This song always has the picture of Marty riding a skateboard behind a jeep stuck in my head.
I always picture that Ford Ranger leaving the Burger King, but it probably helps that my grandma drove a blue 86 Ranger.
I always picture Marty wearing autolaced Nike shoes or driving the Delorean
Me too. 😀👍

The 80's what a great decade, we will never have another as great. 90's was OK, good music, weird clothes. But nothing will as good as the 80's. I just wish I was 10 years older to have experienced it more then I did being born in 81.

"I was born in the wrong generation." Yeah ok dude
@Wolf Then quit pontificating over everyone else with that boomer mentality. Statistically speaking there's never been a better time to be a human being than right now. The 80's were cool but you can look at them through rose tinted goggles.
My life's motto is don't worry about or "regret " things you can't control.
@Wolf I said boomer *mentality,* not boomer age. Obviously a boomer would've lived through the 80s and not have to make the "born in the wrong generation" statement. When I said boomer mentality, I meant the ridiculous rose-tinted goggled nostalgia blind notion that all things were better "back then" and that modernity, no matter how many times it proves itself, just doesn't measure up. I replied to the comment to say what I believe, not to bash any particular individual. Not that modern life doesn't have it's problems, but if you think that culture is just hopelessly downhill from here then that doesn't help. What should we do? Ditch all our iPhones and DVD players and go back to cassetes? Would that really make the world better

Tougher than diamonds, rich like cream. Love this man!
Their early work was a little too new wave for my tastes but when Sports came out in `83, I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically.
The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost. He's been compared to Elvis Costello, but I think Huey has a far more bitter, cynical sense of humor.
Hey, Halberstram?
Yes, Allen?
Why are there copies of the Style section all over the place? Do you... Do you have a dog? A little chow or something?
No, Allen.
Is that a raincoat?
Yes, it is. In '87, Huey released this; Fore!, their most accomplished album. I think their undisputed masterpiece is "Hip To Be Square". A song so catchy, most people probably don't listen to the lyrics. But they should, because it's not just about the pleasures of conformity and the importance of trends. It's also a personal statement about the band itself. Hey, Paul!
Every Huey Lewis song, if you look hard enough, it's there. an American Psycho reference
Do ya like ice nine kills? Not really. Their early work was a little bit too scene for me but when the silver scream came out i really think they came into their own, commercially and artistically. The whole album has a refine melodic sensibility that really makes it a cut above the rest. HEY PAUL!

It's strong and it's sudden and it's cruel sometimes
But it might just save your life
That's the power of love
