Helpful review. I also have a Typhoon II as a get home bag. Mainly just stays in my trunk. Really like the Typhoon but I agree a little uncomfortable for a bigger frame person. Straps are a little short for me. However it is not very heavy so works ok. That said I think this Riftpoint is a nice upgrade and I may get one. I think I would attached the AGR water bottle holder on one side and the AGR DEP pouch on the other side. Really appreciate your sharing your careful insight into this bag.
I have the typhoon II and I'm considering this one. It's just a bit bigger and it's got all the new modern features. I do miss the small barnacle sized pocket and flashlight holder from the typhoon. I know you can add them, but detachable pockets just aren't the same as built in ones.
Good review. I would love to see a comparison to the Vanquest Katara 16. I currently use the Maxpedition Edgepeak for work EDC, but I find it uncomfortable.
Great review. Love the look of this new Maxpedition pack. Funny I came across this as I was just working on a very similar style pack design although not as detailed. I appreciate the water hole grommet suggestion. Do you think a bungee system across the front would work with the pockets underneath? Or would it just get in the way? Thanks!

So which one is better for daily use. The typhoon or the riftpoint?
Loving the new looks from maxpedition.

Nice pack. Love maxpedition stuff. This looks to be perfect for a backwoods day trip.
Great review and is it the same size or some ways similar to the PYGMY FALCON II?
What is the name on the Accessory you have inside the pack
This looks like a perfect day pack, thanks for the vid.

Love the pack.... but for us outside USA... not affordable...due to exchange rate and import taxes etc... :-(

What’s the small orange bag you keep in the front pocket? Great little bag for your survival kit.
