His interpretations always surprise me. Of course every performer brings something new and unique to a role, but he's particularly talented at putting his personal stamp on his roles. He makes me see the characters in a new light. What a shame they didn't put him in the new Les Mis film! I only have my POTO and LM DVDs to watch him in, plus the random clips recorded at his shows on YT. But fuzzy camera recordings don't do him the least bit of justice.
i've seen it sung like Ramin did a dozen times on Broadway and the U.S. tour. it's a stylistic choice, and i personally think a wild, impassioned scream is an excellent counterpoint for a heroic, melodic "let others rise to take our place".
This is amazing. I'm seriously going to burst into tears over the fact I missed this cast. I can't get to London until summer, after the cast change either. It's horrible. :( Can anyone tell me who the Thénardiers are in this recording? Thanks. :)
wow. Ramin has really improved in the past few years. i saw him in Phantom in 2007, and thought he was just kinda okay. but now.... damn. now he might even rival John Owen Jones in my playbook.
quality is so good! can you share all the record? and can you tell me what and how you record this. your record is really a piece of art! ps. and no more squeek from Hadley, that's a good sign ^^
Could immediately identify JVJ, Marius, Cosette, Eponine, Enjolras, Javert, Thernadiers.......is this obsessive? I think, with this cast, I've seen it twice with full cast (so Liam instead of Scott) If you can, well worth it :)
In my opinion, this was Karimloo's best role. Don't ask me why, I think he just sings Valjean better than he sings any other role he plays...I think he did a perfect job
just one day more till i see this, i swear, some serious rotten fruit will be thrown if when valjean opens his mouth he isn't ramin, not after im flying to london to see this
worst 40GBP ever spent. I saw such great theater while in London however this was the exception. Ramin wasn't in and it was made much more worser because of so... even still. Yikes for this production
WOW... Ramin.. just WOW.. wish I had gotten to see this!! And Hadley.. great great job..

its strange not hearing Ramin come in with his, 'one more day before the storm', but opening the song... love him... :)
Hadley Fraser and Ramin Karimloo... you complete me :D
Ramin is an amazing Jean Valjean! I
Best cast, it's so perfect.

I think it's a great Eponine, saw her three times. Also Ramin and Hadley are awesome together.
So sad that I missed this cast! :'( thank you so much for uploading this though :)
The most perfect JVJ and Javert you will ever hear!!!!!

Oh my god, Ramin, Your voice *faints*
Eponine's voice is more suited to Elphaba (whom she has played before) but after a while in the show I got used to it and quite enjoyed her On My Own
Scott Garnham is great
i love alexia as eponine. i think she portrayed her very well.
Please excuse me while I repeat Ramin's "ONE DAY MORE" at 2:33
Over. And over. And over. Again

@phanoftheater737 i agree about Ramin, but ive seen this Eponine, and shes a black actress. she sounds different, but trust me, shes awesome. :)
Ramin has extended his contract. He will now stay in the show until March 31 instead of leaving on March 3rd.

I'm sorry, but NO ONE can sing FREEEEDOM like Ramin. And Hadley, I love you!!!!
who's eponine?
just one day more till i see this, i swear, some serious rotten fruit will be thrown if when valjean opens his mouth he isn't ramin, not after im flying to london to see this
Ramin. Thats all I can say. Anything else is pointless.
I over all love it but 'Ponine seems extra whiny it could just be me...
Burn.
This Eponine sounds kind of bad. I
