The Science of Animal Care - The Swamp Forest

How do you create the perfect hot and humid habitat for Southeast Asian crocodiles and fish?
Using the best in science and habitat design, experts from Aotearoa and around the world have been brought together to create our Swamp Forest habitat.
In the second episode in our 4-part series, we follow the design, construction and opening of this lush and immersive space. Guiding us through this episode are various experts from Auckland Zoo who, along with our skilled design and construction partners, made this dynamic vision a reality.
