      well the good thing is they didn't know any different. So life was still good, they got married, had kids, grandkids, pets, hobbies. They lived a full life. Seeing colour will be like the cherry on the cake, giving them something they can get endless joy from later in life, while the rest of us just take it for granted.

      This is a good lesson to learn from others. When someone is experiencing intense emotion don’t make it about you. You don’t need to react. This is not your moment. Let it be. They don’t need to validate you. You don’t need to interact with them right now. Be present. Watch. Listen. Absorb. These are wonderful, magical moments in people’s lives. Use this to remember to be humble and grateful. Remember to love the ride.

      I don't think it's a male or female thing. People, in general, tend to be apologetic when they get emotional. I know that whenever I tear up in front of people (which isn't often), I have a habit of saying "I'm sorry" repeatedly because my dad used to become so frustrated with me. He'd call me things like "weak" or say I was doing it on purpose for sympathy... and this was all while I was a young child. And I'm sure he grew up with similar parenting. Emotions should be legitimized and accepted period.

    •  3 года назад +1

      @@siiiiiuu7 I understand your point. The way I put is that no one should be sorry about getting emotional, yet, probably because he never felt comfortable around people to do say, first thing that comes is "I'm sorry".
      Considering how men showing emotions is something even less welcome on most cases, it reminded of men's mental health care.

    • @viktorijazugaj7856
      @viktorijazugaj7856 4 года назад +25

      It's different for every colorblind person. If this video told us for which colors each person was blind for, you would understand exactly what is going on.
      1. They could be completely colorblind, which means they see everything in gray. Every color is in different shade of gray, dark gray, or even white for them. I have seen videos where people around them had to tell them which color is which, and they had to 'learn' about colors after seeing everything in gray.
      2. Some people are blind only for specific colors. The most common one, as far as I know, is red and green color blindness.
      3. You are also colorblind if you see colors as they usually are, but in very pale tones.
      When people recognize specific colors like in this video, they were aware of these colors before but they were in very pale tones, so they are overwhelmed when they see them all bright and 'in your face' just like we see them.
      For example, they know what red color is because they already see it, but it's very pale. After they put the glasses on they know what's red from before, but with the glasses they see the color exactly how it should be. That's how and that's why they recognize it almost immediately.
      I hope that everything I said makes sense. I'm just talking about it how the family member explained it to me after they got the enchroma glasses.

    Im so happy they get to see the world in color something we see everyday and take for granted. But when people laugh at them when they cry gets on my nerves it's they dont understand that it is an emotional raw experience they can't help to to cry. Do't make them feel embarassed

      Hard to explain - I see colors, but the red, green, brown and Mix just don't stand out. I ask my wife instead of guessing. Purple and blue are the same. I am 70 and get my glasses tomorrow, Oct.13, 2020.Then- I will Learn my colors.

    I've posted this elsewhere because it's so shocking and awful to me: 1) take the frigging glasses OUT OF THE PLASTIC and then put them back in the case! I know the givers are nervous and hopeful about the gift, but geez people!! Your laughing and pushing these people to describe what they see for YOUR benefit is so disrespectful to THEIR experience. I keep shouting, "shut the f up and let these people have their personal experience". Damn! STFU. Let THEM enjoy THEIR experience. FFS!
