I could find, but they did in 2000 during the Sick and Twisted tour. At one point Jimmy mentioned there being a Britney Spears show the night before, looking that up I found the Oops I Did It Again tour, also in 2000. The only time during this tour that MSI was in the same area as Britney was the August 7th 2000 show when they both played California. Two towns a few hours apart. Korn and MSI played Bakersfield California that night, and Britney played Wheatland the night before. Other than that they weren't ever playing the same state one day after Britney.
small world when you randomly find comments like this on yt and they're also recent on stuff so old. i saw the skydome show in toronto and it makes sense this was in california as that was three shows out from a canadian leg of the tour, which matters because at one point in this set jimmy also mentions he has canadian money on him. there's some soccer ball banner in pt2 but its all blurry and you dont get any other shots of the venue
@@XCloak_PersonX i unironically started listening to koRn bc of an msi fan just fully expecting their first album to be regular old vibes. then i finished their first album lol. had to sit in silence for a bit after that. but yeah koRn is a worlds apart from msi from what ik abt them at least. they intersect in the "interger overflow" kinda way when you get a number high enough on a computer and it gets confused and becomes negative.

My first concert ever was MSI Staind and Korn. I was in sixth grade. That give me a dollar bit was awesome.
wow, just sixth grade? sounds like quite the memorable experience, that’s for sure! I wonder if they’ll perform any more live shows in the future, though I doubt it for the most part. jimmy is 54 now I believe, and those allegations aren’t exactly doing them any good. (especially considering the song Pantyshot…) I really hope they do another show in the future, though.
