Nomad civilian ship is now being used as a neutral unit that creates new mining drone stations. Also I remember nomad cruisers being used together with some other ugly oversized model to represent the fleet of people who show up to bomb some hidden colony of symbiotic parasites. I think you have to colonize tomb worlds to get a Grand Herald dig site. There is an AI advanced corvet with unique model that can be rescued from toxic planet

It comes from an event were you find a destroyed science ship and somehow through a time paradox you establish communication with the crew before they die. You can either warn them or not. The starfang can actually be encountered in current stellaris, just not useable by the player. I don't remember the name of the event but it spawns in the pulsar anomaly where you encounter the debris of the Kotahlo, and then encounter a ship of the same name and design. whether or not you tell them about their death, they will die, creating a second instance of the ship in the pulsar system and adding i think it was 10 physics research to the star

The starfang ship style looks awesome. Something like that would be great as a unique ship from specific events. Hell, I wouldn't mind an entire shipset based on that design.

    • @13g0man

Or make the Megastructure accept ships that are only not part of a currently used shipset. Find a mammalian cruiser with no mammals in the galaxy? Did you know you can get your own personal asteroid? Exactly as the ones that sometimes try to smush primitives, it doesn't exactly do much, but you can get it. All you need to do is the following:
    - Find the rock brain/migraine event
    - Be any lithoid species
    - Be reanimators civic
while normally you get the choice to try to talk to it or just watch it for some research, as lithoids you get to actually talk to it, find out it has the intelligence of "special" child, then it dies, but as reanimators you can resurrect it. After spending an absurt amount of society research/month you can finally have your own personal pet space rock.
Perhaps it has some use I have not found yet, or perhaps it is the leftovers of some scrapped event chain, but it feels unfinished.
Still, it is there and you can get your own pet rock.

Okay, so this has lead me down a rabbit hole of looking at files, which lead me to one very interesting event chain that I have almost never seen, the Drifting Battlefield as the wiki calls it, which starts with an anomaly that can only happen on continental and gaia worlds. Looking through the event files, if you get the right outcome from it, it will give you a fleet consisting of one "Persistent" (an event only ship not mentioned here, that is also very rare), one "Starfang" (as discussed in video), two "Voidstalker" (the Nomad Cruiser discussed here), one "seeker" (another event ship not discussed, which shares its model with the S.8751 Warform), and one "Sword" (the sunken cruiser in the video). I have, at best, encountered this once, and got pirates instead of this fleet.
The Paridayda event chain also involves two of these ship types, with a fleet using the designs of the Persistent and Voidstalker coming to purge the mardak vol.
The Starfang model is also used for the Kohtalo in the event of finding a wreck next to a pulsar, and then later finding that same ship. As well as if you decide to get a science ship instead of the engine upgrade from the Adrift anowmaly.
The Sword model is also used as the Wenkwort Enforcers.
eventship_03 - Judgement does in fact appear to be completely unreferenced outside of its own definitions as an ambient object, ship size, and section template (not even a design, basically just means you can make a design with the model, but). There are also models for an eventship_08 and eventship_09 that are not referenced at all, and thus truly unused. Aside from these, and eventship_04 (which is AH4B from the Tiyenki Matriarch), all other eventships can be found in the Drifting Battlefield event: 01 is Sword, 02 is Seeker, 05 is Voidstalker, 06 is Starfang, and 07 is Persistent.
Edit: decided to actually do some in-game testing with console commands, and apparently I missed that the Vol fleet includes the Sword model as well. Also, the Persistent model is grossly oversized. In both cases, it's labeled as a destroyer, but is significantly larger than the cruisers it's found alongside. Also the fleet only shows up if you refuse to let them purge the Mardak as they request.

An official feature to turn unique event ships into little memorials would be great. Give it a button like what you can use to create mercenary enclaves. I think the unique ships from events have two possible endgame results.
Once you own a science Nexus, and either a Art Hub or a Diplo Hub, you get a prompt asking if your unique ships should be placed on show at either establishment while copies of the original (with ability to refit) become available for design and construction in the late game.
Stuff like the Nanite Cruiser might seem overpowered until you realise it can only take items you have researched and will cost Nanites for their hull construction. And thus I would also like to be able to replace the Numa and Ratitie trade fleets should they be wiped out of the Galaxy by fanatic Purifiers (should I have some of their pops in my empire thanks to events). In return they pay you back small rewards of rare or exotic materials each year, and offer you the various offerings of their original group.
Or perhaps let me build my own Caravan fleet with any Nomadic pops for the sake of interest.

It requires 1 unique ship to build, but after building it you can permanently add more unique ships to its exhibit, maybe getting a 5% increase in whatever the Museum gives for each additional unique ship.

I don’t know whether it’s been mentioned, but the “Drifting Battlefield” event chain has an outcome where you get a fleet of 6 ships. One of them has the starving style, another has the sea born style, and there’s 3 more styles, one that was mentioned in this video, and 2 that weren’t

10:23 I'm almost positive I had that ship spawn from an event where I discovered it and it had an AI and I could let the AI join me or scrap the ship. I obvs let it join me and it was that ship, with a robot as the admiral and I couldn't remove it or merge it with any other fleets. Worldmender! That's what it was called. It was a terraforming ship that you can let join your navy. It was probably from a mod.

There's a event where a bunch of different empires turned against each other in the past, you can repair them and get a dozen different models ranging from the starfang to the model from that one ai ship that's melting away. I also remember a event where you can either get a 10 sublight speed bonus or a advanced science ship, and the ship had the starfang model.

The starfang is still in the game. I cannot for the life of me remember how I got it but there was an event where I got a fleet of like 5 ships. I remember some of the models were bugged but Starfang and the Nomad cruiser were both in it as well as 3 other unique models as I recall. Those are ships are not on your list but I specifically remember one was bugged such that it was several times larger than it should have been and part of the rest of the fleet would end up inside it.

Starfang and the nomad cruiser also pop up together with a streamlined-fish design and a big ugly corvette in some weird fleet that you can find - I've got screenshots of it but no idea what the event was called.
I've had the event twice, maybe three times, in about 3000 hours of gameplay.

One of my favorites is the Tiny Mega Ship built by the small rodent sized people or whatever that according to the event is "more advanced then we could possibly imagine." And you have to upgrade and retrofit it to even be usable. And can even upgrade it later on. I just wish there was more than one event to upgrade it. I think it would be awesome to be able to make it bigger and better again and again over the course of the game until it's like the size of a Titan. It's corvette sized yet even before the first upgrade after retrofitting it, it's equal to greater than a cruiser in strength.

Wasn't there a event chain for xenophile/egalitarian empires where you would get a battleship class ship that had a titan laser? I remember something about meeting the last member of a egalitarian species. That event chain gifted a ship, but I can't remember what it looked like. It might have been judgment. I know for certain that it had a titan laser for sure.

Starfang is still in the game, its used in 2 events. The ourpbouros one where you find a destroyed science ship around a neutron star and then find a same ship and you can either warn them of the star's danger or not. Both options lead to their destruction. Their ship is the starfang model. The second event is a derelict ship anomaly where you find the anomaly, investigate it and can choose from getting the ship as a science ship or tear it apart for a + 10% ship speed boost.

As for the grand herald, I sort of remembered that when it first came out it was pretty common and a viable strategy back then was to rush to get it by the time players would only have cruiser level tech, and you will have a titan to play around. I don't remember if they fixed it but it seemed they did turn down the rate a bit.
Also the Starfang is cool, pls add it into the base game paradox

Maybe because he's alone, and get focus fired, but the supposed 45k was more like 30k. He does regenerate if he dies, so I kept throwing him at the contingency to slowly whittle them down.

I do not know if this ship was added by mods or not as I have only ever found it once. But there was an event that spawned a ship that could fit inside a player empire pop's hand. At first you think that it is a model of the ship but later you discover that the race that built it was just so small that in comparison the ship discovered could fit an unimaginable amount of pops and travel through the void. *Talk about efficiency in engineering*
Hopefully someone else can provide more details as this is about all I can remember. In addition there is a rare event chain in the same vein as an Unbidden style science ship where your science crew is trapped in the shroud and they eventually return in science ship as a concept. In general the concept ship is pretty much the same as a normal science ship except it being fixed. I believe it occurs only when a empire has Mind over Matter or possibly Transcendence why they are still mapping the galaxy.

What if the first Megastructure you could build was the Orbital Drydock Museum?
Not sure how it would work for Ringworlds, but you could only build it around an uninhabitable planet. You'd assign ships to it like a fleet, and they'd show up in drydock, providing naval capacity equal to what they take, and maybe unity and/or trade value from tours to see all the ships of yore.
Probably wouldn't be too expensive in tech or resources since it is more an RP building, like whatever Star Treks Mars shipyard was that I'm blanking on the name.

Kinda doesn't count as a ship but since it acts like one got to add the juvenile ameoba. I know it isnt that rare but if you are lucky you can encounter her early in the game (which is far more unlikely), and after about 100 years which is id say about the start of the mid game she can have around 5k strength which is very nice to have. Yes she is slow and i wish she gave a buff such as ship build speed 5% when she is near a dockyard or 10% happiness in a colonised system or habitat. However, if you are an empire who doesn't put much emphasis on war and combat she can be a really nice defensive boost to have late early-mid game. Plus she is just fun to have around.

In regards to the grand herald. When it was first added to the game it was stupidly op and it spawned in nearly every game. whatever empire found it would faceroll the early game. You had better hope a devouring swarm or a fanatical purifier didnt find it or it was game over. They nerfed its spawn rate as well as its fleet strength but even so its a considerable boon to any empire in early to mid game.

Yes, on they should have a feature that let's us create a museum that gets us diplo weight or some other useful thing out of it. Would be nice to have a place to dumb all the cool looking event ships and even the less cool looking ones that removes them as a drain on naval capacity. Like even let us place bubbles there.
Grand Herald seems like it suffers from balance issues. It started out as way OP and common and sadly has been made pretty inaccessible. If there is a digsite that would benefit from being a slider, this would be the one. Have three options:
-Doesn't spawn, could be the default for MP
-Spawns only for players after a colony event and this could be the default for single player
-Will spawn as a randomly spawned digsite for any empire
Then they could make it appear at a decent rate because if people feel it's too OP, they can just not have it spawn. Also a wild card for potentially making the game harder, if the AI gets it. Heck, could even add a fourth option that makes it spawn only for AI empires. Granted, sometimes the AI getting it can make things easier if you blow it up and scan the debris.
Anyways, they need to bring some of these models back. The salvagers and the caravanners could be a option. Salvagers could have an event that pops up once you max out your rep with them, where they offer to sell you a neat ancient ships they've found in random places. As for the caravanners. could add prize tickets tot he reliquaries that can be exchanged for ancient ships that the caravanners have come across. Also would help if caravanner fleets were smarter, as in stopped trying to navigate through known hostile systems and if their system is left untouched, they would respawn after a set amount of time (obviously, it would be the faction that was destroyed and never any of the factions that weren't already present).
