ugh every time I listen to Hadley singing a new part in Les Mis, he's just perfect. soon he'll be my dreamcast for every character: Hadley could probably play Eponine and be perfect for the part, how does he do it?
Wow 2002! I think this was the production where Hadley was the primary Marius and Ramin was his understudy, that's how they met and now they're best friends ❤️
YES! When i saw him in the movie i whispered yelled "Hadley" and went all fangirl......then i heard him sing and my heart exploded.....he was amazing in that movie!!
Seeing Hadley as Marius was absolutely amazing. He's such a talented and gorgeous man, and I have followed his career ever since. It was absolutely fantastic to go back and see him as Javert 10 years later. (and yes, having seen Hadley as Marius, it made Nick Jonas' Marius even more painful).
Well, I don't know if I qualify as an "original." I didn't know who he was prior to seeing him perform as Marius, but I was hooked following that performance. I've been a big fan ever since! I remember that as soon as I got home from our trip to London, I began scouring the internet for information about him (and let's be honest -- for pictures of him). At the time he had only one little fan site. It's cool to see what a loyal following he has garnered since then -- a well deserved following!
Let me see if I got it right, Hadley was Javert, Marius, Grantaire and the guard. Did I forget someone? I think it's time for him to play Valjean, or the Phantom
Grantaire isn't a demotion!!!!!! Killian Donelly - Enjolras at the time, Courefyrac in the 25th...same with the majority of the cast, it wasn't a demotion, it was just what suited them best at the time of the concert :) rant over (by the way, I love Adam Linstead and Hadley as Grantaire... ;) )
Hadley, is there anything at which you don't excel? this is so poignant, so beautiful in tone and expression... Aside from its perfection, one of the things I really appreciate is the absence of the "h" sound whenever a there's a pitch change on a vowel (Jonas does this a lot).
Actually, while I'm not saying anybody is wrong or anything, I actually found this video of Marc Kudisch and Seth Rudetsky to be pretty interesting; they talk some about baritone, bass, tenor and etc. So I think it's worth a view :) /watch?v=PGK-cKxjClU And you get to hear Marc sing some Ol' Man River, so that's a plus :)
No ones' better than Hadley unless it's Ramin playing all the parts. But its a shame to neglect Eddie Redmayne even though he was in that sorely casted movie. Can't help but be moved by his 'Empty Tables'.
Eddies voice was just bleah but I think that Hadley would've been better off playing Javert in the movie and letting Gareth Gates take Marius, God that would've been great
This is wonderful, but Michael Ball is all time best along with the entire cast of the 10th anniversary. Admittedly that is probably bias because I grew up on the 10th anniversary but still
Correct me please, but the Phantom and Valjean both has to be a tenor. Well I know for sure that JV is a tenor (2460-OOOOONE :D). And since HF is a baritone, although being very good, he's not suitable for those roles. That's why he has Ramin around :D

Hadley as Marius, Grantaire, Javert and Raoul
Ramin as Marius, Enjolras, Jean Valjean and Phantom
Perfect frienemies!
Can I propose a production of Les Mis with Ramin Karimloo and Hadley Fraser playing all the male parts.
Wow 2002! I think this was the production where Hadley was the primary Marius and Ramin was his understudy, that's how they met and now they're best friends ❤️
Hadley was prime Marius but wasn't Ramin Enjolras during this time ?
Ramin played Feuilly and understudied Marius and Enjolras (I know, I'm late xD)
YES! When i saw him in the movie i whispered yelled "Hadley" and went all fangirl......then i heard him sing and my heart exploded.....he was amazing in that movie!!
The best version is Hadley...hands down

Album, album, album!
I just died and went to heaven...thanks for posting!!!!!!
Yes he truly was the BEST Grantaire EVER!
@ccourfeyrac Yes thank you so much!! Been looking for Hadley!Marius for ages!
I couldn't agree more, Hadley is absolutely brilliant
SLAY HADLEY SLAY OMG😍
I got chills listening to this. He's just amazing!
It's his birthday today!! (April 21) and i am soo happy when i listen to his videos! Hadley Fraser is just so perfect in these roles :D
This is amazing!!!!!
Good lord, I love this man....:)
Gosh I love this so much
Incredible
Especially "And I can hear them now - the very words that they had sung became their last communion."
When I watched the film, his singing voice stuck out the most for me. The army guard was the best!
Wow thanks for sharing this!
:'( beautiful
HADLEY HAS THE BEST VOICE EVER
but I want to see them play all the parts!
So the guard was Hadley Fraser! Yes, when I heard him sing, I said wow, the guy has the voice!
He's probably the only one who made Grantaire a memorable character.
Oh God, the mental image of Hadley playing Éponine has kept me laughing for about five minutes straight
Oh my....I never thought I'd say this, but he gives me chills like Michael Ball does.
I understand what you're saying, but I love Grantaire so much that I'm happy Hadley played him.

I had no idea Hadley played Marius! I just thought he was Grantaire and Javert, but this is a fab Marius!x
I'd like to see him as the Phantom too, but he rocked the role of Raoul
We all know his On My Own would be killer :P

It means they ship Enjolras and Grantaire. R is Grantaires nick name.
Are you one of the original fans?? From way back when? I haven't spoken to anyone for years from back then.
exR is the romantic pairing of Enjolras and Grantaire. They're beautiful together!!!!

A 30 year old Marius and slightly-less-good Grantaire would be better than Nick Jonas. Anything would be better than Nick Jonas.
Demoted? Grantaire is a fantastic character.
I'm guessing he was too old. Also, he was quite possibly the best Grantaire in the history of Les Miserables, so there's that.
Fraser, Ball, Karimloo, and yes, even Jonas, are all good in their own way. I still think Ball's is the best though.
He had to be with Ramin for all the E/R shippers! Just kidding... sort of...
No ones' better than Hadley unless it's Ramin playing all the parts. But its a shame to neglect Eddie Redmayne even though he was in that sorely casted movie. Can't help but be moved by his 'Empty Tables'.
but then got promoted to Javert earlier this year.

hahaha. exactly! urgh. jonas urhg!!!! compared to this!?? NO.

Are you kidding? Eddie Redmayne sounded like Kermit the frog. He spent half the song crying and speak singing.
