    Thank you Jay. I have been slowly working on a custom system build for a group of people that do information intensive work along with a considerable amount of video processing and editing. Your videos have really helped put together some good ideas for the system design and how to get the most out of these for those clients. They will not be cheap systems but these people make some good coin so that is not a roadblock.

    You probably don't remember me trying to ask (Twitter is a horrible place for me to ask questions), but this answered my question on how it is you drain your loop. I guess it makes sense that you use flex tubing behind the scenes to make maintenance easier for draining the loop out without having to mess with the acrylic. I am aware that acrylic doesn't "flex", but it has to have SOME kind of elasticity before it breaks, albeit extremely minimal.
    Also... I LOVE the new PCIe cable runs. That looks WAY better than it did before.

    ***** This video is like one of those #firstworldproblems events. Your über expensive rig is getting new custom cables, but it's dusty. LOL :) My cable situation is far less neat, and my computer looks like it's wearing a sweater it's so dusty. LOL :)
    Constructive criticism, add at least an inch or so in your measurements for slack. It's better to be a little long, than short.

    I like the looks of the GPU power cables now, they definitely match the layout of the system a lot better, and to my eye, look like they take up less space because you don't see a bunch of cables because the cables for the top card hide the cables for the other two cards.
    These videos are great Jay, and you are inspiring me to save up for my own watercooling loop.

  • @zzirH4S4N
    @zzirH4S4N 9 лет назад

    About 11:00 in the the video you were talking about the cables. I think a great suggestion would be to put right angle cables there and if they look to odd then do it how it was before. The plus side to having it vertically positioned would be that you can see each individual strand and colour of cable.

    Hey Jay DEMCiflex makes a really nice filters. I bought theses two for my upcoming SMA8 build. DEMCiflex makes a custom Filter for CaseLabs 120.3 Flex-Bay and for the
    Model: DF0440 and Model: DF0367 which I was told would work on the inside of the case very easy to clean, just open case at bottom they are on magnets pop off rinse with water then slap back on and you are done. They really work and I use them on all of my H20 builds.

      Btw, one more thing *****, i think you should get some dust filters for bottom rad, top rad and front panel fans. You are lucky to live at the place like that; If you have that open air case like that in my home town, you will get double that gross dust in 1 week.

  • @ian-c.01
    @ian-c.01 9 лет назад

    Good move !
    When you said you where getting a new wiring 'harness' I got excited and pictured (not what you're thinking) one single bundle of cables with all the plugs on one end and the various headers with the other connectors on splitting off where they need to and making a car style wiring harness. I've seen it done once although it could have been done better, I do like that kind of thing.
    When it comes to cable management, being anal or OCD is best, I like straight lines that follow patterns, they emphasize the clean lines and don't distract your eye. There's nothing worse than wishing something didn't have to be that way such as PCIe power cables running down at an angle !

    I've always loved the color matching in your custom systems. Very clean as always! Would it be possible with precise measuring, to use rigid connections instead of flexible cabling? I would love the hard angles and straightness of something like pcb connections instead of flexible cable. Like the look of a custom acrylic cooling loop, but cabling. Looking forward to the rest of the vlog!

    Oh come on make videos of doing your own wires. Not having a sponsor make them for you. Para-cord is my favorite material for cable sleeves and some of the cheapest. Only draw back is the dust sticks to it a little more.
    PS. For somebody talking smack about not doing your own cables, i'm totally using EVGA's predone kit. :P

For your fans, have you looked at getting an Aquaero fan controller? You can do dome really nice fan curves with way more control than what your mobo offers. It's the best fan controller in the business period.
