I hyped for Evo! Mods were announced, but as with AC1, the dev kit for mods will only come after the full release.
i'm going to buy it simply because diverse weather and times are finally part of the core game and the open world is going to be fun. but i'd be even happier if they also improved the resource management. i don't wanna download 100 cars to join a lobby where i only wanna drive 1 or 2 cars. the game needs to make sure to stay small so that i don't constantly have to justify keeping it on my computer at all
The thing is that carX streets and forza horizon are arcade games thats why for ous sim racers its only fun for a few days, this is going to be the first simracing open world game, its going to be sick
So excited for Evo
I'm in two minds about Assetto Corsa EVO. I will be buying the early access version knowing that there will only be a limited number of cars and tracks at initial release with more content being released during the early access period. The free roam environment, for instance, is not supposed to be released until Summer 2025 and I expect there will be several paid DLC packs released post-launch. My main concern is that it's going to be competing against the original AC and, as you rightly point out, the original AC has a huge head-start in terms of quality mods which is going to make it hard for EVO to compete, especially for players who are interested in areas like drifting, touge, JDM, etc which don't look like they will be in the EVO base game. Modding will apparently be supported in EVO post-launch but it's not clear yet whether there are going to be any restrictions on mods and even if there aren't it's likely going to take years for the modding community to become proficient at developing mods for EVO. In the meantime I'm fully expecting to keep the original AC installed for those experiences that EVO won't be able to provide.
Summer?? Man I didn't know it would be that long. So it's basically gonna be a 6 month roll out until the game fully releases. And if that's the case maybe a year before mods even get good or "approved" apparently 🤔
There is also a lot of mods in ac1 thats not great, actully the majority of the mods is of lower quality,
It might take some time for ac evo to get to its full pontential, but the pontential is much greter for ac evo than ac1, a lot of more pontential for the mods as well when it gets fully released,
They said no mods ripped from other games will be allowed and that they want to work to license any car mods. Map mods should be more open as long as they aren’t stolen assets from different game and are made custom like LAC and Project Kaido’s maps etc.
I personally think, that if it is more or less similar to the original 'on track', but without all the hassle with updates and spending that much time in the confusing mess aka content manager - but instead having an inbuilt userfriendly mod UI, with only the good mods listed, i believe it will be a huge success for many years to come.
sim racers dont want highend PCs we already gave out 500nucks for the wheels and stuff.
kudos to kunos
some of us did both xD
Very excited for assetto corsa evo this game is going to be huge, it might take some time to see it in its best, but the things kunos push for this title means it could even surpace giants like gran turismo 7 and forza horizon 5 in features alone, they are sure going all in, just imagine all pontential with mod support, not just cars and tracks, but also completly open world maps, maybe even upgrade and aero parts created by modders,
I think the recommended specs is more based on resolution these days. If you want to play in 2k yes all those specs make since. 4k no way you will need cards like 4080 or 7900xtx.
Yeah its possible. I know the big sim guys love triple screens. I don't think a 2070 will manage that comfortably but maybe at 1080. I don't have experience with triples yet
I deleted AC to make room for EVO. Ive had my fun with AC for long enough and its just taking up to much space bc of mods. i only really play Dirt 2 and Beam when im not on Iracing so ill stick to those games and maybe take a few laps on EVO time to time .i was kinda suprised to still see no price on the game in steam. already have it wished and all. but still feel a littel burned on the fact we wont see the free roam just yet. With the Mod support and backing of the devs over time i have faith in them and the modders .
I think it’s funny people are comparing it to ac1 for modding when ac1 already exists. Kunos is aiming for a broad audience with this that doesn’t want to mess with installing mods on assetto corsa and likes to just hop in a game like gt7 or forza I feel. There’s no chance the modding will be like ac1 since they said in interviews they’ll have their own mod repository style system with licensing for cars and not allow mods ripped from other games, maps on the might be more open season since most real life areas at least and made from scratch map mods (LAC, PK Akina etc.) that aren’t ripped from another game and just turned into a mod have no licensing limitations. It’ll be a more refined and limited version of assetto corsa that I feel a wider audience can enjoy but it’ll never be the craziness that ac1 is in the way of drifting around los santos in an s chassis.
Worst time ever to be injured 😢
Gonna get it, but they already stated. No Online and No Open World when it gets released. Open World aspect isn't until November. and NO MOD support.. :/
Open world comes in summer 2025, online proably around same time,
Its an early access, so it will be limited the first couble of months, kunos does this so they can make the final product as good as possible,
Mod support is confirmed to come out after 1.0 gets released.
The pontential for this racing game is bigger than anything Else ever released
@@andreasmoller9798 Yeah. I was just referring to what to expect in the next few days when it gets released. Single Player, no Mod.. No Online... I'm okay with that. I want to make sure this plays perfect, before online releases. I'm VERY happy with AC, I don't like ACC as much. I like the supercars and open wheel in AC and ACEvo , I hope will give me more of that RUSH!.. :)
Mods cannot be part of early access because early access is a review period and you can't have clients installing 3rd party stuff and reviewing the game on the 3rd party stuff basis. It will ruin the game before it even gets sold
@@warrenkibinge4484 I was referring to the launch day. what to expect. There was a debate to alllow mods, but they are going to monetize the mods. I'm cool with that. As long as mods are allowed. If not, then AC1 will continue to be #1 on my system.. I've beta tested before. I understand the process.
Carx fucked us too many times. And with two delays only to release an unfinished game, 3 year delay, people were over it before it even came out, then when it came out everyone was so surprised and put it on a pedistoll, once the hype wore off we saw it for what it was.
Yeah that game really popped out of nowhere as a surprise. It got pretty repetitive and the "story" didn't seem to advance much. The characters stopped talking to you after a while 😂
I’m very confused on what this game is supposed to be, is this going to replace regular Assetto Corsa and Modders will be making drift maps and car packs for the game? Or is this another ACC, like a GT style racing game that has nothing to do with drifting and Touge? Like I genuinely don’t know wtf its purpose is 😂
Game drops next week and steam still doesn’t have a price for it yet 😆🤦🏾♂️
How much do you think the sim is going to cost? I wanna say $50-60
Seeing how big the game plans to be I'm thinking $60 also BUT with it only being limited in the very beginning I'm not sure everyone will shell out $60 for a 'demo' style game for the first few months. Maybe they'll do $30 now and $30 dlc when open world unlocks
Jeez theres no satisfying some, a game comes out requiring a NASA super computer and ppl whinge - a game comes out that is possibly optimised so well that it'll allow us peasants with lower end piston and steam driven systems to play and you whinge - whats with that!
Well i'm concerned not so much over the game or the mods feature which i think will eventually be like the original.. but i am VERY concerned about the state of online play....because the original AC online racing i'm sorry but it's being ruined by imho spamming the servers with SRP open road and practice servers.. it's ok having those servers, but when this imho trash dominate whats available, i'm not interested.
Know why i got into sim racing many many years ago?, because of the adrenelin rush of competive racing regardless of whether that was agains the AI or humans....and this is what the new sim needs to focus on....
This to me means varied racing rotationg tracks on servers, Mixed weather racing Ie in online play, longer racing, to actually use pitstop feature.....if this sim turns into another FH then i don't want to know period,,,, I installed SRP and was totlly bored and totally underwhelmed in no time at alll...this cannot be allowwed to happen to ACE, else it's going to be a disaster imho.... the evaluation system used in ACC is a good idea though, as i have noticed that racing is much fairer even if not perfect in ACCC compareed to the other sims i have played...so this works..
SRP= borefest period
Cheers
nah probably just gonna keep playing assetto corsa and not making the switch
Yeah can't blame you. If I wasn't trying to make content I would probably wait until other reviews and news first
@ I just drift will have to wait and see how it’ll go
I am going to leave ac1 in the dust as soon as ac evo comes out.
@@andreasmoller9798 just gonna wait till mods start happening 20 cars aint enough
@@cypherXiii mods are not happening until final release come out, 20 cars is not much but it will be expanded doing early access,
And unlike ac1, you Will have much more customize options with the cars,
