This one’s definitely on the coaches, Clemson had this in the bag and coaches found a way to screw the players who played their tails off

Good analysis...from a Nole! The clemson players gave the A+ game, coaching a C-. The team and fans were motivated.
It's good to see that "Clemsoning" is still a thing. Clemson played great despite their coaching. FSU did just enough despite being handcuffed by the refs.
Let's break this down to simple terms. Coach Swinney is paid nearly $11,000,000.00 per year. For that kind of money, the mission is simple. WIN. Period.
All told win incentives and such, it's more like $12 million I think.
When thinking about what we’re missing I think about players like Deshaun Watson who really want to win. I just don’t see that mindset of “I’m gonna get this ball in the end zone no matter how messy it looks” mindset. That’s how points are scored.

Clemson did play a magnificent game against the Noles, but for FSU to go to Death Valley and hang in there the way they did, statistically beaten and yet win the game was phenomenal and showed a ton of grit.

I think both are true. FSU played hard in a rough environment and capitalized on opportunities. They won the turnover battle and won the game. That being said this was definitely Clemsons game to lose and the coaches found a way to do just that.
@@user-dw4fg2oe7u It wasn't play calling... it was and RPO. Even a High School QB would have handed the ball off on a 3rd and 6", but he (the QB) decided to throw it, not once, but twice. He might be good one day but today he needs to be on a tight leash.

Klubnik is not improving much after 6 starts. Maybe Vizzina is the long-term option and Dabo just can't see it.
Time for Clemson to take a hard look at how much these coaches make. Mediocre results should equal mediocre pay.
I was at the game in the student section. Us students and most of the crowd gave it everything we had. Even pulled a muscle yelling the entire game. A crying shame they lost that way. But I’ll always be a tiger and I can’t wait to graduate this December from this awesome school. GO TIGERS!!
I agree. We used to find a way to win these types of games. Now, we are back to finding a way to lose. The rest of the season looks precarious.

Very frustrating loss BUT I love this team. They played their hearts out and for all the talk about transfer portal and receivers including our own fans, our guys showed up big time.
All I heard was we couldn't cover their receivers and Bell was gonna carve us up..didn't happen.
By the way FSU fans have been reacting Clemson is Still the standard. This was their superbowl and they barely win but a win is a win.
I absolutely love the young talent we have that are coming into their own. I hope we retain all of them.
It broke my heart to see the player interviews especially XT. He was awesome..got held a bunch with no calls. Everyone predicting a FSU blowout was dead wrong.

Cades getting better as so is the whole team which is all we can hope for. Progression is progress. We lost oh well it hurts, but im just happy the offense is finding its rhythm again. It was a fun game to watch.
Look bro I'm a diehard FSU fan and I'm probably 1 of a select few FSU fans that doesn't absolutely hate Clemson football!! Y'all's problem isn't talent or assistant coaching. Y'all's problem is that Dabo Sweeney over the past 5 years has gradually let his ego override his coaching!! That man seems like he truly believes he's going to win games just because it's Clemson!!! Dabo Swinney has become a problem for you guys just like Jimbo Fisher became for us after our 2013 season!! YOU GUYS HAVE BEEN FALLING OFF BECAUSE OF HIM!!! Clemson’s loss to the Noles at home correlates with ND’s loss to OSU at home.
Both Clemson and ND outplayed their opponents and lost in a heartbreaking way at the very end of the game.
Both fan bases left their respective stadiums absolutely crushed and demoralized.
Anyway, you never know where your season’s going to take you.

Obviously, the Clemson/Noles game was a far higher scoring game, but Clemson/flst was a shootout while ND/OSU was a defensive slugfest
We no longer win these type of games because we don't have enough talented seniors sticking around. It is a new way. It is frustrating. Fumble for TD was a heart wrenching, but still, a descent kicker would have won the game for us.

Great analysis, and this coming from a Noles fan. I feel some of your same frustrations. FSU had a couple of plays from the last couple of games that were very successful, but were never called in this game. FSU has a lot more work to do as evidenced by almost losing two games in a row now to unranked teams. Duke, Syracuse, Miami, and Florida (in the Swamp) will surely be no cakewalks. If I was a betting man, I would sadly have to say FSU will lose at least one of these games, maybe two.

I am experiencing a lesser version of the same with Bama.
Defense played great, our offense still at times looks flat. We need to get back to playing like we did under Chad Morris. We have a dynamic QB and need to get him in the mix like we used Watson. Dabo needs to figure it out if he wants to keep recruiting at a high level. I love my tigers, but dabo needs to iron some things out.
Dabo UNRANKED Swinney built this program and now he has killed it, six losses this season, our fall is unprecedented. In Athens or Tuscaloosa a private meeting would be held TODAY and all this would be fixed, not at Clemson sadly.

Yep, FSU only had 22 yards rushing and played one of the worst games of the season WHILE Clemson played their best game of the season. If FSU would have played to their potential, it would have been 2013 (remember that game?) all over again.
All you hear, FSU has lost 7 in a row. FSU beat Clemson 11 straight and 15 out of the first 20! FSU is 21-15 against CU! WE OWN THE ACC! 31-24

Future looks great. We have definitely found our other WR in Brown. He is a problem. The scoop an score hurt bad really bad. It sucked momentum away from us. Congrats to fsu. Our offense is going to be a THREAT next year. I see either mafah or ship coming back. I agree DaBo should of went for it at the end of the game instead of kicking a fg. I did see great things from Cade though he settled down sn through darts while getting rocked. Stellato looked good also

I agree...the team took the step they usually take every year...somehow Dabo need to get this team ready game 1 not game 4...Cade looks like a D1 QB now...he stood strong in the pocket and made some very good throws. Although, Cade made some poor decisions at the end of the game...I blame it on his coaches not having him prepared...you must rep these scenarios in practice at the end of practice when the kids are physically and mentally tired...and Wes made some rookie decisions with prevent defense against a veteran QB...something you can't do ever...I see this team going undefeated going forward and yes... Dabo is the head coach so I will blame it on him...this game should have never gotten into OT....just poor play calling and execution at the end of the game...should have stayed aggressive and scored...don't worry about the clock...

Was out in Clemson last night, talked to several fans, it’s hilarious. So many people think Clemson is supposed to win a national title every year. They think they are the other Alabama. Reality is kicking yalls ass.

Mafah has always been the best RB but the boneheaded plays are stacking up. How many downs are we going to waste against good competition with attempting to run Shipley up the gut? Tyler Brown and Antonio are your only DAWGS at receiver but I have my eye on Stellato. Wes needs his ass whooped not blitzing Travis before the half and handing them points. 🎯 re end of game clock/TO management. Re key stats, FSU slightly outgained Clemson on a per play basis. It was an ugly game. Someone had to win. For almost a decade, Clemson won a statistically unlikely number of 1- score games. What we saw was regression to the mean
