I think that's the first thing that I've seen you enjoy for a while.😋 I suppose, once you bulk it out with some spuds, veg or bread, it'll serve two, but just as a bowl of casserole, nah that's one serving!
Hi gaz, my wife and i went the fish and chip shop in arnside after watching your video, and it was brilliant. we travelled from horsham ( near Brighton) we love your channel and have been watching from the beginning. Keep up the good work 👍👍
Looks OK, and yes, you could make it at home if you're fit to do so, but you'd have to get a big piece of pork to get it so tender and rich, which means batch cooking. The price is a bit steep, but even if you added potatoes and vegetables, it would still be cheaper than a fast food takeaway. Like you, though I don't think it's a two person portion. Great review, Gareth, and I'm sure people who watch you know how much you appreciate them, I do. All the best Mate.
Looks fine, Gareth, perfect with mash and peas as you said. Glad you enjoyed it, even though I prefer a homemade casserole, don't we all? Have a wonderful weekend, mate!
I wouldnt pay that for that pitiful portion! I love my slow cooker. Chuck everything in and leave it! Makes enough for 2 days and i can freeze a portion too. ❤
You might think it a pitiful portion, but dont forget there are elderly and disabled people who cant cook for themselves, who rely on this type of food.
I think I'd just buy an Aldi portion of diced pork and brown it with onion before chucking it into a slow cooker with a couple of handfuls of frozen mixed veg and a jug of gravy then just leave it until its cooked m8
the serving suggestions really are just a result of the traffic light system. The regulations made it so that if they made most food "one serving" per pack then the lights on the front would all be red. And so because the traffic light system regulations allow them to do it "per portion", they all just say a meal is at least two servings... The whole thing is silly.
Best thing you can use slow cooker for ,real mushy peas ,the hard ones with the sodium tablets ,they come out a treat ,then pot them up ,freeze them .🙌
Didn't look much there fr £4 though. A pork medallion is 69p in Lidl( if you buy 10) I reckon you could knock up a good casserole with a couple of medallions and the veg plus a few herbs/spices and an OXO cube.
Looks good, though agree portions are a bit miserly if serving 2. But can pimp it up with a load of mash & veg 😋.... completely unrelated, Aldi have released Christmas Eggs. Yep, choc easter eggs in Christmas theme-ish packaging 😂 couldn't make it up🤦♂️
Great review Gareth mate. Far too expensive for so little even though it looks good. I would rather make my own in my croc pot or slow cooker. I have just done a batch of sausage casserole.
No comparison to a home-made stew and dumplings. I regret not cooking one this morning in the slow cooker now. Ah well maybe I will pop out early tomorrow and get the ingredients
Myself, and i am sure many others appreciate you making these vlogs Gareth. They are informative, interesting and have your touch of humour added to them. Thank you.
Hey BFG Fray Bentos has some new meals in a bag out at B and M. They look like microwave rice bags but have either pasta and sauce or a Chicken Tikka for 2 quid each. Just thought you might want to give them a try.
Whilst this looks okay for what it is I feel this is something you could easily do yourself but 10 times better with all the sides at the same time. Def feeling the mash and peas was thinking it before you said it lol! Maybe not a Yorkshire though. Looks alright though 👍
Definitely needs some mash with this, a big dollop and make a well in the middle and pour this in. It does look tasty this Gaz, worth a pop, with mash it’ll serve 2 easily. I think I’ve been watching you since 6000 odd subscribers. I remember saying you sound local to me 😂 75 miles away isn’t that far 😂 All the best and thanks for the laughs you give us, and your honesty. Plus you reply to every comment still. 👍🏼🇬🇧🇬🇧
Looks nice, bit mean with the leeks and carrots, but a sweetness in a savoury dish😵💫!!! I like my casseroles savoury! Jury's out because of the sweetness you describe. Might give it a try! But it's got to be roasties, not chips!!!😆😆😆 Chips have their place and I do like chips (aka a Glasgow salad!). Anyway I recommend the beef bourguignon from Tesco! Really nice 👍
Good Day Gareth, Nice review looks good, I have a habit of putting Hot Sauce into Foods like that to give them a Kick. I found what seems to be new actually it may not be It's Heinz Big Soup. its a cross between soup and a stew and costs between €2.00 and €2.50 here. I hit it with some Tabasco sauce and i find it handy for a Quick Lunch
HI good video I suppose you can do what you want with that one example is big Yorkshire pudding pour it in have the roast spuds on the side stay strong 👍👍👌👌
Nutrition geek says those stats are great except for the sugar which sounds like less could have been used. Cabbage, leek and baby spuds for one though. Is Henderson's a northern Worcester Sauce? I'd stir some mustard into the sauce.
I make my own lobby/ stew with home made dumplins for about £7..Slow cooker full with fresh, carrots, onion, tatters, parsnip, beef stew, herbs..Lovley!🥕🧅🌽🥔🥕😁
No way would that serve 2. Just about serves 1 lol. Needs Dumplins or mash or both. It does look nice though. Have to try it as tis the season for Stewes and Slow Cooker to be dusted off. Great video. Keep them coming....
ah, a little 'Lean Back of Pleasure', so it's Good, but not Brilliant. I knew it when I saw the Ingredients. I do have Hendersons Relish too. you could put Mash on it, and have a Pork shepherds Pie.
Looks good Gaz but at £3.99 bit dear for so little, as for your comments on youir loyal views, it as been my pleasure to have watch you torment yourself with an array of discusting flavors on our behalf all these years😂😂😂
Looks ok. Be nice with a jacket spud or mash. As for your ladybird I've had loads coming in the windows. Driving me mad as I love having my windows open 😒 they are trying to come in for the window
That looks a proper winter warmer! A bit of mash on the side would be lovely. Thank you Gareth 👍
Absolutely mashed potatoes and peas
I think that's the first thing that I've seen you enjoy for a while.😋 I suppose, once you bulk it out with some spuds, veg or bread, it'll serve two, but just as a bowl of casserole, nah that's one serving!
Thanks for the tips!
That does look good. I'd have it with mash potato

I'd never buy it in the first place !

review & thanks for sharing Gareth 😊👍🥘

I’m still out here watching you Gareth, you’re looking well, thanks your valued opinions on the food that comes your way. Take care.
I appreciate that!

Thanks Frank 👍 you too pal.
Red wine will always include Sulphides as it's part of the preservation in these days of plastic stoppers rather than corks.
Everything tastes great with Hendersons relish
Baked potato, carrots, cabbage. Crusty Bread and butter maybe instead of the potato
Great review really enjoyed

You're welcome
Yum! Looks delish Gaz. Not keen on sweet myself, I prefer salty if anything but it does look good. Thanks for another great review.
You're welcome
I would love some babbies with chilly sauce. Char Sui Pork is my favorite as it should be dry . I have never tasted stewed pork only beef.
Hope you enjoy
That would go well in a big Yorkshire pudding like a toad in the hole 👍❤️💛💚
Worth the money , glad you enjoyed it. Wether the food is good or bad, to taste it Gareths the man . All the very best Tim. 😅
Cheers Tim
I too thought boil in bag, you could do that and add a pouch of Uncle Ben's or similar
Hendo's, got a bottle in my fridge, good video as usual, Gareth, I joined when you had just under 20,000 subscribers

Thanks for the info
Looks decent, more like a generous portion for one not two. I'd personally have it with rice. Aldi is always good grub.
We appreciate u too👍
You're welcome 😊
Serve two? With lots of extra veg and some spuds included maybe?.......

No problem 👍

Tried it didn't like it could taste herbs strong but then I don't like herbs lol each to their own xx
Try the adi Chicken casserole in dumplings from Aldi yummy xx
Love dumplings 😋
Very small portions for TWO people

Serves 2 pygmies
Share it?????????????? For 2---aye right. A touch of mustard mixed in would zing it up a tad.
It looks good hope you’re well
Thank you! You too!
I was going to say it needs some Hendos to improve it, but its gone missing from the shelf
Looks a bit like scouse , my favourite meal ever 😂
Lovely review. Gareth... I'm of to Aldi tomorrow....
Henderson Relish 👍🧡 looked ok too.
One tiny onion between two,…..oooooh that’s decadence for ya!
Don’t eat it all at once! Please Sir, can I have some more!😢
ah, a little 'Lean Back of Pleasure', so it's Good, but not Brilliant. I knew it when I saw the Ingredients. I do have Hendersons Relish too. you could put Mash on it, and have a Pork shepherds Pie.

Not everyone can cook like me ready meals easy
Definitely needs a large portion of Mash & Peas with it. Not a sharer though.
I definitely don't see two portions there 😂
Definitely mash peas and crusty bread and butter.
Nice with rice… 👍
Beautiful video pal 👍🏻
Cheers pal 👍
I know some people are just plain greedy but I think that is only for two if potatoes and veg and a dumpling served with it.
I'd chuck a couple of dumplings in that, not a sharer sorry 😂
Definitely need dumplings James. Hope your well pal 👍
@@BaldFoodieGuythanks mate, not too bad just lately....feeling hungry now lol! 😅
@@luvuforeverjames haha 😄

serves 2. Picture on front has 2 full plates.
Reality, Looks like a side dish/soup starter
for 2 people? it's barly enough for one, I bet it's nice poured over a plate of chips or a massive pile of buttery mash
Sounds tasty, Gareth 😊
bita tiger bread to dip in...... bosh
Well mate that is not enough for 2 maybe a meal for 1 😂😂

Looks the same as it goes in, and as it comes out.
I would be happier at £2.99, quite small even if it's good. Still got to cook something to bulk it up.

Whats with red face gaz? Hope its not what i think it is 🍺
We've decided we could eat one each 😂😂🐷🐷
£3.99 ? At least it's got some meat but too pricey for me . Thanks for the video anyways 👍

It does look reminiscent of a Ration. If it was in a drab olive coloured pouch it could well have been one!!
