Great vid! Potential video idea: I'd like to see your thoughts on high-level Zangief players, such as Itazan, Kobayan, Junior, and Snake Eyez. It could be interesting to see which of their styles is the most optimal or what similarities they have in terms of combos/setups.
I honestly don’t use crouch jab much. It’s mostly crouch light kick because it’s a faster attack. Overall, I’m enjoying Season 2 Gief but still losing to the same characters like Luke, Lily and Sim 🕹️
I don't know if this changes higher up, but in 1600 MR people seem to mostly be mashing OD DP, DI, or holding up/back dash on my block strings. So I've mostly just been doing 2LK and then delayed 2LP to catch jump/DI/back dash and then adjust accordingly. But the 2LK into 6HP is super interesting to me because a few players do love to just spam 2MK all the time. I will certainly keep that in my back pocket.
Any space left by Zangief will be punished.
