We spoke to women who claim that Haus of Traviance posted photos of his designs on the biggest female names in hip hop. Once the women placed their orders- some totaling up to several hundred dollars- they never heard from Traviance again. Is the business overwhelmingly popular... or this a straight up scam?

If he truly was overwhelmed & had too many orders & not enough time than he cld hve simply apologized & return the $. Instead he just kept taking more orders. So he knew exactly what he was doing
I'm sick of these businesses/freelancers giving 100% to celebrities and give non celebrities they ass to kiss. Same thing with these hair companies who send influencer's the goof wigs to review but be matted, shedding and smelly in the hands of regular people. Treat all your customers fairly!
He "fitted" but did not make Cardi dress in 30 minutes. That means it was altered to fit her body. Sounds like she was not aware of the difference.🙄 Plus a seamstress would need to get her measurements. That would of been 1st red flag for me. She just sending cash, no measurements or nothing. You know better you do better.

That last comment was garbage, she didn't shop with him to support a small black business. He was big in the media and gained his trust through celebrities. This is why it's hard to be a black owned business today. It sucks how quick we are to bash black owned businesses. All you have to do is do your research and if something goes wrong bash his business stop saying black as if we all do that. I operate on a professional level and its a slap in the face frfr.

I think it’s impossible to please everyone and do everything right when it comes to a growing business. My cousin got a prom dress made by him and she had no issues and we aren’t close to being celebs.
yes but the difference is he took these people money and they never got their dress if it was so impossible he could have communicated that or said something before taking their money business is business people lost hundreds of dollars when it could have been spent on a different designer. Your cousin may have had a good experience but that’s her he also refused to give people their money back it was more than one person who complained about it i understand if it was one person and he was not a fault for it but nah
"Impossible to please everyone." That has absolute NOTHING to do with the fact that he's not fulfilling orders with no reimbursement. Theft is not a matter of being unsatisfied with a product. And your experience doesn't dismiss the fact that others are being scammed.

What if he is getting too many clients that is too much for his production capabilities and he just can't keep up? If he charged his dresses at least 1,000.00 + I am curious if that would reduce the amount of work, he would have to do. It's not right though to take people money and not give a refund.

If he can’t handle the work load then he shouldn’t take on the clients. Instead he continues to accept clients. He recently scammed me and I’m taking legal actions.
