I'm a hard 3DS collector. I only collect 3ds games and started PS5 but that does count as much now. I'm trying to get every varient console, every game varient pretty much anything 3ds related. I love the 3DS, I think that was the console I didnt want Nintendo to move on from. I wish the library was a little bigger (With quality games though)

Absolutely love your channel. We have a lot of similarities. I live in Toronto Canada, and am going for a complete 3ds collection as well. Also heavily collecting the Vita. I also only collect locally. The only game for my collection that I bought online was just a couple days ago I bought a French version of the louvre guide. I also just in the last few weeks found some true holy grails. Being in Canada I found a loose copy of barbie groom and glam on sale. With reselling I got it for a good price. Also just recently got a sealed copy of yokai watch 3 and moco moco friends. I believe I have about 350 NA 3ds games now. Still a bit to go, but I'm looking forward to completing it. Being in Toronto I see quite a bit locally but yes the amount I'm finding of new additions has been slowing down drastically. Gonna have to start traveling more to find them. Again really love your channel and get a collecting push everything I watch you guys. Love it. Thanks both!
I've got 25 3DS games, out of those my favourites are the Fire Emblem Games (Awakening, Shadows, Birthright conquest & revelation as well as warriors), Samus Returns, Project X Zone 1&2 and finally the zelda games (ocarina,majora,link and warrriors). Favorite 3ds version? PAL SNES one. Just wish they didn't have TN screens.
3DS is a good console I grew up with it the switch was already out but still I have good memories playing Tomodachi life, the sims 3, and Super Mario 3-D land.

My best friend introduced me to the 3DS in 2016. Her and I would play Animal Crossing New Leaf all the time. She sadly passed away from cancer in 2017. Because of her I love the 3DS so much now. I’ve collected a ton of consoles. I think I have 13 now. Maybe one day I’ll start collecting the games 😅
if money was not the problem I would also be a physical game collector. These days I only buy steam games and once in a while buy a 2tb hard disk for NINTENDO ;)

man one time i found some dude who managed to get a pile of 3ds games idk how and im still questing for worms open warfare 2 which yall americans can find this under 10 minutes and right now it took me like 3 trips to find that game and still could not find it which is absurd for a game that cost 7 bucks which is the same price as a copy of kirby triple deluxe
I have about 87 games in my collection. Emulation isn't really recommended either. I had a vital modded and it just sat on my shelf. There is more nostalgia in having physical copies. When I see them kn the shelf it makes me want to play them
I'm going for the full 721 CIB SNES library with the kicker of I can only get funds by finding / selling free furniture locally. If i sell something I use 50% of that sale to buy SNES as I'll NEVER find boxes/manuals/carts locally there's too many and RARE AF games. Currently at 380cib and pieces of 500 going on since oct 2021 Mostly buying in bulk and keeping what I need and resell the rest to break even or some RARE cases profit. turned my hobby into full time job even. Now I sell games online full time and make youtube videos about the things i buy/sell/find etc THANKS!

Even had a chance in 19 for Burning Rangers around your Barbie game's price. D-oh!
I'm new to the Switch and DS/3DS. I prefer the Switch because I can hook it up to my TV and play on the big screen, but the 3DS comes close. I love the variety of special edition handhelds they did for 3DS. I was hoping to like the DS, but agree with you that a lot of the games are subpar.
Favorite game is almost impossible to say. I have so many to sift through. Radiant Historia, maybe? Or A Link Between Worlds? Mario Kart 7 is awesome, too.

For the most favorite 3DS game(s) I would say firstly Super Mario 3D land, when it came out in the beginnings of the 3DS release, I was hooked how Mario moved in a really ashtonishing 3D world, with the 3D effect on! Never saw this ever before, and I was quite excited about it to play this game, and it was also my very first 3DS game. The most hours I spend also on 3DS was Mario Kart the online section of it, spend way too many hours on it. For now, my 3DS is collecting dust, because of the huge backlog I have... My most valuable is the 3DS Fire Emblem console with the sword and the white version of these. Played a lot on these back in the early days. The most enjoyable game I find is a game from the eshop: Zelda Ages and Seasons normally on Gameboy :D Way too much fun with those. Love and greetings from Belgium!

I've always hunted for games you would laugh my first game I found in a thrift store in early 2000s was ff8 I had sold my copy not long after for stuff for college so was happy lol

I am working on a full vita set I have 299 vita games. I have to do online as I have seen vita games in the wild only once in the last 2 years. For me it’s patience like I had eBay notifications on ar nosurge for over a year before finding a price I could swallow. So it’s still a hunt.
Honestly, coming from someone that has almost the entire library of GBC, GBA, NDS, and 3DS games on an SD card, I would honestly much rather have the physical versions. Even though I DID start when Nintendo officially stopped the support and shops for the 3DS (to feel morally better about it) I'm still incredibly impressed with the physical library you guys have made. AND you are also doing a huge part in influencing people to collect and trade and prevent E-waste. 🤓 You made a subscriber out of me.
Ok, what will you do when you got the whole set? Why do you need all of these games on the shelf? Will you sell them back on the market? Will you bequeath them to your relatives when you die? What's the point?
Ok! Let's answer these one at a time: When we get the whole set we will celebrate! We don't NEED all of the games on the shelf, we want them. We will not be selling these games, they are ours to keep and play. Our games will likely go to our kids (once we have them lol) once we pass. What's the point? The 3DS collecting journey is a fun activity that my wife can enjoy doing together. Plus, we love playing games on the 3DS so it's a great fit 😀

This weekend I saw Barbie Glam And Groom Pups laying on a yardsale table. I got so excited, I went blind. I quickly looked it up and I thought it said 250.00. I quickly handed the 8.00 which she asked for. Not to be selfess, I bought her other crappy games at 8.00 each. When I got back to my car and my sanity returned, I found out I had the Ds version. So, if you want a cheap look alike I'll sell it to you for 8.00.😂😂😂😂😂
Do you guys only collect ESRB or will you want PEGI too? Cos i'm uk based and have FIFA 13, Pro Evo 2012 and Transformers but they're PEGI. Happy to just send this to you if you pay for postage to US.
If the 3ds wasn’t region locked then I could have gotten you 3 games of the list. I would have sent them a while ago now. Maybe you could ask some store owners you do a lot of business with to keep an eye out for the games you still need. Good luck hunting though and keep on doing what you enjoy
I've heard that 3DS got no region lock. What's the truth? For Switch there's no region lock, BUT the download codes are region specific. So for example Mega Man Legacy Collection got Vol 1 as a physical game card and Vol 2 as a DL code, but that download code is region locked to a specific eShop. That's what I've heard/read.

I found out from Nintendo's own info: DS: "older DS and DS Lite software is region free" and "possible that future DS software will have a region lock". 3DS: region locked. And according to a site (not Nintendo) there's 3 regions - Japan, Europe+Australia & America. Region free DS games will work on all 3DS consoles. Thanks for bringing this topic up to the light and that I had a good reason to investigate this! I wonder why I had the feeling that 3DS games are region free. Maybe I've mixed that up with DS?
I agree about DS game library/catalogue. Too much garbage and too few great games. And that make me think about this: DS sold better than 3DS (console sales). Why did the better console sell worse? Crazy! 3DS got so many great games! Ocarina & Majora (3D remakes) Metroid 2 (remake) Zelda A Link Between Worlds Super Mario 3D Land Mega Man Legacy Collection 1 And soooo much more! I got a New 3DS XL. Got around 30 games. I'm just trying to buy the juicy little nuggets and not all games ever released. DS got some good/big releases like: Mario Kart DS New Super Mario Bros Maybe a few more, I know there's Sonic Colors and a few more good games. And remember, Nintendo never shut down the eShop! They only removed the possibility to buy games and download free stuff. eShop is still running so you can re-download everything you've bought. I wish they could have waited a few more years! Hope that you will find the missing games! Fingers crossed!

My favorite Nintendo 3DS game is New Super Mario Bros 2, and I think Super Mario 3D Land and maybe Mario Kart 7. Yeah, I don't know. I use an emulator to play those Nintendo 3DS games. I respect Nintendo, but I can't get the console. Cool video! Keep it up!

I got back into 3ds collecting because of you guys so far found some games that I really enjoy. Also I don’t think you guys need the Barbie game to complete your 3ds collection because as you said you wouldn’t play it and it’s just to expensive.

I am working on a full vita set I have 299 vita games. I have to do online as I have seen vita games in the wild only once in the last 2 years. For me it’s patience like I had eBay notifications on ar nosurge for over a year before finding a price I could swallow. So it’s still a hunt.

Honestly, coming from someone that has almost the entire library of GBC, GBA, NDS, and 3DS games on an SD card, I would honestly much rather have the physical versions. Even though I DID start when Nintendo officially stopped the support and shops for the 3DS (to feel morally better about it) I'm still incredibly impressed with the physical library you guys have made. AND you are also doing a huge part in influencing people to collect and trade and prevent E-waste. 🤓

When we get the whole set we will celebrate!
We don't NEED all of the games on the shelf, we want them.
We will not be selling these games, they are ours to keep and play.
Our games will likely go to our kids (once we have them lol) once we pass.
What's the point? The 3DS collecting journey is a fun activity that my wife can enjoy doing together. Plus, we love playing games on the 3DS so it's a great fit 😀

This weekend I saw Barbie Glam And Groom Pups laying on a yardsale table. I got so excited, I went blind. I quickly looked it up and I thought it said 250.00. I quickly handed the 8.00 which she asked for. Not to be selfess, I bought her other crappy games at 8.00 each. When I got back to my car and my sanity returned, I found out I had the Ds version. So, if you want a cheap look alike I'll sell it to you for 8.00.😂😂😂😂😂

If the 3ds wasn’t region locked then I could have gotten you 3 games of the list. I would have sent them a while ago now. Maybe you could ask some store owners you do a lot of business with to keep an eye out for the games you still need. Good luck hunting though and keep on doing what you enjoy

I've heard that 3DS got no region lock. What's the truth?
For Switch there's no region lock, BUT the download codes are region specific. So for example Mega Man Legacy Collection got Vol 1 as a physical game card and Vol 2 as a DL code, but that download code is region locked to a specific eShop. That's what I've heard/read.

I found out from Nintendo's own info:
DS: "older DS and DS Lite software is region free" and "possible that future DS software will have a region lock".
3DS: region locked. And according to a site (not Nintendo) there's 3 regions - Japan, Europe+Australia & America. Region free DS games will work on all 3DS consoles.

I agree about DS game library/catalogue. Too much garbage and too few great games. And that make me think about this: DS sold better than 3DS (console sales). Why did the better console sell worse? Crazy!

I got a New 3DS XL. Got around 30 games. I'm just trying to buy the juicy little nuggets and not all games ever released.
DS got some good/big releases like:
Mario Kart DS
New Super Mario Bros
Maybe a few more, I know there's Sonic Colors and a few more good games.
And remember, Nintendo never shut down the eShop! They only removed the possibility to buy games and download free stuff. eShop is still running so you can re-download everything you've bought.
I wish they could have waited a few more years!
