I just noticed this when playing on Greenville Square but I saw a torn poster in the arcade room and it looked like Dutch from Predator. I wonder if that’s a hint for a future Predator chapter. Since we already have Alien, it would be a wasted opportunity not to have Predator later on.
I feel like that's kind of a stretch, but it would be really cool if they updated the posters in Greenville with the licenses that they have, like Hellraiser, alien, and chucky

The muscles, tactical vest, and the rifle (although it doesn’t look like an M16 like in the movie). Even if it’s not a tease on having him in the game, there’s no way the devs didn’t think about Dutch when designing that poster.
There is also "Fangs" hinting at a werewolf, another poster hinting at a vampire, and of course the undead snowcone Ice Cream based killer all coming this year. Or you know, they're just references to movies?
The term you're looking for Schmuckles is "Confirmation Bias." It's where you become convinced of something, and then see all evidence discovered as automatically supporting that theory. However, I will say, them being fans of a license is strong evidence in and of itself. I know if I were making a game, I would try to fill it with the things I love, both to bring my own spin on those things, and to share them with other audiences.
You taking the time to rectify your previous speculations is much appreciated. Leaks are a very serious matter and they hurt a lot of our colleagues. Working on something for months and preparing the perfect way to present that content is a lot of work and leaks destroy all this. Speculations are absolutely fine and they are part of the fun of being excited about the future.
Makes sense they'd want to clear things up and keep up to date with rumors/leaks seeing as these types of videos are huge for building hype. I for one am excited for the future of dbd, things can only get better.

Eh... I suppose. Don't get me wrong, I am a huge ttrpg nerd, but before Critical Role and Stranger things, it had a strong but not-so-vast, cult following. But personally, although I love D&D and roleplaying games... I hate 5th Edition. And yes, I am so petty that I would rather it never get enshrined in one of my other interests, DBD. I will never play Baldur's Gate 3 for that same reason.

DnD Vecna for anniversary Dead By Daylight is so exciting! It's only disappointing to those otherwise as they hyped themselves into thinking and / or wanting the Stranger Things version, when at no point did Behaviour Interactive hint or say new content from Stranger Things would arrive as part of the Demogorgon/Steve and Nancy returning into the entitys realm.
The problem with DBD speculation is that everyone hypes up the same 4-5 series and never expects anything else. It’s good to keep an open mind or else you’ll be disappointed by everything. This community really needs to learn that.

Vecna from DnD isn't bad. I just hope we get at least some new s4 cosmetics for Steve and Nancy, along with Eddie and Robin as new legendary skins. Demoboi also deserves a new cosmetic.

They are never actually even similar to the "real" DnD lore though. Sadly it confuses people that then think mindflayers are massive mist creatures lol. Also agreed about the kills.

I guess they aren't like signature abilities, but if we were to make a killer of DND Vecna ST Vecna could easily fit into the same power set.

I’ll eat my words if proven wrong. I don’t think we’re getting DnD Vecna or Castlevania Dracula. DnD Vecna is by far one of the most powerful villains in fictional history. I can’t see them M1ing survivors and being stunned by pallets. He could enslave all the residents of the Entity’s Realm and perhaps rival the entity as he’s a multiverse level threat. As for Dracula I would feel like Behavior would make their own original Dracula since they can keep making cosmetics and use him outside of DBD like in comics, merch, and even in films.
I mean does it make sense for Sadako or Pinhead to be stunned? They’re both extremely powerful beings. You gotta remember that The Entity is essentially an eldritch god. If it wants something, it will get it. It shrank down the Armored Titan so it works within the trials. It removed a bunch of Freddy’s powers so he’d work, it can absolutely weaken Vecna to work within the confines of the realm
Dracula in Castlevania is actually almost as powerful as DnD Vecna. So the issue applies to both. However, it won't keep them from the game. BHVR just say "Entity > x and y" and the killers are in the game. They don't care about power scaling tbh.

Imagine that we get the DnD chapter... What would we get as a survivor? Somekind of adventurer, with his chainmall, thief robes or whatever? Heck, maybe a fricking elf?? Ooor maybe a DnD *Player*, who likes to cosplay? And what about the map, if we get one? Could it be some kind of enchanted forest, or castle? Or maybe they go the extra mile and we get a very upscaled version of one of those super detailed maps that the DnD players craft sometimes? With giant figurines, giant dices and all those things...
I think a player would be the coolest option. Like can you imagine someone being taken from their campaign table and feeling like they have been thrown into their game- but this time their characters abilities are real? Like someone is convinced they have been Isekai'd lol In terms of map (if we get one) a library could be cool or a part of a castle. That means we could get another castle section for Castlevania.

I am a huge fan of DND and DBD and feel like DND Vecna fits more than ST. not only is the Vecna campaign for DND releasing near the anniversary for DBD, but Gumpy even said it would be Vecna from the game after the unknown from the leaks. The more these leaks are proven true, the more it makes me really worried about these upcoming chapters. Everyone has been wanting stranger things vecna ever since season 4 came out. Though I understand as well as respect the devs for getting the DND license for vecna out of love and hard work (given how hard it is to get DND license holders to share the license like this), I can only imagine the potential outrage this will cause for the community. People are already fuming over the idea of getting DND vecna instead of ST vecna. Unless the leaks somehow end up false or they make ST vecna an alt skin, this is starting to look like a disaster of biblical proportions for this community.
It was bound to happen, and to add more wood to the fire, BHVR will probably do what they always do when a license is really wanted and they don't have it as next chapter: red hearring. Since pinhead teasers they have been doing it with fnaf fans, since they chose the specific ways to make people think it was springtrap instead of a goofy character from an old movie. Then they did the exact same thing with chucky, launching teasers with a kitchen knife shadow on a kitchen rack, like Springtrap uses in the fnaf movie. why? Because they love to use this hype around really wanted licenses like fnaf, stranger things pt2, and predator to get them as much attention just to release a character very few people wanted. That's why pinhead was a giant flop of a killer, he isn't interesting, neither fun, nor strong. And they will keep doing it, if I had to guess

People don't understand the importance of Vecna's entry from D&D to DBD. We have different types of licensed content, some linked to films, others linked to games, one of them is even licensed from a very famous mask, but we don't have much beyond that. This would be the first DLC based on a Tabletop RPG, as well as being the most famous of the genre. I imagine not only a large amount of customization, if you come with the survivor with Vecna he can be based on any class, in fact he doesn't even need to be human. Of course, after that other tabletop RPG properties may appear, such as the Vampire The Mascarade, the options increase even more. I've never been so excited about a DLC in all the time I've been playing Dead By Daylight, much more than part two of a DLC that we already have access to.

There’s a few collections on Steam, there’s a collection with Rondo of Blood and Symphony of the Night (widely seen as the two best games in the franchise) on PS4/5. The Lords of Shadow games are also on Steam. Most of the series is easily accessible except for the 3D and DS games. I do recommend playing them. They’re fantastic games.
It makes no sense to add specifically castlevania's Dracula. They could easily make their own version of a vampire and not jump through 2,000 hoops in the process.

@aetriandimitri190 not even a copy. One thing I like in ST is how the kids name the creatures after DnD characters to try and understand them. They are never actually even similar to the "real" DnD lore though. Sadly it confuses people that then think mindflayers are massive mist creatures lol. Also agreed about the kills.
@@kitnal4143 for the demogorgon and mindflayer yeah they are absolutely different. For Vecna they both share the undead look and a lot of the abilities ST Vecna has dnd Vecna can do through spells. I guess they aren't like signature abilities, but if we were to make a killer of DND Vecna ST Vecna could easily fit into the same power set.

Like, I haven't been watching a lot of your leak videos later if because of how accurate this has seemed as of late (and I still feel like Vecna might be pulling from Stranger Things more than from D&D); but if we're seeing people like MCote and Pat comment on these and are not focusing on the actually meat of the leaks, I wonder if all this was a ploy similar to the Analog horror style teasers leading up to this current chapter (All Things Wicked)
BIGGEST missed opportunity if it is DND Vecna. And personally I wouldn't be a fan of Castlevania Dracula. I'd rather have an original.
There is no way it's going to be castelavania's dracula vs an original vampire killer.
I’ll eat my words if proven wrong. I don’t think we’re getting DnD Vecna or Castlevania Dracula. DnD Vecna is by far one of the most powerful villains in fictional history. I can’t see them M1ing survivors and being stunned by pallets. He could enslave all the residents of the Entity’s Realm and perhaps rival the entity as he’s a multiverse level threat.
As for Dracula I would feel like Behavior would make their own original Dracula since they can keep making cosmetics and use him outside of DBD like in comics, merch, and even in films.
I mean does it make sense for Sadako or Pinhead to be stunned? They’re both extremely powerful beings.
You gotta remember that The Entity is essentially an eldritch god. If it wants something, it will get it. It shrank down the Armored Titan so it works within the trials. It removed a bunch of Freddy’s powers so he’d work, it can absolutely weaken Vecna to work within the confines of the realm
Dracula in Castlevania is actually almost as powerful as DnD Vecna. So the issue applies to both. However, it won't keep them from the game. BHVR just say "Entity > x and y" and the killers are in the game. They don't care about power scaling tbh.

I am a huge fan of DND and DBD and feel like DND Vecna fits more than ST. not only is the Vecna campaign for DND releasing near the anniversary for DBD, but Gumpy even said it would be Vecna from the game after the unknown from the leaks. The more these leaks are proven true, the more it makes me really worried about these upcoming chapters.
Everyone has been wanting stranger things vecna ever since season 4 came out. Though I understand as well as respect the devs for getting the DND license for vecna out of love and hard work (given how hard it is to get DND license holders to share the license like this), I can only imagine the potential outrage this will cause for the community. People are already fuming over the idea of getting DND vecna instead of ST vecna. Unless the leaks somehow end up false or they make ST vecna an alt skin, this is starting to look like a disaster of biblical proportions for this community.
It was bound to happen, and to add more wood to the fire, BHVR will probably do what they always do when a license is really wanted and they don't have it as next chapter: red hearring. Since pinhead teasers they have been doing it with fnaf fans, since they chose the specific ways to make people think it was springtrap instead of a goofy character from an old movie. Then they did the exact same thing with chucky, launching teasers with a kitchen knife shadow on a kitchen rack, like Springtrap uses in the fnaf movie. why? Because they love to use this hype around really wanted licenses like fnaf, stranger things pt2, and predator to get them as much attention just to release a character very few people wanted. That's why pinhead was a giant flop of a killer, he isn't interesting, neither fun, nor strong. And they will keep doing it, if I had to guess

People don't understand the importance of Vecna's entry from D&D to DBD. We have different types of licensed content, some linked to films, others linked to games, one of them is even licensed from a very famous mask, but we don't have much beyond that. This would be the first DLC based on a Tabletop RPG, as well as being the most famous of the genre. I imagine not only a large amount of customization, if you come with the survivor with Vecna he can be based on any class, in fact he doesn't even need to be human. Of course, after that other tabletop RPG properties may appear, such as the Vampire The Mascarade, the options increase even more. I've never been so excited about a DLC in all the time I've been playing Dead By Daylight, much more than part two of a DLC that we already have access to.

There’s a few collections on Steam, there’s a collection with Rondo of Blood and Symphony of the Night (widely seen as the two best games in the franchise) on PS4/5. The Lords of Shadow games are also on Steam. Most of the series is easily accessible except for the 3D and DS games. I do recommend playing them. They’re fantastic games.
