    That was such a huge display of power & accuracy, not to mention fabulous cueball control. I know you always push you are a club player but these are insanely talented shots to see from "a club player". A lot of pro's would be happy to strike the ball that well!
    Even more so on slow club tables. A lot of people who view this video will not realise how much more difficult its is to inject so much action in to the white on a slow table with a ten year old cloth as opposed to a very fast championship table with fine cloth thats a few days old & heated to the perfect temp.
    I always enjoy your videos, breaks & shots alike. This however is just brilliant. Great stuff, hope to see more soon. Happy New Year to you to.

      Thanks for your view & comment Sam, always nice to hear from you. Always so positive m8, really nice of you. Really glad you enjoyed the video. I enjoy the playing shots & making the video's. If only a handful of people enjoy watching them the time to make the Video is well worth it for me :-)
      You are quite right about the table cloths etc. I used to play on a Star table as you know & you could do outrageous things with the cueball when it had newish cloth on it ! Just effortless reaction from the ball. It took me a while to rein the power down when striking the ball as I was over screwing everything initially.
      Thanks again Sam. (P.s When you going to sort a photo out, maybe some like Cbj's lol).

    Brilliant video Craig. Fantastic long potting with some great white ball positioning. Some of the shots to get on the black are sublime, like the very last shot. Stun run through is one of the hardest shots to master. You make it look simple as you do with screwing back from such distance!! You strike the ball with vicious authority and get fantastic reaction. I do remember the track from snooker programs in the late 80s I think.
    Just excellent work, great shots, effects and music. Loved it.

      Hi Robbie & Happy New Year crazy cat. Thanks for your flattering comments ! Really happy you liked the video :-)
      Been off work so had a little time on my hands, just as well took bloody ages sifting through my video footage & putting it all together ! Had too much choice tbh, started off with 18 minutes of shots & had to choose the ones I thought would be a good selection for people who play & don't play (when you have a players knowledge you obviously appreciate more aspects of the shots than non players)
      By the way I love that "Vicious Authority" comment lol. Makes me sound like a cueball killer lmao.
      There are a few good stun & screw shots in the mix, I binned about another 30 screw shots out of the equation lol. I did try to include plenty of topspin shots too just to widen the selection a bit.
      You are showing your age remembering the track m8 ! I think Snooker players still wore top hats & sat twizzling their handlebar Moustaches at that time lol.
      Thanks again Robbie.

    Wowww... loads of humdingers there! Candidate for shot of the century at 4:44. (I know you meant it ;) Sign of a an accurate ball striker when the balls go in at such speed. Liked the Joe Johnson deep screw reds, always confidence builders. Nice editing too (i know how demanding that can be). That hotshot woman sure unblocked my lugholes;)))

      @snookercardiffcraiganthony6572  10 лет назад

      Thanks mate, always appreciate your time to view my videos & your input. The 4.44 shot I was hoping to just nudge the red towards the pocket & finish on a colour, bit miffed to see it drop actually lol. The table most of the shot are on is pretty slow so you do have to time the shots quite well to get any decent action going. Yup she is a bit loud ! just thought back to ye olde snooker Tv & thought it would be a good choice. As for the editing......bloody hell this one took ages ! As you know mate it's not so bad with breaks, just tidy them up, add titles & credits & done (unless of course you are crazy enough.......I mean dedicated enough to actually trawl for refs counting that matches your break & painstakingly add them (seriously, I take my hat off to you for those video's mate) lol. Great quality on your new cam mate, bright & clear.

    Thanks Michael for your time to view & your comment, I appreciate it (can't reply directly for some reason). Lol, I don't play competitively at all tbh. I would have been bloody hopeless, never had much self belief or confidence tbh. I did ok in club matches 20 years ago but I really struggle to find any form these days even in friendly matches (Gave up for around 20 years & rarely play anyone so just not used to it anymore).
    Thanks though, very flattering. :-)

      Thanks again Michael. Don't be too hard on yourself m8, this is a very hard game that makes us all look bad on occasions ! I am sure you are not a bad player m8 & as long as you enjoy the game its great !

    Wow :-0 Great video! That is some amazing potting coupled with some top notch cueball control. you inject incredible power in to the shot. The screw sand stun run through shots are awsome and made to look ridiculously easy too. These shots are way harder to play on woolly club tables than on the super fast tables we see on Tv and exhibitions.
    I guess we expect this from top pros but not from somebody down the club. Very enjoyable :-)

    Hi Michael & thanks for your time to view & your question. No, not even close ! My highest break is 130. My highest break here on RUclips is 123. The most I have ever managed is 8 reds & 8 blacks (was really unlucky on that occasion though, finished touching a red with no shot after the 8th black !) , I found even that was really difficult ! A 147 requires incredible break-building skill which I am afraid is way beyond my meagre ability. I try to set myself constant targets, but I don't see that being possible unless I get about 200% better lol.
    Thanks again Michael :-)

    OMG. When the title said outrageous long potting i did not expect it to be an understatement! Amazing potting especially from cueing over the cushion or in the jaws of a pocket as majority of these shots are. The spin you manage to create is
    crazy! Most people cannot stop the ball from that far away let alone screw it back up the tabe. To hit the ball that hard and still retain accuracy is nuts, i am surprised you have never had the white stuck on the end of your cue hahaha. Really made me shake my head and laugh, loved it. Do you plan more Videos soon? Do I have to check or will it show me as I have subscribed?

    thanks for the comments appreciate it Stuart Bingham mark king Anthony hamilton alfie burden are regular practice partners so ur cueing and technique has to be spot on to compete and beat these guys in tough match play snooker so I'm never short of practice at that level make no mistake I had my fair share of wins however there a little bit more consistent then I am but I'm close to getting there thx!

      That is a classy field, all world class players. As I said I am a big Bingham fan, he is a class act. Anyone who can play against that sort of opposition deserves utmost respect.
      Well done Ali. Keep plugging away & keep me posted of any new achievements.

    Bloody Hell Mr flamboyant!!! your shots are that of Stephen Hendrys in the late 1980's and Alex Higgins style. Crazy and genius mixed up. Do you play amateur competitions and that?? well done

      +amarsbarr Thanks for your comments & the compliment, very nice of you to say so. I no longer play in competitive nature at all. I just love the game & try to be the best I can at it. I also do like to have a bit of fun with it (hence the snookers video, canons video etc.) Thanks again, really appreciate it.

      +amarsbarr If you click on my picture & look through my videos I do have quite a few practice breaks (3 practice tons, a 96 on a match or star table & quite a few others. More recent ones are probably best). I have a few more to upload too.......just haven't had a lot of time lately. Really hoping to do a few more shots videos & breaks in the near future too. Thanks again :-)

    • @amarsbarr
      @amarsbarr 9 лет назад

      Ok sorry I didn't realize I will check them out... What do you do when your playing or practicing and you start missing shots one after the other or you begin cueing not as well as you normally do???

    • @snookercardiffcraiganthony6572
      @snookercardiffcraiganthony6572  9 лет назад

      +amarsbarr Hahaha....the big question for all of us. That is very often for me tbh. It seems I improve.....then struggle...then improve & so on. I have a practice target of 50, I don't stop until I reach that. That may be 5 mins or 3 hours ! If I am really struggling I just try to go back to basics....try to keep more still (I don't have the stillest action lol) try to follow through properly etc. This is such a confidence game I am sure you agree........a little break or a few decent shots on the trot & all of a sudden it's all just much easier !

    what I find most interesting is you gave up for 20 years? I played to a good standard in my 20s making centuries in matches but I stopped playing for 18 years. Last year I picked up a cue again and played rubbish with a couple of buddies but I was more interested in the social and having a few beers. Something changed and I now feel more driven looking to practice at every limited opportunity though tbh, for me it's a winter sport. I put a video on my channel which was done after my first week of solo practice - miles away from you obviously but I'll put up some more as I improve this winter.

      Hi. Welcome & thanks for the view & comment. I am glad to hear that you have decided to play again because to my mind anyone talented enough to make tons in proper matches should be playing the game. Unfortunately I was never really at that level even years ago. These days I can't seem to find time to practice any where near enough to expect anything amazing. For instance I have only managed a few hours twice in the last 3 -4 weeks which even if you are a great player is not enough let alone a club player trying to improve. I do however really love the game. That is an amazing thing about this game, whatever standard it's played too by a person they still love it & crave improvement the same. I know club players who are pretty good potters etc but have done 30 years without getting near a half century ! Or people who have played 30 years & can't play a screw shot, but they still love it ! Good luck with your progress, I will be watching :-)

      Thanks again Ali for the view & comment. Wow sounds amazing, I am huge Bingham fan. I just feel he has persevered through the poorer years to become a real class act. To get close to a maximum in that sort of match against a top player is fantastic ! well done my friend. I will have a look.
      Thanks again.
