Few points: 1) You could have build a chair to recharge. Even if it's an enemy battery, you can use it. And even power your machines from it. 2) Start a base from the wreck. Leave the battery intact, build a connection to a large grid and go on. 3) In flight don't turn off your jetpack, turn off dampeners (turn on for landing). This way you can stay in air longer and go further. 4) You can slow an enemy vehicle by adding batteries. Just add unbuilt blocks until it stops.
Grind down windows, use girders to produce a wind turbine on a separate grid next to the big wreck, and build a small seat on the wind turbine grid, free energy recharges for your suit.
@@PsychoTheBear13 Saw that you finally got that rogue ship down. I would have let AI take it down but that would have made for less nail biting viewing. 😉
I actually tried that (Shh, don’t tell anyone that I reloaded a save 😆) and the blasted AI used up all the ammo too fast. But then, I didn’t do much better. Haha
Ouch! :( grind down something you could have flown back to base - whats next shooting the large hydrogen tank and blowing up the other wreck?. use a landing gear and piston to raise the small wreck up, rebuild the rover into the battery's end (solve power issue) dismantle the rest for parts. Care full with remote block cut around it to free it (depending on settings grid might explode when grinding it) between the 2 wrecks you should be able to make something nice small grid /large grid - note early game carry 20 interior plate to build seats on unknown signals battery for roam charging (remember to tur it on as off by default), less trips back to charge.
Yes! I wish I could have done that. If you are talking about the small ship I was chasing around, I unfortunately ground down 2 of the power cells in the battery so it was unusable since I didn’t have a way yet to make new power cells. Can’t work a piston for the same reason. I was so mad at myself when I saw the missing power cells. 😆. Good idea with using the unknown signals as mobile charging stations!
@Psycho the Bear - this may be handy for you... Unknown signals have a unique grid ID, and will harmlessly explode after a set time. But if you can separate a block, like a battery, it gets its own ID and won't explode, and you can still grind down the rest before it does. You can separate it by careful grinding, or by using the grinder's Detatch mode from the Advanced Welding mod. You can then merge the battery to another grid, or use a Weld Pad, also from the Advanced Welding mod. Credit to Ryoden Shipwright for showing the battery separation trick.
There is another trick for the starting vehicles and signals. Check how many blocks in the grid, add a bigger number of blocks and sever the connection. The ID will be passed to the severed piece
Haha. I love it. Thanks for watching. The game is Space Engineers. Hopefully I will have a breakthrough soon so I can get to more of the Engineering part and less of the searching for resources! Although you’re always looking for resources in this game.
Yes! Those are some good mods. Thanks for the suggestion. In my opinion, I sometimes find the limitations of a game to be the some of what makes it interesting and I try to limit my use of mods with most of what I play.
You have power packs, you don't need to return for power, right? NVM, you used them. Can't you build off the battery on that first ship wreck and then just grind everything off you don't need.
Yes! I would have used the battery except that in all my chasing of the ship I ground down a couple of the power cells and I don’t have a way to replace them yet. 😭
I really need to put the list in the description, don’t I? I am using Sneaky Sounds and then a group of mods to add the NPC stations and ships: Modular Encounters System, Independent Contractors, Imber Corporation, and Reavers.

That’s the plan, however there is still a hostile ship flying overhead…

Enjoying the narrative play, interested in what you nake of the 2 wrecks, hooe you keep going.
Thank you I just posted the next video, and I’m really loving this play through. I’m glad to hear you are enjoying it too!

@@Iklary I wasn't positive that would work, but it makes perfect sense. Love it.
Great tip! Thanks!
awesome 2 wrecks for salvage or maybe you can sell the parts enjoying this series
Loving the series, keep going!
Thanks! Hopefully I can have a production breakthrough soon!
So this series popped up in my feed (ty great algorithm) and I'm hooked, hope you'll keep it up! Earned you another sub 😊
Wow. Thank you so much! I’m si happy you are enjoying it!
keep it going, i like it.
Thanks! I’m having a lot of fun with it.
Awesome, another video. I hope you have trash cleanup off.
Thank you! And good point. I think I have trash cleanup off, but I’m not positive. I need to check to be sure!
I have no idea what game this is and who u are but....let me tell you..i was freakin *INVESTED* in you wrangling that probe. 😂😂

Nothing look like space
Watch the series cinematic trailer to see some of the space part. I crashed on the planet for now but I am trying to return to space!
improvised experimentation, advanced welding- detaching and attaching blocks and build vision would be valuable mods at this stage.

Switch your Dampeners off for more flight time with your Hydrogen
That could work too, currently I am just turning the jet pack on and off instead of the dampers.
In concidering the flight difference, your not burning braking fuel to make the little jumps.
Good point
Note your lossing power because you laft your light on
Good point. I do need to watch my light usage better when I have limited power.
